I play currently a pure aggro pally, and honestly I don't think there is an aggro problem to solve, actually they should nerf the Cube IMHO (hehe).
I am an average F2P, hovering round rank 11. Most of the games I win against control decks (priests and locks) go well after turn 10 so the rule about playtime will not help. Of course I make many mistakes, and that does not help to close game faster than turn 7, however, what's the % of players above rank 5? Below 15 you have a lot of aggro, yes, but how boring fighting your way to rank 10th when you've been doing that for 4 years.... And why should I play a game where I am obliged to spend money to make expensive control decks, which I generally can afford only 1 month before each new expansion? And so I shard everything just to shard again my legendaries for the cheap blues on the next expansions...just to try and play them for a while...
And why I should wait 15 minutes to play ranked? Just because people having more money than me to spend in this game and love staring at a screen at level 19 do not have to make that extra effort to tech their deck with a couple of defile, dragon potion etc? Also, in that case, control decks would have to wait 15 minutes too...or make the game last longer on purpose in order not to wait...meta comes and goes, and now there is only one aggro deck, aggro pally with no Tirion, no silence no ooze. And that deck performs quite well, but there are so many control decks that it is difficult to win 3 games in a row. So yes, I have an amazing 56,3% win rate, unfortunately since they are not in a row I'm stuck at lvl 12/11...
Here are my stats in the past 3 days, EU server, if anyone is interested in talking about actual % and checking if your solutions would really solve the problem...or just generate more expensive, control decks and have F2P run away from HS.
Aggro a problem? No. Even tempo decks aren't a problem. There are tools that can stop these decks in their tracks.
I love playing against those decks and finally stabilizing with little health, and making a ridiculous comeback.
Feels good knowing they thought they had an easy win, and I just wasted the time they thought they didn' have to put in for a match. Yeah they may get the perfect hand to my worst hand, but when the top deck favors me, It really feels good.
Lol Aggro isn't a problem, its a type of deck, which will exist no matter what. You can make the argument that "Buhhhh Control/combo is no fun to play against it needs to be nerffffffttttt" it gets nothing done, some people enjoy to play aggro some enjoy to play control/combo shut up and deal with it.
The People saying that you should either gain more from playing slower decks or having a timer for ranked games are completely stupid. This panders to one side of a player base which is dumb and anti progressive for the game. If a deck is too over powered it will get a nerf.
You don't get to face the opponent you would choose in a PvP game. Simple as that. Don't like it? There's always Super Mario Brothers or Final Fantasy
What I am getting at is, be it aggro, control, there will always be some deck that is considered 'unfun' by some players. I dislike playing against mage. Does everyone? Should they get rid of mage? What about people who enjoy playing mage?
I don't think i would want a Hearthstone universe where every game goes to turn 20 and takes 30 minutes...
The game used to be that way years ago. I preferred it, personally.
It is fun if you actually have control decks for each class that are not 'perfectly aligned' to each other in power, but are at least in the same ball park. Ever tried creating a non-miracle style rogue control deck, and then also have it compete against either control priest or control lock? Yeah, it isn't pretty. Try doing the same for a control oriented paladin build. It isn't fun playing a hopeless uphill battle that takes 20+ minutes versus a control deck that has access to way more answers and value generating machines than what your favorite HS class might even have access to (even in wild). That is why I for the most part stopped playing the 20-30 minute slogest attrition games that don't favor the classes I play & just punish control players with 20-30 minute games versus OTK decks that usually can't stop. It is very satisfying punishing over buffed and greedy classes in HS.

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
Not sure what game you're playing but the Hearthstone I play, aggro has been a tiny minority for years.
