People who take their meta decks to casual. I mean, I'm trying to experiment with new cards and deck archetypes and they're being jerks by smorcing me before I can really play my deck. It's casual! If you just want to go face and win, take it to ranked! Anyone else agree? (And if you don't, this thread is not for you.)
Especially any sort of aggro deck. I don't mind aggro in ladder, but in casual I just want to punch and turd using pirate warrior or aggro druid and ESPECIALLY huntards.
I guess they go casual because their asses get beaten on ladder by other meta decks. But you are perfectly right, I can't even play my Marin Priest peacefully..
But what can be done about it? I've seen some pretty ridiculous suggestions on these boards like "hey, anything Tier 2 or above shouldn't be allowed in casual". But what determines the quality of a card? The devs aren't going to take stats from fan sites as gospel.
People are playing casual for different reasons, whether it's to quickly farm gold with aggro decks, or complete quests. Or like us, testing new decks. It sucks, but sadly the miserable buggars are unavoidable.
Yep. A couple days ago I had a really funny thing happen to me. So I'm done with ranked for that night and I go to bed thinking I'd play a couple of casual games on my iphone just till I feel like going to sleep. So I grab my meme warrior with all kinds of shenanigans (king mosh, blood warriors, whirlwinds combos etc) and I get this one guy three times in a row.
First time he played a Jade Druid and I beat him by playing geist on turn 7-8 whatever it was and clearing the board with mosh after that. Got out some big bodies after that and he was done.
Second time he played aggro druid LOL. Rekt him again cause duh, this warrior can clear the board in multiple ways.
Third time, again, same guy, played freaking Big Druid. At that point I'm already laughing so hard at the thought of him getting shitty draws and losing this otherwise favored matchup. Absolutely rekt him again after some good brawls and mosh.
The guy then proceeded to ''try'' and add me at least 20 times with as little as a couple of seconds in-between his requests. Never accepted, as it would've been another rank 18 salty noob who wants to feel good playing meta decks in casual and got destroyed by a meme deck. Felt good.
We get this thread every so often. The problem is that "casual" and "ranked" aren't different game modes; the same rules apply, the same cards are allowed, and you get the same rewards. People will play what they consider fun for their reasons. There really isn't a solution, and it isn't up to you to tell other players what they should consider fun.

I never once mentioned anything about fun being "subjective". Maybe actually read the OP before replying? Also, you contradicted yourself. You indeed do not get the same rewards from playing casual as ranked. That's why ranked is ranked, and casual is casual. Case in point, if you spend all season playing casual and completely ignore ranked, you will get no season rewards. They are different modes, just not necessarily different formats. Think about your words before you post them.
I disagree. Casual is a way to test some new deck for few games if you don't want to loose ranks while experimenting (say you are on rank2-3 already or aiming to top100 legend).
Eh, if I'm trying out a new deck (even if it's a meta one) I'll take it for a few rounds in casual rather than burning my rank whilst learning it. Similarly if I have a mission to say, play 30 Murlocs, then casual is the place to take a Murloc Paladin deck - albeit not one I'd build well, but still, there's several good reasons to play at least near-meta decks in casual.

"If you don't agree with this opinion, this thread is not for you" I'm not saying you're wrong about the casual thing, but I don't think this is the place to create a circle jerk on a topic with no openness to a counter-argument. That would be what the salt thread is for. Also, sometimes people are just trying to play the game without any consequences. If I'm on the bus and I know i'm about to pass through a dead-zone I'll queue up for casual regardless of what deck I'm playing so that I can play without having to stress about whether I won't be able to reconnect and be forced to take a ranked loss. While I agree it sucks that there isn't a great place to try out new decks, I don't think there's really an argument to be made here since I don't think blizzard would add a "Theorycraft only" mode.
Actually the more I think about it the more I like that idea. A theorycraft mode where you can only play one deck like 3 times? I'd be interested in that. Doesn't change what I said at first though, take your whining to the salt thread and come back with genuine constructive thought to the rest of the forums.

I do agree, it is frustrating.

time to play some aggro token druid in wild casual mode
Quasi-stellar radio source
Oops sorry almost forgot this thread was not for me...
Well now i've posted anyway...
Most people just play their quest in casual (of course, there are "è§('çà everywhere also). There should be a "fun and test" mode to test decks.
Just my 2 coppers... Oh yeah, sorry again... Should I shut the door when leaving?
Me again! What I hate the most is sitting on a pile of dust waiting for the meta to settle... but ok that's probably just me...
to hell with murloc paladins in casual too. Y'all can go screw yourselves.

Lmao, hindering an opinion based thread by prohibiting an oposing opinion. Funny.
Anyways i love seeing meme decks on casual i usually dont play to win if i see some clown fiesta happening. I love watching meme decks unfold
