There is absolutely no problem with aggro decks, nor with any other decks. The game is perfectly fine just the way it is.
The real problem in my opinion are the people that are unhappy with the game for whatever reason and try to change it as if they are in charge of Hearthstone. They don't think that maybe Blizzard is very happy with the game just the way it is. Nope. If they're unhappy, then everyone should be unhappy.
Kinda sad but i'm sure one day they'll grow up and realize that they are more important than this game and should focus on improving themselves and not the game.
Aggro exists because big priest, razakus or exodia exist. Which one do you play?
lol no it doesn't. If these decks didn't exist, do you really think aggro would go away?
Aggro exists because it's easy, cheap, fast games, and gets wins.
Aggro now has cards that negate one of traditional downsides, which is losing card advantage. Normally when you play out a bunch of cheap minions, you give up having cards in hand in the mid game for hopefully a board your opponent can't deal with. Well, in addition to Divine Favor, Paladin can now put three minions on board with just a single card. No penalty in card disadvantage anymore.
What Control then needs is something on equal ground. Something that summons a minion every time you draw a card.
In all fairness control has been out pacing aggro for awhile now, control keeps gaining more removal, healing and taunts while aggro only gains power creep on new minions while getting old minions nerfed - I mean Call to Arms only seems OP until you realize Warlock has Hellfire AND Defile now. In the aggro vs control arms race, control always come out on top until in the end until the next set rotation.
By 'control' you mean exclusively Control Warlock. So if I wanna play aggro, congrats here's like fifty choices. If I wanna play control, fuck you, spend a million dust and play cubelock, your ONE AND ONLY choice.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
Not that it's hard to play against. Because of that the majority play quick decks. It's so boring facing quick deck, after quick deck, after quick deck, after quick deck.
I'm so tired of playing against decks that either win or lose before turn 10. HS has always been like this, which is natural since gaining ranks is quicker that way.
What can Blizzard do to encourage slower decks? I'm thinking stuff like increased rewards. I have some ideas; If a game goes on longer than 10 turns, a win automatically puts you on a bonus streak, you get bonus gold (like 500%), and accelerated quest progress.
Do you have any other ideas to encourage people to play other decks than aggro and tempo?
Encourage slower decks? Hm. Maybe print things like Voidlord.
Play Jade Druid with double branching paths, it just reks pala decks. And beside paladin there is no other real aggro deck.
if I see a lot of jades will definitely start to add skulking geist again. I have barely gotten any use for him as only got the card recently and jade isn't as big now.
besides a good warlock deck can wreck jade I have found. it's a good match up though, but by the time those big tokes come out it's usually too late.
I guess it depends on RNG, but I've found that if you only play voidlords as demons as a base for a control deck, then use lackeys to cheat them out, there isn't much anyone can do. yeah they can silence you, but it just keeps coming. If you get DK and N'zoth when you need them, and make sure to have something like corridor creepers or mountain giants/drakes in the handlock version, you can stall out anything.
I think the best thing to counter this would be a priest specially built with silences to be able to get rid of all possible void lords. I know they have access to a 5/5 body silence as well.
Still a fast enough paladin, with enough tech and RNG luck can probably get through as well.
Still learning paladin at the moment though, so I can't just innovate on the spot like I can with warlock, a lot of trial and error needed to know what makes the synergy kick first.
Talking of paladins, have you tried using crystal lions in a sort of dude/buff deck or something? I really like that card and I am tempted to try and use it this evening. just think I need to get some more of the handbuff cards though so need to grind out some G for packs first.
As long as blizzard will help these nobrain players, there is nothing to do ! :(
The only nobrain players are the ones who think aggro can be removed from the game.
There will always be some decks that are faster than others. Remove the fastest deck, and there's still a fastest deck in the ones remaining, and people will still complain about that one if their deck is bad against fast decks.

One thing that would "fix" it somewhat would just simply to increase starting HP to 40. With an extra turn or two, provided by the extra HP, other decks could have a better chance to stabilize against the early rush.
Personally, I don't mind aggro ... I like to play the style myself, and I don't mind playing against it. But, like others have said, would like to be able to play games that last beyond T6. So many of the "fun" combos and abilities don't come into play until the later turns.

The existence of aggro is not a problem, it's power is. Blizz should stop printing busted cheap cards, or cards that synergize with busted cheap cards.
Do you really want full control meta? with aggro it's about did they draw keleseth/pirates on curve or not, about control vs control will be who's draw raza/dks/demons/antonidas and etc.The difference will be in wasted 30 min per match . Everyone was bitching about priest in kft,now it's even more oppressive ,same as cubelock. Control mirrors are often not about your decisions, but again about draw ,entertainment is on about same level as fuck of flies.
Honestly in the current meta I'm seeing fewer aggro decks then ever before. Mostly seeing control and aggressive mid range.
As for a greater reward I really think playing the deck you want is most important. If you feel compelled to play aggro because you want to stuff as many games in an hour as possible that's on you.
At the risk of repeating everyone here, there's literally no problem with it. Jade Druid and Cubelock have very good win rates against Aggro Paladin (the only aggro deck out there).
The problem is that people seem to think Aggro Paladin is the same as Pirate Warrior, which - in its heyday - had very unreasonably good plays like "turn 1 coin/Fiery War Axe, turn 2 Bloodsail Raider and Patches." That gave aggro a very powerful board clearing tool on turn 1 and a very strong board on turn 2, and was obviously totally broken. But that's nothing like today's aggro decks.

I still keep Geist in my Control Lock deck. I may not see a lot of Jades ... but damn I hate to lose a game where I know i would have won if had just had the card in the deck. I would rather have it and not need it, than need it and not have it. Almost all matches against Jade come don to fatigue, so without it, its a tough win.
Control Lock vs. Paladin is just a matter of getting one of several cards early on, and it's so easy it's not funny. As long as you don't get terrible RNG, they don't stand a chance. As long as you get defile or Hellfire, it's pretty much game over for them.
And last night I had the play 50 Paladin card quest, so I just tossed together a deck that was nothing but Silver Hand everything ... and the damn thing went 5-0 in casual, and 3-2 in ranked. Its actually pretty crazy just how fast that deck can snowball against anything that doesn't have early AOE. If you get a Level Up played on a wide board, it's lights out.

nice. reckon I'm going to have to try and build some silver hand/buff deck then.
I do need to get a few cheap buff spells to make it work though.
did you use the equality combo in it? i know there is combo that uses pyromcancer and stuff as possible removal.
really new to paladin decks though dude so I can only vaguely remember this stuff being used against me at some point. ha ha.
I need to meet more paladin players to learn from. I invested dust into the class so determined to get the most from it. not just going to play the netdecks.
you think valan'yr and tarim might have a p;lace in that deck? (i know tarim is more about buffing basic minions, so won't really have much p;lace where they are already buffed though, so was a little unsure) I reckon val'anyr will be good though if you put in good targets for them. saronite chaingang and dopplegangster seem pretty decent, especially with umbra, too. I was thinking maybe even putting taldaram in if the deck could do without the 3 drops, probably not doable though. I know cubes work in paladin decks though as I've seen it done.
if you can upload what you were playing with it would be cool, no matter how basic it is, all info is good.

I wouldn't say Aggro Paladin is the only aggro deck out there. It's the FOTM deck, but I still see plenty of aggro druid. Even though Pirate Warrior added the Spiteful Summoner's, it still has the ability at least to start out as aggro with an early burst of pirates. And of course, there is always Hunter. The line between aggro and mid-range is pretty blurred these days, to the point that I just look at anything with a "just go face" playstyle as aggro.

I just want my wins fast, not to spend 24/7 playing .

Stop playing T1 control decks? We don't all want to play Priest, and it's a waste of time to play any other control deck.
