RNG from draws kills me, and the stagnant meta changes due to long gaps in releases (which cant be helped) really suck the last two months of every cycle
I've been back since October this year, and I'm already sick of playing the same 2 decks. I kept myself interested in old gods by having 5+ decks. the "stale" meta doesn't bother me as much as I feel it constantly evolves (in micro doses), but only playing the same deck for months is what gets old to me.
It's too late now to build new decks as well so really have to just stick it out for a few weeks.
The Internet. I'd like to see a Hearthstone environment where every single player built his own deck. That would be amusing and fun. Now everybody plays the same deck and it's totally predictable three months after the release of an expansion.
It's so fun, seeing a poll made to thrash the state of the game, when most of the votes says otherwise.
i'm absolutley not surprised with poll results
i'm clearly understand that there are lots of people who don't know math and just love to drop a huge Yogg-Saron, Hope's End and laugh watching him killing themselves while drinking a beer.
Getting mana-screwed in Magic: the Gathering is a far, far, FAR more common occurrence than any game being decided solely by RNG in Hearthstone.

Im too uncreative, too much a spike, and too shifty to have fun when the meta establishes itself after the first month or so. I want a lot of diverse deck options that are competitive but that will never happen
I'm a fun of smart play, i love skill based decks I like to survive first part of the game, to draw big hand to have choice, and to make hard and smart choices, I love to know meta, and to play around opponents deck, and to outsmart my opponents
lets look at current meta Aggro/tempo: Tempo Rogue - no skill needed - just draw a prince Zoo Warlock - no skill needed - just go face Evolve Shaman - no skill needed - just draw evolve Aggro Token Druid - no skill needed - just get good start
OTK: Highlander Priest - a bit of skill is needed - just draw raza Secret Mage - no skill needed - just draw combo
Control: nothing playable
[...]
so looks like the best thing i can do is to quit
I don't like this meta as well. But you actually managed to sort all decks in the wrong categories, except for Aggro Druid. The other decks are deck types on their own (Tempo, Zoo). Razakus is a control deck. Secret Mage is a midrange deck, but you might refer to Quest Mage - which as well is a control deck. Yeah, OTK, but still Control decks. Old Patron was also an OTK deck with Frothing Berserker, but it was more of a midrange deck.
Yeah. Might be best to quit instead of whining about a game most people enjoy. Or do the same as me and take a break. But stop the whine. Your ways to fix are incredibly horrible.
1. There will always be cards considered "OP". It's the same with any other CCG or TCG. That's for example why certain TCGs use banlists (similar to the Hall of Fame in HS).
2. Bullshit. The game and all cards are centered around 30 cards and 30 hp. This way you would absolutely demolish balance - and that is quite easy to figure out.
3. Go ahead. It seems like your taste is the problem, not HS. Yeah, there are issues. But most will fix themselves with the upcoming rotation.
There is always something people cry about (this thread!). This is always happening. Imagine: Priest used to be incredibly terrible until MSoG. Before WoG shaman was incredibly horrible - with WoG (and Karazhan) it was tier 1 for almost a year. Never ending story, decks come and go. Metas come and go.
Ever wondered why so many cry babies still play this game?
the problem is that before, OP cards was like raganaros or alextrasa there was only few so powerful cards, and you had 7 turns to prepare to deal with it, nowdays each players deck contains 15+ cheap or not so cheap OP cards, and the best strategy is not to play around OP cards anymore - best strategy is to play your own OP cards asap and to hope that your opponent didn't have another OP answer.
1. The mana cost is not really a problem, is it? It just determines when it can be played. Also, there have always been low cost OP cards, even in the basic set. Ice Block, Wild Growth, Fiery Win Axe (rip in pieces), Innervate (rip in even more pieces). Just look at the hall of fame as well, there's plenty of these early day OP cards. Are you a 'newer' player? (No offense intended) Because that would explain not thinking and knowing of these.
2. Your statement is wrong. Simply wrong. There have always been powerful aggro decks since Hearthstones early days: Look up Undertaker Hunter which dominated by crushing literally everything right after Naxxramas was released. It basicly was an aggro (at most hybrid) Hunter deck. Patron Warriors highest mana card was 5 costed - Grim Patron itsself. There are many more older, basic or classic cards, which have been or still are OP. Some of these cards have existed even in Beta days and have been in more decks than any of "your" OP cards. Yeah. The best strategy is playing OP cards first - but that is what CCGs and TCGs is about. Has never been different, will never be different. If you remove this or that OP card, other cards will become more powerful. There will always be a pool of cards with high power level, you just shift them depending on the most powerful ones.
IMO the current problem is not the meta being unbalanced as you are saying. The meta is more diverse than the most metas I have experienced. The problem are highroll decks which need to draw certain cards on certain turns to gain incredible chances to win a match up. Keleseth on turn 2 (and shadowsteps for the rogue), Anduin/Raza/Velen to finish off enemies, Quest mage randomizing helpful spells from their Tomes, Babbling Books etc. That's what I despise as well. Why I don't play this game as much. Why I won't order the 50 packs from KaC. I'll be f2p until things change or slowly fade out if it stays this way.
It just feels like you are not made to play this kind of games which is fair enough. You just seem to be at odds with core mechanics and principles of card games. HS is not solely about luck. There are players who always hit top 100 legend.
Counter-argument; some decks (even as far back as vanilla HS) still had rng at the core of their design, and there were OP cards since Vanilla and before WotOGs released.
Zoolock, handlock, face hunter, & mechmage depended loosely on draw & curve rng. Did they draw low/ mid-cost minions when they needed it early on, did they draw into giants/drake by turn 3/4, etc.
OP cards/plays have existed for awhile. Pyro & Equality? 4 mana for a full board clear when things like Twisting Nether costs twice as much mana. If you don't draw Pyro you can still find an out by turn 6 with Equality & Consecrate.
1) you are playing against razakus, he played raza and hero, now each turn can be last for you depending on his hand, not on your skill - there is very little you can do about it, you can try drop a rat to destroy his Prophet Velen or if you a mage you can try some secrets, but otherwise there is no way to defend yourself, because any next turn he may play his combo hpProphet VelenhpHoly SmitehpMind BlasthpThe Coinhp = 2+4+4+4+10+4+4 = 32
2) exodia mage - lol he even don't care what is you class or deck, he is digging his deck for a combo, again only rat or some secret may be a smart way to deal with it
best way to win razakus or exodia is to kill it fast with aggro/tempo (play all what you draw with a very few exceptions)

Life grip can also counter Exodia Mage.
Mill Rogue also works wonders against both of the decks you describe if they haven't drawn into all of their key cards yet.
1. Blizzard wanted to make a card game that takes full adventage of being digital game. So you may ask - "what is almost impossible to make in paper TCG?" so the answer is: randomly generated cards. It's time to stop.
2. Not rewarding ranked mode - rewards for ranks are too small (ie. comparing it to Gwent). Give people packs instead 400 dust.
3. Not rotating basic cards - it's time to make them rotate every year - let's give everyone at the begining of the season new basic cards.

I really hate Hearthstone. Unfortunately I am good at it.
You just see all these same boring decks because its the start of the season and netdeckers all try to get back to their own ranks. When things settle theres gonna be more diversity in decks.

there is not a single spot for skill, the smartest choice (if you like to win) is to grab a luck based deck and cross fingers
So what happened to game i loved to play before? it is started with old gods - superpowerfull cards was added, first time it was not that bad - one or two mega cards in you opponents hand to play around, but with next expansion blizzard had to introduce something even more powerful in order to make new patch better, and then one more time, and again. So, now we have a huge amount of overpowered cards. And what happens when overpowered meets overpowered? Yes, wins that player who drew more overpowered card faster, what a fun.
RNG cards is another problem, but it was discussed many times.
What is a way to fix it? there are few ways to fix it: 1) to stop printing OP card - i'm sure blizzard not going to do that 2) to rise win conditions like to give each player more hp and bigger deck - this well make games last longer and blizzard never going to go this way 3) to find something better to play - this is the only thing i can do without blizzards assistance, but sadly there is no real competitors
are you serious - there is no way to win with it any other matchups
Hey, you are the one saying there are no other options to win against quest mage. Just because the deck isn't top tier doesn't mean it still doesn't act as an effective counter.
Top-notch high win rate or better win rate against decks you don't like. Pick one.

I'm ready to discuss only playable decks,
my initial statement meant to be "it is getting less and less interesting for me to play ranked" and i think that the problem is a huge amount of OP cards available, decks used to contain 80% of cards that suck more or less, now we've got 15+ op cards in each deck, what reduced importance of thinking in favor of good luck

Well then expect to continue to lose many of those match-ups. Unless you're priest there is no near perfect deck to beat everything with, while maintaining a high winrate.
Jade and Razakus are just depressing control decks a bit much, but it is a manageable issue that can still be corrected with either tech cards or else timely nerfs. The game isn't amazing right now but I'd say since beta that this is about average, much like the meta just before standard hit if I'm being honest.

Doesn't rogue have a better win rate right now? Serious question, I thought it did.
I love the people that think their opinions matter about what decks require skill and which ones don't and, not only that, telling a 5 page story on how you started playing HS and what it's actually become.
I understand that telling the devs problems about the game does make it a better experience for all other players, but if the problems you tell them are nothing but "I don't like this meta, no skill needed wa wa" then obviously no one wants to listen to you and it makes you look like an idiot. Don't play the game if you don't like the direction the game is taking. Telling a long ass summary on what "problems" the game has is pretty useless.

it's hard countered by token druid as long as you tech tar and saronite (the more defencive version) it's why aggro druid does well at legend IMO.
