Going against a tempo rogue as Handlock, cleared his threats, played Jaraxxus with lethal on board, the fucker topdecks Second Blink fox for Sac pact lethal , talk about luck
Luck has nothing to do with it. There is literally nothing random about this game.
I play warrior, I love it, but I don't play that shit bomb. I play proper control with 6 board clears, 3 weapon removals, 2 doomsayers AND STILL FUCKING LOSE AGAINST DRUIDS
Hearthstone (especially Casual mode) is full of assholes and REALLY stupid people. I had a quest to play 100 Murlocs and of course my idiot Big Priest and Even Shaman opponents don't realize that I'm just playing weak Murlocs and draw for a fucking quest, there is absolutely no way I can kill them and I would have conceded anyway after playing them, but no, the degenerate imbecile cretins have to kill me on turn 4 even though I'm not even attacking them. Shout out to one Jade Shaman who let me play my stuff and cleared my board, you're the MVP, all of the other guys can go fuck themselves.
Your are correct, asshole playing Tempo Rogue in Casual who decides to BM "Mistakes were made" before lethal. There were mistakes made namely: my mistake was thinking anyone would actually use Casual to play actual casual decks rather than tier 1 metadecks.
Okay I'm done. I've seen 20+ Tempo Rogues in Casual in the last two days. From now on every single Rogue in Casual gets roped every. single. turn. I'm so fucking sick of this you POS farming cunts. Way to totally ruin the "fun, experimental" phase of a new expansion - I can't play one damn Non-Tier-1 metadeck without being dead on turn 6. So fine, you don't want this VIDEO GAME to be fun - you want it to be "work" well now you get to work for 45 minutes as I drag these matches out as long as I possible can. DISHONOR ON YOU AND YOUR FUCKING COWS!
This game would be really fun if they didn't feel the need to manipulate the RNG so much that it takes all thought and strategy out of the game. Spoon feeding perfect draws to people may be a way to keep new players playing but it is ruining the game for those of us that remember when you used to have to think while playing Hearthstone.
I don't know if this is salty, but I don't know where else to put this and it sounds negative yet I think it's a total solution: The hell with trying to climb the ranks. I've gone all the way up and fallen all the way down like three times this month already. I hopped on the bomb warrior wagon but warrior matches are soooooo looooooong. The hell with trying to farm gold from Casual because casual is way too formal. Nope nope nope. I've got my trashy bombing Mech Hunter deck, my garbage-spitting Zoo Warlock, my spell-heavy Token Druid and my minion-heavy Token Druid, and I'm ready to farm Ranked for gold. Can't lose any stars so I might as well rack up some pack credits. I'm going to auto-concede in the following situations: 1) Rogue pulls out an huge, early Edwin 2) any warriors 3) whenever a mage duplicates some piece of huge garbage. That should make the gold farming efficient.
This expansion was fun for a while because there are some pretty cool new cards. However, a VAST majority of these games are decided by a simple RNG coin toss. Whether it's who has the better opening hand, like Token Druid or Zoo Warlock getting the absolute nuts and slaughtering you by turn 5 before you can develop anything on the board, Khadgar Mage getting a board full of giants on turn 5 because you don't draw answers in time, etc...or Waggle Pick Rogues...
**Simple math for the HS Development team: Waggle Pick on turn 4, Leeroy + Waggle Pick bounce turn 5, 3 mana Leeroy + Shadowstep + 3 mana Leeroy on turn 6...that's 26 damage from 3 cards...add a Prep-Eviscerate anywhere in there for a full 30 damage in 3 turns using only 5 cards, all possible by turn 6. Fun fact: There's only 1 class in the entire game that can directly heal that much HP back in 5 turns and it's not even Priest, it's Druid. You can run all the weapon removal or all the taunts you want, but sometimes the game just decides to put it all in the bottom of the deck. If no answer, you lose. Period.**
I watched a 40 minute game where a Control Warrior COMPLETELY outplayed a Big Shaman the entire game. The Shaman made obvious misplays almost every turn. The Warrior made ZERO. However, the Shaman just kept getting Lucky Witch's Brews from Hagatha plus a disgusting 2 extra Walking Fountains and 2 extra Shudderwocks from Elysiana. In the end, despite the fact that the Warrior straight up outplayed the Shaman in every conceivable way, answering everything the Shaman threw out with precision and skill, trading flawlessly, maintaining board control for the entire 40 minutes of the game, staying at 30+ health while the Shaman was on the brink of death most of the game, the Shaman got a lucky RNG roll on his 5th or 6th copy of Big Bad Voodoo (from Hagatha) on an extra copy of Shudderwock (from Elysiana), rolled Deathwing, put Windfury (from Hagatha) on it, and the Warrior just ran out of answers.
Just to put that game into a good analogy that describes the level of competitiveness, it would be like watching Lebron James play against a child in a completely unfair "ranked" game, Lebron outscoring the child 200 to 0, then at the end of the game the child gets a chance to be awarded 201 points and the win for taking one shot backward, over his head, across the court and having it go into the basket. That's not "sport." That's a joke.
It's not even possible to escape the shit show of turn 5 victories or 40 minute slug fests on ladder and play "fun" decks in casual anymore because it's has become the practice ground for people who want to "learn" Tier 1 net decks without losing their precious rank points. With top ladder finishers getting Tournament invites with insane prize pools, Twitch streamers making ridiculous sums of money, and Hearthstone being a competitive e-sport, laddering has become a profession. However, Hearthstone's ladder doesn't even have the same rules as the actual tournament, yet the results of the ladder determine who competes in the tournaments. What in the actual fuck?
Anyway, the point of this whole rant is I have always thoroughly enjoyed Hearthstone and have always wanted badly for this game to actually be what it pretends to be -- a competitive game that involves using your brain to actually outplay your opponent and win, but with more interactive gameplay and cooler animations than other CCGs. I don't know if anyone else feels the same way or took the time to read all that, but anyway...I wanted to vent.
Oh my god this. Endlessly this.
I used to love hearthstone because the decks back then all had limited resources, so it was a matter of being able to find subtle ways to get more value from your cards. I really missed Gadgetzan meta, where the Renolock matchup was one of the hardest matchups to master.
But now every game is just a match between an unstoppable force and an immovable object. In wild, rogues have infinitely large weapons, priests can shit out an endless stream of fatties, warriors can end up with ten billion armour. And blizzard doesn’t even bat an eye while they nerfed Lackey for being able to cheat out stuff to early and how that’s unfun.
Blizzard’s design philosophy is a shit show. They always want to put more power and OP mechanics in the game, but they never ever had any idea of printing good answers. In fact, the reason why control decks in wild has been declining is because they just haven’t printed a good control card since Lord Godfrey, and most control decks don’t even have a chance against the top tier decks in wild rn because all of them are some kind of infinite value bs.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
I'm Playing: Evenlock and Mill Rogue in Wild HS, Azami Control in EDH
Darkest Hour warlock is fucking stupid. They obviously didnt fucking test this card It's Nagalock all over again except worse because you just fucking die and can't react they aren't going to change it because its evident they don't give a single fuck about wild otherwise Barnes would be nerfed fucking years ago but nope still spoiling the Big Priest fans rotten, I bet every employee they have that actually likes to play the game are most likely Big Priest tards and try to insist not nerfing what they think is their idea of a good design.
This expansion should be called "Rise of cards that require a specific or immediate answer or you lose right there" instead.
Chef Nomi priest auto lose for control decks and only way for them to beat it is if Shaman gets the scheme from hero card and manage to get it to 6 and for CW has to be specifically Dragon version getting 3rd Brawl off of the 2/2 discover because they just have 2 seance and 2 full clears are obviously not enough.
Darkest Hour Warlock requires you to clear every single turn or they just kill you when they can Darkest Hour.
Required to have multiple copies of weapon removal or Rogue just shits all over you.
Tug of war with Archivist chick. Whoever's got an extra bounce over the opponent wins. If you got both the same amount well you both just waisted 30+ minutes doing fuck all.
Don't have hex, sap, execute for 12/12 Edwin? Well I guess I'll just die then.
Don't have board clear every turn for Token? You lose.

Are you seriously complaining about people killing you asap? Do you not realize your opponent probably hates you as much as you hate them BECAUSE you are wasting their time by not playing a legit deck to give them a fun challenge. Why should they be obligated to waste their time to let you complete your quest. I and many others would rather get the match over with ASAP so I can actually find a real opponent.
in other news, casual is this fucking shit. turn 4 ysera.

Evenlock and Mill Rogue in Wild HS,
Azami Control in EDH
Current Warframe Main: Mesa Prime
and Catrina. You can play big priest with Reno and still be annoying af.
Fun > Meta
Nice control warrior deck (not direct copy of anything on the web). Only real weakness is Mage. So what am I facing? Mage… mage… mage…
OK, time to change to another deck.
