I'm just wondering if there's any P2P/Premium Player using this method to stockpile dust to craft future expansion legendaries
Assuming that you have complete collection of legendaries on "Mean Street of Gadgetzan" expansion, when the nerf on raza/patches goes live, isn't it better to:
1. Disenchant patches/raza for full value
2. Open MSG pack until you get patches/raza
3. Repeat
With this method, you can save the fully refunded dust to craft legendaries for future expansion rather than buying new expansion packs and disenchant the unwanted legendaries for 400 dust
I'm actually concerned with this as well. I might buy the pre-order for the limited edition card back and get some rares + epics.
Imo, crafting few missing rares might not hurt my dust bank, but im worried that crafting epics will actually cost me a lot of dust and all my dust farming from MSG pack is actually negated by it.
Can anyone who actually use this method/ someone who is good at math give me insight if farming dust this way is actually cost efficient?
That is extremely inefficient, unless you have rivers of money to throw at the game, but in that case, it is still the same, since you are better off just buying those large numbers of packs for the new expansion rather than MSoG...
Also, may I ask what is a Peer-to-peer player in this game?
I'm actually refering to player who actually spend money on the game (Pay to play? Is it the correct term? XD). I think i should just say Premium Player LOL

Well I would call it a whale... A Pay to Play game is literally a game you have to buy before you can play it. Hearthstone is in all sense of the word a Free to Play game, and as with many of those you can get a boost by spending real money. Those who spend a considerable amount is considered a whale. I think those are the only once who might have a full collection of mean streets and the cash to burn on doing such a method. One should remember that with extremely bad luck they will go 40 packs between legendaries.

Unless you're still missing some of the rares\epics of MSOG and you want to have them (not likely if you have all the legendaries), it's probably not a good idea.
You essentially trade a random legendary from the new set for 1600 dust (which is not bad, but if you plan to collect them all you gain nothing), but you get 100 dust for any MSOG epic you pull instead of getting a random epic from the new set (loss of 300 dust).

Hmm that is a good point.
Assuming that im opening new expansion pack as compared to MSG pack:
1. Getting non-meta defining legendary = i lose 1200 dust ( since raza/patches will disenchant for full value, i will lose 1600 - 400 = 1200 dust)
2. Getting meta defining legendary = no difference (only difference is opening MSG will allow me to choose which legendary i want to have)
3. Getting non-meta defining epic = no difference (both disenchant for 100 dust)
4. Getting meta defining epic = save me 300 dust for each of it (MSG epic will disenchant for 100 and i need to top-up 300 dust to craft epic that i want)
Seems like the dust farming method is not really cost efficient...

This only makes sense if you already have all the msg legendaries.
