so after watching the hct i noticed that the casters always said that EU ist the hardest region to grind. Since I only played EU so far I wanted to know what you guys think.
Dunno about other regions cause I only play EU but during my climb to rank 5 this month I encoutered only top tier decks from rank 12 to 5. From rank 9 to 5 there were almost no misplays at all and people often played decks that countered my decks pretty well. So all in all not easy, but I should play on other servers to make a real comparison.
Pro players Who Play in two or more region always says EU is hardest
Like who? I'd be interested in knowing which players.
A lot of Pro players / grinders will say so . I could name a few , but it also makes sense.
It has nothing to do with eu smarter than na ,for example. The only reason is that in Europe more players are playing, wich means more ppl are at Legend ranks . This leads to a massive drop rate if pro players would go for a high ranking at the end of a season. ( I’m sure Gaara said that when he got rank 1 L. on asia he kept his rank for several days not playing, in europe he would have lost it over night.)

Have Blizzard ever produced any stats to quantify which region has most players? And to clarify, this isn't my trying to be awkward, this is my wanting to round out what I think is an interesting line of reasoning.
Even more interesting when considering how the European contingent fared this week in Amsterdam.
In terms of the wild Ladder, EU is definitely harder when comparing to NA. I assume the same applies to standard as well but I am unable to say for sure since I haven't really competed in standard past rank 5.

Judging from recent tournaments and a huge influx of APAC players making it to the top 8,4,2... i gotta say APAC region is getting alot more innovative with decks as well as competitive.
Like the other guy said, I think it has more to do with number of players than with average player skill. It's basically the same as comparing wild and standard ladder. My best rank in wild 15 legend, while in standard the best I ever got was 157. In wild, even when you're at top 100 legend you often face guys who are at rank 3 non legend in some games. While that also happens in standard when you're playing at 3 AM, it's way less common. There are still some very good players in the wild ladder of course(Sipiwi94, I'm looking at you), but competition is way more fierce in standard.
So basically, EU is harder for much the same reason, but it's not exactly a reason why our e-penis should increase. There's more of us, hence there's also more pro players.
N/A is definitely harder. I see WAY more mistakes in the other regions and more meta decks on N/A from rank 18 up than when I've tried the other regions.
I've played in both EU and NA, my main acc is in EU, and I've reached legend before with a meta deck. I then started an account in NA, completely new, with no cards at all. I've hitted rank 15 with only basic cards, a couple of commons and Bonemare, while I was facing top tier decks like Razakus and Jade Druid. While in EU you just can't past rank 20 without a good meta deck, or atleast a deck that contains a lot of non-basic cards.
So you could say NA is a lot easier in rank 20-15, don't know if it's als true for rank 15 and higher, but I'm pretty sure rank 5 in NA is just as hard as EU (cause it still makes the top 2-5% of your region)

Well, I don’t have perfect stats, only Blizzard could produce those ( but they probably never will ,only for arena) .
But I remember a thread after Ungoro was released. It was something like " Is everyone Legendary these days??" Because a lot of ppl came back after Shaman meta, also almost every class was viable ( Questrouge wasn’t super refined that it had to be nerfed) . So a unusual amount of players got Legend. It was remarkable so I remember a NA streamer being surprised that a guy in his friendslist was around 23k . In Europe some guy in my friendlist went also for the " lowest Legendary " and he was around 44k . This wasn’t even the very last day . I believe somewhere between 5 to7 days before the season ended.
And I wouldn’t value a tournament as a indicator how strong a region is. ( For example,if a Mexican guy would win the Poker WSOP,no one would think Mexico is the new Poker goto place)
EU no doubt. Least amount of casual inventive players, all just want numbers and the way to get to the numbers are meta decks, resulting in dumbfounded rock paper scissors gameplay.
Note hard as in hard for casual players that want to try something else.
If you are one of us guys playing stuff like buffadin in EU casual mode wanting a good laugh, good luck buddy i feel for you bro.

Based on arena stats by Blizzard, Asia is the hardest region to be an infinite arena player, then NA, then EU. No stats for China.
I assume constructed is in the same order as arena. But I don't have the money to test this theory on multiple regions :P

Question everything.
And today?
EU, since it has the smartest people, hence more real Nerds than NA. xD
I was always of the Oppinion that Asia SHOULD be the hardest, much like in WC3 or SC2, but those games are not really comparable I guess.
I do not know what is worse.. the topic or the necromancy?
