At least, that's how it appears to be. The damage output is crazy and short of having a good early game AoE (like Priest or similar), it seems very difficult to stay alive long ebnough to turn the tide as one of the more no-heal classes such as Hunter, Mage, Rogue etc. (Maybe Warrior and Priest have a better time dealing with it?)
In any case, it "feels" like everyone and their mum suddenly seem to be playing this deck. I'm guessing some streamer has played it recently and everyone's jumping on the bandwagon. In my last dozen games, I've come up against maybe 8 or 9 paladins. And it's frustrated me, so I'm taking a break... :-/
It seems that at the moment, every deck I am playing I appear to be meeting a direct counter to it (*shakes fist at RnG*) On that note, though, as much as I am generally disliking this expansion so far (it seems to be even more boring aggro decks than the Quest Rogue & Pirates expansion!), I do wonder if there is a more rock-paper-scissors feel at present while people try and adjust to the meta. Even if that RPS consists of Aggro-Aggroer-Aggroest... lol
EDIT: Turns out I'm not paranoid after all. :-) (Attached image)
UPDATE - I decided to make my own version of this deck and see if I could make it even more terrifying than it already is. It may be a fairly small sample size (compared to the meta sites), but a 77% win rate in almost 40 games so far isn't too bad. :-P As good as it is though, it still doesn't stand a chance against the Warlock God-deck. Fortunately I have managed to avoid them with this deck for the most part (though I seem to face them all the time with my control decks).
I am kinda confused ... whats paladin aggro? Might just be me avoiding it somehow.
Essentially, it's a "weenie" paladin deck. Play loads of small 1/2 cost minions and lots of divine shields to keep them alive. It's a spam-and-ram deck.
The fact that Aggro Paladin is popular right now is because it's aggro can defeat Jade Druids and Razakus Priest, while it can beat Tempo Rogue (if they don't get god draws).
A midrange deck will arise, able to contest the early game and push out in the late game. Whatever this list is, it'll counter Aggro Paladin.
And when that deck does come to shine, Razakus and Jades will return to defeat it senseless.
Rock. Paper. Scissors.
You've just caught the game when Rock was the only one who existed (Razakus and Jruids) and now we've invented paper (Aggro Paladin and other various aggro decks). Once we find our Scissors, the game will be in one of its healthiest metas yet.
According to the stats from hsreplay it does struggle against Aggro Druid (40% WR) and Prince Warlock (42%) so you are right. But against all others... 59% WR on average including those 2 I mentioned :D
Honestly, i would rather say that the deck reminds me of zoo.
The deck aren't really centered against hitting your opponent's face as fast and as hard as possible early on. It's way more the type of deck like zoo, that control the board, until they have enough tempo to end the game in a turn or two.
The deck also requires a lot more of decision making, as you have to find the exact time where you want to switch from controlling the board, to going face instead. If you do it too early, you end up not having enough stuff to push back with, if you however do it too late, your tempo might be ruinted by board clears, large taunts, or large amounts of health gain.

I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
It's a fun deck. It's aggro, but it requires more thinking than crap like pirate warrior. You need to plan a few turns ahead to avoid AOE and maximise combos.
You mean Dude Paladin with Lighfused Stegodon, Level Up!, Call to Arms and pirate package + some weapons? Faced it like 3 times, went 1-2 as Secret Mage, then 2-3 times as Tempo Rogue with some tweaks and won all games, but it might be luck.
That deck surely seems solid, but anything taunt/aoe heavy will beat the crap out of it, so Control Warlock (which seems quite strong atm) is a good thing to play against it. Also, Shaman with Devolve? Haven't tested, but it also might seem a decent counter.
Aggro Pala is the new pirate warrior is the new owerload shaman is the new tempo rogue is the new secret Paladin is the new ebola Paladin is the new mech mage is the new undertaker hunter is the new zoo lock etc. There will always be a "the best aggro deck" and aggroplayers will always play that deck.
People will always play aggressive strategies in hearthstone. if you don't like it quit. The only cancer is people like you posting threads on hearthpwn comparing one the most worlds most devastating illnesses to a kids game.
Wow. Way to lower the mood there, Blackbeard... ^_^
It's just a game, you know...
In any case, I should have to do this... but whenever someone misunderstands what the word cancer actually means, it's good to have the below image for reference. The word cancer has more than one meaning, Mr Freud... In games etc, the second part is referred to...
The winrate against warlock is greater than 50% for the second version but still the lowest.
'Aight. I guess the different meta sites have their own stats - makes sense. Mine was from Metastats (for what it's worth). I still reckon that Warlock might be a little too slow. Although I would have thought Voidwalker and that new 2/4 taunt would have provided more cover to get there.

I'd actually say Volcano is a better counter against it than devolve. If you rely on devolve you also need to have lightning storm or maelstrom portal in your hand to actually remove the minions. Volcano cleans it up by itself.
True true. I was thinking Devolve because of the buffs that it removes. But yeah, AoE is mandatory atm.

Does Volcano ping the divine shields and then continue? (basically, does the divine shield removal resolve before volcano carries on?)
Because that's one of the problems that straight AoEs have against this deck - it has the ability to shield most of its minions up.
Super-aggro is usually dominant at the beginning of an expansion - it's what forces refinement of the slower decks, which come into maturity after a few weeks.
Faced it a number of times and it's incredibly hard for me to beat - I need perfect hand of t6 barnabus into hardened scales (I'm playing midrange, so it's okay, I get my wins back when I face priests).
Basically, they have nearly infinite token pool due to that 1/1 deathrattle guy, and knife juggler deals so much damage here (and both can be recruited).
Maybe some Dead Man's Hand/tempo warrior would be good against it if we have paladin infection, because wirlwinds.

The Roshambo to Hearthstone. Please be nice. Don't insult or be mad at someone for throwing Rock.
I have seen one aggro paladin yesterday, and that’s it.. looked fun to play.. not sure about your rank and region..
Yeah, a toast!

I'm not sure Warlock might be the way to go to beat this one... :-P
Just wait for shaman to find a viable deck and the weenies will leave soon enough.
