eh i look at it like this - instead of paying for a 60$ new game every week or two like i used to now I spend 100$-150$ every few months when an xpac releases. Still save money, saves me a few nights out or on another game that costs more $
I have not spent a cent on this game, and sure, I can't build any top tier decks according to tempostorm, but I can build decent decks. Getting legend is not a matter of being able to make the tier one decks, but being able to play well with whatever deck you can make. And having fun is not a matter of getting legend or even having a decent win-rate. The community around Hearthstone is as unaware of that as the community around DOTA is full of toxic, aggressive, teenage males. If you have the cards to make something fun, try it, if not, why the heck did you spend 120 dollars if you don't know how to have fun, because you are guaranteed the dust needed to make something fun with that many packs. Hearthstone is an F2P game, meaning that the part you pay for is super expensive. It is built so people can play without paying, but with incentives for certain people, often referred to as whales, to pay out more than enough that the game makes, on average, more per person than full price games. You should try playing the game without spending money, it removes the part where you feel bad about spending money and not having a lot of benefits.

I don't even remember the last time I spent real money on Hearthstone. It's not worth the "value" you get, when other games have a far better model.
