I feel your frustration, I share it as well. Unfortunately, we can't stop people from playing what they want to play, we just need to try to find the right decks to beat these meta decks. One advantage experimenters have is that we can adapt to the meta and try to play a deck that counters the decks we're facing. Can we do it fast enough? Probably not, we're facing a meta that's developed over millions of test games, and we don't have enough processing power to figure out how to design our own deck to beat it fast enough. Still, we can have fun.
More cards like curious glimmeroot would be appreciated though. I always feel a sense of accomplishment when an opposing priest guesses wrong, that happens probably more than half the time when I play my Aluneth/Medivh/Rummaging Kobold/Deck of wonders/Togwaggle deck. The deck is terrible, but its definitely the most fun I've had in hearthstone in a while. There's nothing quite like beating down a control warlock with dead mans hand, upgrading your aluneth, discounting your hand with leyline manipulator, drawing six cards from your opponents deck with togwaggle, then winning with a couple of late game fireballs.
I just don't get why most people here consider meta decks "unfun" .
For me personally winning is fun in itself . I don't need to do crazy combos or play with wacky cards to feel good . I just enjoy making my 1 mana 10 10 jades, killing people with savage roar on turn 4 , out armoring raza priest damage by just malfurion hp every turn and so on .
Why can't people enjoy simple but effective mechanics ? Someone please answer as I am genuinely curious to see what other people think about the game .
You are the quintessential fanboy who Brode focusses on. The guy that is remodeled to crave for an easy winfix, don't mind how he wins as long as it is fast. The burger-boy who doesn't like quality slow food. The largest faction within the HS-community. Your kind is so numerous that it is the sole reason why the meta, is unbalanced, not diverse and aggressive. Thumbs up for Brode who successfully sells a lot of packs to the ********.
You must be a very intelligent person. Still you have fun with mindless, skilless archetypes. It puzzles me, it really does: how can an intelligent being have 'fun' playing mindlessness? That you feel fun in being dumb down and ********. I just can't understand that. Probably it goes beyond my intelligence. Don't come with: it is just a game. You are what you play as much as you are what you eat.
You know, card design by Brode and consort is in a certain sense a crime against humanity. How so? Well if you look at crimes against humanity what is paramount is taking away the (intellectual) dignity of the victims. Dehumanizing them. Making them objects, things that you use, can dispose of. Well Brode prints cards that results in skilless archetypes that gives you the rush of an easy winfix... and you will as a drug addict love him for that. That rush dehumanizes you as it clearly is below the abilities of your intelligence; as such below your dignity.
Dignity means that you as a human being can aspire in a accordance to your abilities in the fullest sense of the word. Willfully letting people take away that dignity makes you a subhuman. Only those who have no self-respect and self-worth will let that happen.
Of course crimes against humanity is punishable by international law. Being likewise dehumanized, taken away self-respect by Brode and consort is not. In the end it is all about ethics. It is your own choice, but you should really reconsider.
That brings me to a conclusion to my response to you mr. Robert_fanR. Why do you think Brode himself has so much fun? His silly faces, ridiculous laughs, raps, acting like a fool. He is celebrating the successful endeavor of dumbing you down, that you buy his packs, play his game, making you an easy winfix addict. And how do you think he looks upon you? Do you think he considers you with respect? How do you think we look upon people who willfully let themselves be dumbed down? With no respect sir. Brode looks at you with the greatest contempt while he's laughing his ass off as he successfully made you an addict to mindlessness, and notably let you buy his packs for that. What a succes! I leave you at that.
Good day sir.
Not sure if troll .
But because I've heard this "no skill" argument a bilion times let me ask you this :
What exactly is it that you call "skill" ?
In my book, "having skill" means winning more than other people over a meaningful sample size.
How do you win more than other people ? Well, the most important thing is actually playing a good deck. How well you play them is of course a factor, just not as important as the actual deck itself .
Got a question for you guys, bit off topic but it seems that i can't make a post by phone...I too like 2 make own strange decks, and the latest one has kel'thuzad in it. Only when my minions die on the opponents turn they aren't resurrected and the card still says every round ressurect..Did i miss a nerf of something?
Greetz
Odd. Is KT killed along with them? Because he needs to be alive a thte end of the turn as well.
Otherwise, yeah, if KT is alive and the minions died he should res them no matter who's turn it is.
Don' tsuppose you have a HSreplay of it because I'd really like to see WTF happened there.
Speak for yourself. I had a shaman quest to play 30 shaman cards. I made a deck and just clicked on every thing that was 3 mana or less. Won a game.... Laughed.
Really though i suggest take your rank as high as you can or want for the season then experiment in ranked. One I hit 5 I stop really worrying about it unless I'm on a hot streak and just play around a bit, or in this seasons case I hit 6 then started fucking around and am backto 9...oops. Word to the wise... Keleseth Zoo copulated with Doomgaurd, Spiritsinger, Cube combo in my collection. Their baby is "special"
To say that u're at least a pro 50 legend player man, otherwise u just talk bullshit now. Maybe some of the players don't know how to work their netdecks but still if u doesn't have a good meta deck or something to beat one of those netddecks u shouldn't say things like that. Perhaps u're one of those tired rank 10 or worse to say this. STop man, do ur own experiment, get ur legend+++++ and come back here to say this

just switch to wild.. add 1-2 wild card if you want to fell like wild player and try it... yesterday i was laddering in wild... i met 1 cubelock and 0 razzakus priests from r20 to r9 .. maybe my luck but it was so good to play agains variety of decks...
about non ranked matches in wild there i laways met memes like malygos decks, otk wannable decks etc, personaly i am playing nzoth control hunter
Here is a list of my last 7 opponents Voidlord Warlock (net decked) - how did you know this was a netdeck? Did he share his decklist? Face hunter (net decked) - how did you know this was a netdeck? Did he share his decklist? Secret Mage Big Priest Secret Mage (net decked) - how did you know this was a netdeck? Did he share his decklist? Aggro paladin (net decked) - how did you know this was a netdeck? Did he share his decklist?
Because it's easy to dismiss "deck that beat you" as "just another netdeck". But for you to know that it was one would mean he had to at least have said it was - otherwise it was simply a deck that used a common set of cards.

Honestly I think the key point is that 'netdeck' is a misuse o fa term to explain the real issue.
"simply a deck that used a common set of cards"is the real problem people have. "Netdeck" is just the term adopted poorly to explain it. Sort of like how "It's cold" really isn't accurate since you really don't feel temperature but instead the change in temperature and thus the change from your temperature to the current temperature is"SHUT THE #(*)$ UP AND TURN UP THE #*)$*#( HEAT!"
People don't like seeing 'a common set of cards'. Simply put. When you realize that's what they mean when they say "stale meta" or "lack of variety" or "netdeck" everything makes a #()$#)( more sense. Suddenly all of those varied aggro decks turn into "Patches decks". All of the warlock decks turn into "Cube decks" or "Slow Demon Decks" and most priest decks turn into "Raza decks". If the cards you remmber most show up in the same decks over and over, it dosn't matter what the deck did.
Now i play my 10k dust tempo rogue in casual. Feels good man
i play my 15k dust cubelock in wild casual. no voidlords, but lots of other fun stuff like sneeds, sylvanas and cairne for ultimate nzoth as well as guldan deathknight lol. may not be the best vs aggro, but my god is it fun to play a million big guys
this is why they need to have a "report" feature in game. You should be able to report people playing tier 1 decks in casual mode, because they ruin the game for new players.
Not even getting into 'what constitutes tier 1' (your 4k dust suggestion is laughable), can you kindly explain how said 'new player' has such a good MMR that they face these decks? When I play my F2P account with a budget mid hunter I get matched against morons who do Arcane Missiles to face on turn 1. Look at your MMR and your need to win frequently before you complain about casual.
Well like I said, I never go in casual mode unless im doing a quest and want to try doing it in 1 game whilst using a terrible deck, but when I do, I face the same decks I would've in ranked and it's dumb, so Idk anything about how the MMR works. What constitutes tier 1? Stuff like raza priest, cube lock, and midranged rogue, as well as jade druid. How would they enforce it? Easy, in games like heroes of the storm and starcraft, you can click a players' profile and go to "report" and there's a list of things to pick like "intentionally dying". In hearthstone, you'd have options like "intentionally waiting to make moves at the end of the turn every turn" (which is another huge problem with the game), or for casual mode "playing tournament quality decks". It wouldn't matter what the deck was. If a person is playing what other players percieve as being a high tier "easy gold farming- deck", new players with no money will choose to report them, and if lets say, 10-15 people do that, the netdecker would be blocked from playing casual mode for a week or so. The mode is literally supposed to be an alternative to ladder play for struggling new players or players who have a lack of "competitive" cards, so you have no business netdecking there and griefing people. It's like if you camped starting zones repeatedly in WoW. It's an asshole thing to do.
"(your 4k dust suggestion is laughable). Dude, you can't just say that without giving a reason...

Both Reno and Aggro are cancer!

Yes I experiment. it's what got me to legend.
