Based on what. Does malfurion say on it that is a spell? You don't get to make up what cards are. Go to your collection and type in spell and you'll notice malfurion doesn't come up.

Yes ... that is a good point. Thank you. :)
However, if you're casting something, that doesn't put a MINION on the board, isn't that a spell then ???

Malfurion puts minions on the board. So even if I conceded your point (which makes no sense) you'd still be wrong. Spells put minions on the board all the time.
Weapons also don't always put minions on the board, and they aren't spells either.
the line of logic OP is using is like saying if you're not black your white like holy shit its not a difficult concept that A THIRD OR FOURTH CARD TYPE CAN EXIST.
And god forbid they make a fifth one or this guy wont be able to wrap his head around it.
(and for the record spells can also put minions on the board so that just cements his ignorance of the game mechanics. if this is a troll, then WELL PLAYED)
I have a question that I hope this community can answer.
In HS, if you're not playing a minion, then your playing a spell ... am I right ???
No.
Firstly, before Knights there were three card types: Minions, Spells, and Weapons. The three are mechanically different types and all items fell into one of these these three categories. This is why Cho can't copy a waraxe and why you can't counterspell Rag (note that this IS an important concept as in games like MTG cards that summon minions are spells so you CAN counterspell a 'minion').
However, Knights of the Frozen Throne introduced a new card type, Hero cards. They work as a forth card type separate from all others. They are NOT minions, so Rat doesn't pull him. They are NOT spells, so Cho doesn't interact with them. They are NOT weapons so you can't ooze them.
This isn't speculation or logic. This is an official statement from Blizzard themselves.
Note that Jaraxxus is officially a minion, not a Hero card. He's a minion who's battlecry replaces himself with your hero. He is NOT a hero card. He COULD'VE been converted into a hero card, but Blizzard has not done so and has shown no intention of doing so. Note that the way that he functions is 'funny' due to this but does work within the confines of him being a minon. Go to the MANY ***MANY*** articles and videos that go into detail about him if you have questions.
Note that they COULD"VE done the same thing with the Death Knights: made them minions with battlecries or even just spells that changed your hero. But they didn't: they created a new card time in this case.
Because Hero Cards are officially a forth card type and thus do not interact with cards that only affect spells. If we had a "heroCho" that copies "Hero Cards" or just "card" then the hero card would be copied.
Sidenote, the term is Hero Card, not Death Knight. They were just introduced in this expansion, but blizzrard is perfectly free to add new hero cards that work just like the death Knights in future expansions.
Besides spells and minions there are 2 other categories of cards, hero cards and weapons. Malfurion belongs to the category of hero cards so its not a spell
To add to this: you'll notice all 4 card categories have a unique border shape around the card art to identify them (i.e. circle for weapons).

So ........ If i have Lorewalker Cho on the board, and my opponent plays Malfurion the Pestilent ...... shoudn't I get a copy of it?????
If not, then WHY NOT ???????
"The world outside is so big, but it's safe in my domain
Because to you I'm just a number and a clever screen name..."
I THINK FOR MYSELF, THEREFORE.... I'M AN ATHEIST !!!
It's a Death Knight, not a spell.
Not sure if you're just trolling.
Either way, a spell is a spell, a minion is a minion, a hero card is a hero card and a weapon is a weapon. It's not a hard concept
What I'm asking is that to me Malfurion the Pestilent is a spell not a minion, so Lorewalker Cho should make a copy of it ......

Well technically, there was already Lord Jaraxxus "hero" before, but he was creature.

While I don't know if OP is a Gastropod, he's stubborn for sure :D

I guess this is why we can't have more than 18 deck slots.
You are that kind of person who shoots a ball to the football goal and says: "If it wasn't for the goalkeeper, I would have scored!"
Sheer nonsense.
You even get the explanation multiple times and you are still arguing about it because you are not happy with the correct answers given.
It's a hero card. Period.

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.
