I can't afford it this time so I guess me too but I'll be back to paying for it next expansion and might even make an order before that.
I know the feeling, a furnace repair gobbled up my free cash so its just the packs my gold will buy. 90 packs to start, and then maybe a few more in a couple of weeks depending on what I get.
I get almost all the cards that I want as a free player, do not spend money, with 60 packs from my gold I will have enough cards to do some new meta decks. Then one month later I will start to craft all the key cards that I do not have.
it’s both rude/disrespectful and ignorant to call people that spend money on this game “********.” If everyone was like you, we would not have hearthstone. Free to play players do not supply blizzard workers with a paycheck. No paycheck no work. No work no game. Check your attitude bruh.
I am not F2P myself, bought Naxx, BRM, LoE, Welcome Bundle and even spent 10$ on Magni skin (total of 75$). I have nothing against people who pay for their game, and if I just started playing I'd most likely buy packs myself to get a quicker start.
I just said it would be ******** for me at this point where I can keep up completely only with gold, it would be same as if I literally tore money apart since I end up having all possible decks I ever wanted with gold only with ease. I even said it's OK if someone wants entire set for collection purposes or if someone really likes golden cards. I don't believe I was being disrespectful or rude...
Oh okay, my mistake. I read your post but i did not realize that you were speaking only of yourself. I thought you were saying “anyone” who spends money on this game is retarded. I get the logic if you have already built a decent collection, It’s pointless to spend money. My bad bro.
F2P (or FTP) thats how I role. Been saving since min October and I'm gonna have 4400 by release + the 6 Blizzard will hand over= 50 packs to open. Been playing for a year now and saving is a key or you do 'fall behind.' It is possible, I can't play every deck variation but I can consistently construct the few competitive decks I really want to play. Also gold and dust management actually adds another level to the games strategy that P2P miss out on.
Memedeck-seeker. Always tries to build new decks. Hates tournements, streamers, netdecks and poor-o players. ah, but a tournement mode could be great !!!
Same. Been a paying customer since beta but i just can't justify spending money on this game anymore when I drop it for months at a time between expansions waiting for inevitable nerfs :(
F2P too. I also used to spend a lot on packs since I am a collectionist but now I decided that enough is enough. I have 1500 gold like you and about 400 dust to spare. My collection lacks about 50 or so cards to be complete and I've started to only collect golden cards from the classic set since I've changed my mind regarding expenses in the game. Let's see how lucky I am with the pack pulls. In the past, there were expansions where I had such a bad (towards 35 packs in avg) pity timer (GvG, MSoG) but recently I've had quite a bit of luck getting golden legendaries (KfT alone gave me 2 in about 110 packs opened to date) and legendaries in general (about 18 packs in avg), not to mention I was lucky enough not to open any of the Princes or The Boogeymonster from WoG to date. Welcome aboard the F2P train. Choo Choo

Ever since i played hearthstone a couple of years ago, i have always bought packs, but this expansion i decided to try out the free to play model and try to see the game from a free to play models prospective.
You said you think it's NOT a free to play game. I'm afraid that is not a matter of opinion, it is free to play game.
Hearthstone is only free to play if your time is worth nothing. Grinding for gold is like working for 50¢ an hour.

You sir deserve a medal. Couldn’t have said it better myself!!
I went free to play when blizzard got rid of the adventures to make hearthstone more expensive. Before the change you could spend 40 a year on hearthstone and basically make any deck you wanted. Now you can spend 150 bucks a year and still come up short. No thanks.

If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.

I have a problem enrolling my credit card and Blizzard customer support is making me go circles trying to resolve it.
I was able to use it to buy Gwent packs with no issues.
Until they fix the issue, I can't spend another cent on any Blizzard title even if I wanted to. Sad. for Blizzard's pocket.
Bad players whine.
Good players adapt.
Nope.
Yep as always. 7k for packs and then try to infinite arena, ez pz
