You mean Dude Paladin with Lighfused Stegodon, Level Up!, Call to Arms and pirate package + some weapons? Faced it like 3 times, went 1-2 as Secret Mage, then 2-3 times as Tempo Rogue with some tweaks and won all games, but it might be luck.
That deck surely seems solid, but anything taunt/aoe heavy will beat the crap out of it, so Control Warlock (which seems quite strong atm) is a good thing to play against it. Also, Shaman with Devolve? Haven't tested, but it also might seem a decent counter.
I'd actually say Volcano is a better counter against it than devolve. If you rely on devolve you also need to have lightning storm or maelstrom portal in your hand to actually remove the minions. Volcano cleans it up by itself.
True true. I was thinking Devolve because of the buffs that it removes. But yeah, AoE is mandatory atm.
Does Volcano ping the divine shields and then continue? (basically, does the divine shield removal resolve before volcano carries on?)
Because that's one of the problems that straight AoEs have against this deck - it has the ability to shield most of its minions up.
As a paladin main against my will (i keep getting all paladin legs in my packs wtf) i have to say paladin has struggled last expansion. When a class struggles, it goes back to its roots.
Just like the much hated pirate warrior. Sure, some play it because it's easy af. But some centered all cards on warrior back when control warrior was tier 1.
Paladin has a few aggro decks that work at the moment, but it really can't compete with its heavy setup anymore, silence is just way too common with kaza or whatever
Murlocs is my thing now, some day i'll try the dudes. But it's actual fun really.
Still haven't crafted patches btw and i'm an active player.
Let me know if you find any because so far this thread hasn't seen a single bit, which is a pleasant change. In fact, it's been positively civil which is nice - (apart from a couple of slightly weird and desperate posts like this one that don't add to the conversation at all...) Lol! :-P
There's an interesting set of results for Secret Hunter againts Aggro Paladin. It really struggles against Paladin (barely even a 30% winrate) and yet it runs riot against Warlock Zoo with 75% win rate.
I wonder if that's due to the lack of value trades from the Hunter secrets against pally 1/1 weenies in comparison to ZooLock's buffed minions. And the slower paced game - Hunter comes online more solidly in the 5-10 mana slot, whereas Paladin pretty much destroys you before this section occurs, whereas ZooLock waits for cards like Bonemare etc to swing the game and can't deal with the secrets as well.
On second thought, It appears Burn Mage is pretty much unbeatable too for this deck. Hmm. Much like others have noted in fact - that Warlock and Mage are the death of this expansion. I had thought that maaaaaaybe Paladin might be worth it, and it's fun. But it's nowhere near as overpowered as those two decks in fairness.
People will always play aggressive strategies in hearthstone. if you don't like it quit. The only cancer is people like you posting threads on hearthpwn comparing one the most worlds most devastating illnesses to a kids game.
Wow. Way to lower the mood there, Blackbeard... ^_^
It's just a game, you know...
In any case, I should have to do this... but whenever someone misunderstands what the word cancer actually means, it's good to have the below image for reference. The word cancer has more than one meaning, Mr Freud... In games etc, the second part is referred to...
You can repeat that as many times as you want. People simply prefer to feign offense to the word and act sensitive. I'm not sure if the language barrier is too damn thick, but they won't get it anyway. I should be glad my mother tongue also uses cancer to describe malign things...
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
They turn Paladin, an honourable and holy class into a SMORC ME GO FACE ALWAYS GO FACE BUFF MINIONS FACE WEAPON TURN 4 RECRUIT 3 MINIONS FACE (just like Agro Druid, Bloodlust Shaman, Face Hunter and Zoolock, decks played by brainless people even on casual).
Aggro paladin isn't even that good lol. Murlocs are much better and control warlock crushes this deck.
Aggro paladin is better than murlocks, it is more easy to empty your hand and draw heavy with Divine Favor, this combined with Call to Arms is hard to deck run out of steam.
A control with decent draw can win but other aggro/tempo deck will lose.
My only disapoint is the only deck paladin have now, for paladin I like more midrange/control style.
Start a salt mining operation in this thread.
I've no clue what I'm doing...

Question everything.
I would say that the new secret mage is cancer, but with spell hunter it is quite easy - that new secret rune never trigger
What makes it cancer exactly?

No it isn't. It's not even close so quit the childish hyperbole.

Murloc paladin is the most cancer deck in this meta.
Latest stats added to the OP for my test with my own home-brew version of this deck.
