After my first time ever investing money into this game by prepurchasing the last expansion, i felt nothing but disappointment. Here is why, please don't turn this thread into a "oh your saulty" nonsense, i am curious what other people think about what i am about to say, Thanks. So i started playing this game in the closed beta when my brother got me a key, i was super happy about it considering that i have played warcraft games since i was 7 years old. And dont get me wrong, Hearthstone is an AMAZING game with great art work, animations, sound, and good game-play, i LOVED this game when it came out.
First time playing the game:
When i first started playing the game i was free to play player, i took priest because i liked priest, and soon discovered the Injured Blademaster and Auchenai Soulpriest + Circle of Healing combo, and i just had fun with it, without any guide's or anything i made it with my own deck to rank 12, and i was so happy about it. The next few expansions had their major problems of unbalanced cards that never got nerfed, and yea, that's bad. Looking at you Dr. Boom and a few others, but it never killed the fun for me. It is important to note that i was still a fully f2p player, and i always had enough card's because i was good in arena. So everything was fine. Not fine, better then fine, things were amazing, LoE, TGT and old gods were excellent expansions that i enjoyed so much.
Downfall
And then it started, the down fall of hearthstone for me personally. Karazhan started the process of ruining arena fun for me. MSG was a horrible expansion that added jades and patches. but it was "OK" still. Hall of fame arrived, removing a lot of beloved cards from standard. so they removed around 4 of my most beloved card's from the standard pool of card's, they did that to make it easier for them to design card's later, it wasn't for us, it was just for them... So its year 2017, and Hall of fame happened, and i was okay with it at the time. So what happened in 2017?
2017, the year of the death of the f2p model.
Well, arena was boring and bad, and ladder was full of jades, patches and in general not fun decks. So i was waiting for the expansions of 2017, and o boy o boy there were 3, increasing the cost of the game BIGTIME, and not just that, but the geniuses at blizzard hq came up with a briliant idea, "HEY, said a greedy son of a bitch, lets make double the class legendary's and with that, seal the fate of the f2p players". Well, being a f2p player, it didn't float well with me. so 2017 was the year of classic cards being dumped to wild, and others just got nerfed and most importantly the cost of playing hearthstone sky rocketed. So i was put into the position where i HAD to give blizzard a METRIC SHIT TON OF MONEY, to gain access to card's I used to have by just playing arena alot. KFT came out and i was SOOO happy, i was waiting for the lich king to have his expansion since TGT, and then the expansion ended up being boring, uninspired and pricy, KnC once again sounded great, but ended up being boring, uninspired and pricy aswell, and the LEGENDARY weapons? ended up being garbage. After frozen throne i knew i HAD to buy packs in KnC if i wanted to catch up, and i did, and it felt like shit honestly. We have come to a point were the card design itself has become worse then ever, the game is just WORSE now, at least for me.
Final notes:
the hearthstone team is inactive, unresponsive, and not willing to do nerf's buff's or to add cards midway true. Leaving overpowered cards in the game. They treat us like idiots, saying extra deck slots would confuse us. Creativity in game design is horrible. (talking gameplay wise). So yea, I am done with hearthstone now. Thank you hearthpwn for being an amazing source of hearthstone information for me for so long your awesome :).PS. Sorry for such a long post, never men't to write so much, but looking back, Hearthstone was a different experience up until old gods where it truly peaked at being amazing, down hill ever since. Those are my taught's, please let me know what you guys think.
O and i almost forgot, team 9 is RETARDEDLY bad at nerfing cards. and what they did to Fiery War Axe is a tragedy, honestly FUCK THEM for that. Fucking idiots dont know how to balance a card so they just toss it into a garbage bin. oke i am done now, bye. (excuse the salt at the end :))
Split it up into paragraphs. Huge walls of text scare people off.
Blizzard made a terrible decision of not really wanting to be active in balancing the game. They want people to fully enjoy the game with cards they provide. That's why they decided not to balance so much, since one player may craft a good legendary that will be nerfed, while dusting other one that will be buffed. Terrible idea to be honest.
Creativity in game design is horrible? I'm sorry, but that is not true. It is not horrible, but rather it's overshadowed by overpowered cards and decks. Nobody really wants to experiment, since it is already known you won't do well. Except for those who do not care about ranks, they experiment, I would even say a lot.

"This isn't a salt post." Uhhh huuuuh. Yeah, OK buddy.
HAHA yea that was a after tought that i ended up including in the post, shoulden't have, but its a big reason why i stoped playing the game, just adding 1 mana cost to a classic card to balance it? As lazy as it gets.
Ha ha ha .. people doesnt know for wild, and that there u have bunch of consistent decks for 2-3k dust.. Standard is boring asf, when i wanted to leave game i started playing in wild and stayed there. Wild is way funnier, every game another deck, u never know what will be pulled out

Wild mode is good for different people, it doesn't appeal to me, and many other's. Espacilly since i play this game since day one, i want good change and wild mode is not that for me.
Would like to participate, but could really use a TL:DR. I mean it's a new season and I got little time for boards since I need to ladder up. Additionally, as site feedback, they should probably make a 'quitting the game' sub-forum and as a bonus make posts ineligible for the front page because nobody really cares. Sorry. Also, perhaps make the salt thread no longer pop up on the front page, or better yet tell people to grow up and delete the stupid thing - out with the old, ya know?

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
You have every right to complain about the game, but this kind of post lose all meaning if you do not propose better ideas.
I love the state of the game right now but if I do not like the game I would play another games or I would propose solutions. If you do things that disgusting you it is better to not do it.
They are creating terrible unfun standard metas. It's because everything revolves around a few overpowered cards/combos. I love my wild egg deathrattle hunter. Only deck I play seriously.
A lot of crying and wheeping. And proving arguments with a lot of angry words like "fuck". Yeap, that makes it all true.
In seriousness, this post is 95% untrue, but it's 1st of January and I'm too lazy to get in-depth with each point. Don't wanna play the game - leave. But you should cry somewhere else, if you want people to believe you.
Wild is not so much different. I played only there since the last 3 seasons and there you can see high priest, little big priest, some face hunt and tempo rogue, not much murloc pala, mostly aggro pala and at the top of the a food chain cube locks and i forgot sometimes aggro mage. if you talk about between rank 20 and 15 where "players don't know what they are doing"... yea probably, but not now in the start of this season may be next week ;)
Fiery War Axe nerf was a long time coming. It's still played after nerf, but before it was an auto include in literally every single warrior deck you could think of.
I also think it's weird that you are saying it's the most expensive expansion because there are double the class legendaries but you still also complain that all the legendary weapons are bad (which they aren't, some are quite good and others are meme-tastic). I found this expansion to be rather cheap to get the cards I want. I'm pretty much set for the cards I thought were needed to craft, including my fun cards that I know aren't meta. If you've been playing a long time it's easy to pool gold and dust before an expansion.
My personal experience has been one of the most diverse meta's in years without one deck seeming rampant like it was the past few expansions. I can climb the ladder well with some creative non-net decks where in past seasons I hit a wall after a certain point. I think part of your issue is fatigue from the game. I took about a year break after the release of Grand Tournament and came back really enjoying myself. Your not having fun, go ahead and quit. Try picking it back up again in a few months and see how you feel.

Yep, that is the big problem right now.

I just wanna ask you, why dont you play wild then? You have your favourite cards there
I was expecting some new year resolution to be honest.
All I can say is that you need to learn how to express you ideas in a more reader friendly way.
