Pretty much this. It is a lot like forum with President Trump supporters versus liberals, except here it is about a card game based on World of Warcraft. Same type of people, same kinda extreme reactions, no real stakes to speak of. Just endless tribalism, neatly divided into 9 groups. Pick a class, any class, and defend it to the death.
Basically correct. But please, can we never bring politics near Hearthstone again? Pretty please?!

brainless? you have clearly never played razakus priest. in all current tier 1 decks, aggro paly, big priest, cubeluck, control lock, razakus priest is the hardest one to play. i think almost all the decks requires thinking but not at rank 15 dude. play from 5-legend, alot of decisions need to be made even if you play aggro decks, every aggro vs aggro requires nice trades(considering both players have a decent hand).
and may i ask what is not brainless? cuz i'm sure turn 4 call to arms, or killing your possesed lacky to get a voidlord doesn't require thinking eighter.
hearthstone isn't a chess but it doesn't mean it is brainless. it requires some thinking with almost all decks, some decks requires more thinking, mostly old control decks (non of them exist now).
What is with the HS community constantly displaying this us vs. them mentality? If you play priest you are a brain dead monster. If you never played patron warrior you don't know how it is to pilot a difficult deck. If you don't make your own decks you are a pathetic little loser. If you make your own you are superior, unless you are losing to a specific class then either you built it wrong or again that whole class needs a nerf. Spend money on the game? You are dumb and responsible for making the game worse. F2P you are dedicated and have more reasons to complain. Can't we all just see it is a game? If you aren't having fun or enjoying it don't spend your money on it or don't play. Why are all these people spending their time on a forum like this that hosts decks if they never netdeck or have positive experiences with the game? Rant ended.
This is the single best post I've read on these forums. Someone give this man post of the year. Kudos!
There is no specific "tech" for Priests because they have answers for everything. It's easy to tech against Pirates, just add Crawler. What do you do about 10 board clears and 17 Obsidian Statues? This whole "just tech against X class" doesn't work when, as you people have been saying, that class has 3-4 viable archetypes on ladder right now, and no tech will be effective for all of them.
I understand the OP's frustration, Priest is the single most annoying class to play against, and it's because they simply deny the opponent of doing anything. Is it fine for some peoples' play style? Absolutely. Is it fun for the opponent? Never, and people shouldn't have a hard time understanding that fact. It's never fun to drop a Tirion and have it Entombed. Never fun to see 2x Obsidian Statues by turn 4. Never fun to see the whole board you worked to develop either immediately destroyed or shuffled away. Furthermore, to my original point, there is no tech for that.

This. Priest will be left with a weak Dragon deck. And that's about it. If you can allow Priest a few more months in the sun then all your dreams will be answered as Priest drops to trash tier.

I don’t think that’s true. Raza priest has a high skill CEILING, but it’s not hard to get a 50% winrate with it even if you’re terrible and have no idea what you’re doing. The deck is already strong even in the hands of a bad player. But it is completely busted in the hands of a really skilled player.
I play a lot of wild and cannot even begin to explain how many games I’ve lost against priests who made obvious mistakes on nearly every single turn. The deck has a huge margin for error due to having such a wealth of removal and survival tools.

tbh I don't like this type of balancing I think blizzard shouldn't give meme cards to shaman while giving powerful tools to priest this expansion (well it already happened but still)
sadly it seems like priest will rule wild for a very long time until they finally nerf raza or anduin :/.
they gave shaman a lot of value options that can't compete with razakus or jade and now also with control warlock.
that's true, u can have better 50% if you are not a good player (but not since rank 5, u r going to be punished there for your mistakes), but you can have that with almost any deck. the op was saying that deck is brainless, which in compare to other meta decks we have right now i think this deck requires more thinking.
I think the most common thing I see people who complain about the state of the game point to is that every other deck besides the one they apparently play is "brainless". Unfortunately, by marginalizing the intelligence of your opponent and believing that you are superior all the time is the thing that prevents you from becoming a better player and enjoying the game more. Learn from your losses, analyze your games so that you can improve your approach in certain matches, and figure out what cards you can use to give you an advantage or shore up a weakness. If you are unwilling to change your deck list because it would deprive you of enjoyment, then I suggest learning to be OK with not achieving the highest competitive ranks of Hearthstone.
There will always be some games where there was very little to nothing you could have done to change the outcome of the game, however, many games come down to you making one choice over another. Even the best netdecked list isn't able to overcome bad resource management, poor reads of the board state, or the failure to anticipate future turns. I suggest watching some professional streamers you enjoy and while they are playing the game, think about what choices you would make in their shoes. See what they choose to do and what the outcome is in comparison to what your choice would have been. This is a very good way to improve your decision making and learn where your weaknesses as a player lie. That's not the only way to improve, but again, if you aren't willing to put in the time to improve (and we can all improve), rather than spend time complaining on the internet and marginalizing others, then you shouldn't expect results.
The majority of people act as if they are not annoyed by it and referencing the salt thread like little kids over and over again. Truth is, most of those people are probably in between ranks 15-10 punching their face in when they get matched up against the same deck. Maybe even rank 22. Noobs everywhere pretending behind their little keyboards.
Me personally? I'm not really annoyed, but not because the deck is ''fine''. It's because there's always gonna be something broken or unbalanced and over time you learn to live with it. That's it. Simple as that.
I do not think priest should get nerfed, they are annoying, but so is cube lock and aggro paladin, we are in a dog eats dog meta where there is no clear number one, but a bunch of decks that are strong versus another top tier deck and weaker versus another.
