Ok, so I may be exaggerating a bit, but imho with all of these changes most of the current popular decks will take a hit, some will be hit harder than the others, but I think this will lead to a drastic change for the remaining 2 months. Maybe not within the meaning of forming entirely new decks, but at least within the one, that forgotten ones will finally make a comeback. The play experience will become a lot more fresh.
Before I continue, I am aware, that control warlock (more specifically cubelock) will become a dominant deck due to its powerful tools (in cubelock's case due to its cheesy character). Although warlock is my favourite class, I wouldn't have minded a change to the Lackey, tuning him down a bit. But if we forget that for just a moment, then we can see how many other decks, namely slow ones, can finally breath freely, as they won't feel strangled by anyone anymore:
Slower (control or mid-range) paladins decks can rise once more - I'm seeing the new weapon becoming popular. Mage? Don't know about big spell or grinder, but quest will return for sure. Hunter - now their start won't be that weak in comparison to the other aggro deck's. Priest - dunno about Satelite priest, but big priest is definitely making a comeback. Rogue - kingsbane rogue has a big potential, as it does so well against slow decks with full hand sizes. Druid - jade. Possibly big, but dunno about that. Warrior and Shaman - kinda not seeing them pop up at all. Let's hope they will be rejuvenated in the next expansion.
Some of the already exisitng ones, which will be nerfed in February, by no means necessary will be wiped from the face of the Earth. I think Raza can still find a way to survive, this time maybe with more value-granting cards (Elise), maybe more of a control deck and less of a combo one, but I won't cross out Highlander from the game. The Kele decks are taking a huge hit, maybe Rogue will just leave the Creepers? Zoo can just find a better Package than Patches? Paladins??? Token dudu still has the support from the Un'goro, theoretically they can find another package.
Dunno, those were my thoughts on the upcoming meta. Anyway what do you guys think it will look like? I hope everyone is excited about it as much as I am and let's refrain from the typical salty cubelock spams, I mean, I'm also aware of it, but let's be positive.
I wonder how necessary Cubelock will be. It was basically played so it could maybe beat Razakus. Now it can probably just heal out of range. I think the control list might be better now.

Also - Murloc Paladin is still crazy good.
About murloc paladin - I agree, I persolly like the stength of that deck a lot. Some people prefer their paladin decks to get wider, I like how murlocadin becomes taller.
Anyway 'bout cubelock - it's true, that control warlock is favoured in that MU, as it can build miles of big walls thus stopping every attempt of an aggression. I witnessed it from first hand, but cubelock can also become a more defensive than offensive. Currently I run a greedy (= fun) package featuring N'Zoth with no giants. So although the deck is really a slow one, I like how it has multiple win-conditions, each is based on your MU. So imho people will cut the giants, as they won't be necessary anymore. Priest won't be that problematic, warlock players won't feel threatened to run a proactive package in order to race the burning combo.
I'm kinda scared that tempo mage will become tier 1, and that would be extremely unfun as I believe that this deck is the most braindead of all decks at the moment (apart from tempo rogue winning because he had keleseth +2x shadowstep in his starting hand and soutshea captain on turn 3).
The meta will suck, no raza priest means warlock is king and it doesn't need to run cubes or doomguards or giants, it can go back to being a indestructible controlock, almost every fast deck was hit with patches and new worst card of the game of every card game ever Corridor Creeper so also jade druid can comeback in full strenght... but hey this is the meta you all wanted kids no priest and no patches/creeper, enjoy you controlock and jade druid being 80% of the meta, you finally got all the nerfs you wanted.

Not true
If Raza rotates out, it doesn't mean anything. First of all, there are a tons of decsk that counter Cubelock, but don't or barely see play because it's too bad against aggro or other meta decks (like Mill Rogue).
And secondly, we are getting a new meta with the Expansion anyway, so you can't decide from here on that the meta is gonna be crap.

You lack any common sense right? i'm saying the meta will suck hard until the rotation, of course when the rotation hits and a new set comes and 3 old sets are out the meta will change, but save this comment, the meta is gonna be the most unplayable garbage until April with the new expansion. just controlock, jade druid, some spiteful decks like priest that can survive without pirates and creepers, murloc pally and probably like quest mage if the meta slows down too much (which it could very possibly cause aggro without patches AND creeper is absolutely dead).

You have your opinion, I have mine. So don't be sad if I didn't like yours. I just don't agree with anything you said lol
Wow, Leute, as if I didn't say "let's be positive".
I mean, everyone has their own opinion, I completely understand your frustration regarding warlock and its different arch-types (control and cube), but why so negative? Looking at all the aforementioned meta predictions I have the feeling, that people said them with disgust, as if when naming them people wanted to throw up. Why are you constantly denying every single THING played in this expansion? I see people laso complaining about tempo mage, -//- rogue, Satellite priest, aggro pally, murloc pally...
And I can't, I just can't understand this community, how it is so pessimistic about everything. And tbh I started this thread just to start a healthy conversation, I may also add, a positive one - all of us sharing the expectations and the thrills of which decks/cards we can't wait to play. And what do I see? - bunch of salty kids, which took the opportunity to write something outside of the salty thread.
Look, I don't want to offend you, I am aware, that not everyone would be pleased with the upcoming changes - some are sad for losing powerful cards in their decks, others want to see a change for warlock as well - whatever the reason is, you are more than welcome to express your opinion, but for the love of God, can you quit your typical salty posts, which you also fill the other threads with, just for once?! Garbage meta? Do you know what a garbage meta means? For me this is the current play experience - monotonous, obvious and repetitive - before the nerfs occur; another example - way back in Gadgetzan, where you constantly saw Pirate Shaman/Warrior <- > Jade Dudu <-> Reno deck <-> Something else (except hunter, rarely a paladin). Others can name even more worse times.
Look, guys, I honestly believe we can expect more from the upcoming changes, but you have to open minded, you have to consider them as an opportunity to do, to play something different. And I for once am excited to see those decks, which some of you mentioned with loathing, because they didn't have a chance to see that much play once the meta settled. I even believe we will see even more forgotten decks and maybe an experiential period again.
Hmm, lack of creeper means decks might be able to get a bit greedier, but I don't see patches going anywhere, aggro decks will survive. Cubelocke is going to be amazing, but control warlock is definitely beatable with other control decks in my experience. I'm more worried about jade popping up again as a t1 deck, I'm guessing control warlock will need to run geist or cube combo to beat it.
Big spell mage could make a resurgence as well, it doesn't get nerfed at all, it's matchup against warlock doesn't feel that bad (cubelock is tough but control is pretty even), and its matchup against aggro is very draw dependent. It was held down by raza, specifically otk or near otk Gaza comboes. Velen/hp/mind blast/hero power is only 18 damage now, which makes otk way tougher for this deck. If warloc can counter jade, other slower decks might just make it work.
Since all people here say that Cubelock will be tier 1... i think cubelock might fall down to tier 2. At least in wild, because there were some decks that had quite the issue with the nerfed cards might shine again. Also: Raza is not as important in wild as it is in standard, simply because of reno.
Now other reno-decks might shine again, since all other reno-decks were simply non-existent in wild because of Reno-Priest. Still i'm quite disappointed that cubelock wasn't nerfed too.
Cubelock: Nothing to say here that hasn't been said. Tier 0-1 deck for standard right there by which all other decks must counter or die.
In the aggro field I think it's just going to get wrecked. Corridor Creeper gave most aggro decks a decent closer and Patches obviously hurts any pirate package. I think the only survivors will be paladin (living off the strength of Call to Arms) and Hunter (able to reach over taunt walls with hero power and Kill Command for those precious few points of damage).
Oddly I think control priest may very well be a thing, possibly relying on a combo Inner fire kill. Running double Psychic Screams may be the current remedy for clearing out a nasty Cubelock board while f'ing with their draw.
Rogue could still pull off some Tier 1 or 2 decks with the ever present miracle or tempo shenanigans.
Last dark horse contender for strong as hell tier 1 might be control mage. They sport the reach to tag a warlock over a taunt wall, double Polymorph could be big in this meta, and Ice block will always be a good way to squeeze out some turns for solutions. DK Jaina has won me quite a few close games by taking me from low life up to full while filling the board with nasty, freezy elementals.
Last thought, tech in weapon destruction and silence. They are going to be big.
I understand the critique towards the title, I also said it in the first sentence "Ok, so I may be exaggerating a bit, but imho with all of these changes most of the current popular decks will take a hit, [...] this will lead to a drastic change for the remaining 2 months".
And once again - because those changes will be so influential, the meta will be shacked a lot. At least so far, that we will see some decks becoming popular again, which felt a bit underwhelming before and thus ditched. All of this is more than enough for my standards to call it a "new meta", at least until the next expansion comes.
Smells like an uptick in the popularity of secret mages considering some of the most problematic decks for that archetype are taking a significant hit.

Controllock
Murloc paladin
Jade druid
Mixed mage archetypes
Random big priest/spiteful
Here is your meta.
Top deck is cheat
I think it will be really shitty meta. Warlock will ruin game. Nuff said.
One day this game will stop existing. I can't wait.
after jade druid its now warlock turn to be fun to play against ResidentSleeper
A meta full of exodia mages, now that Razakuz is gone

I think the peacekeeper did plenty wrong.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
