How is that not broken? 3 damage aoe is not even worth 4 mana, Hellfire is undercosted because it hurts your own board and face. 3 damage aoe to enemies in vanila without absurd powercreep costs like 5-6 mana (5-5.5 precisely), just look at Flamestrike and Consecration
I should probably point out that Duskbreaker deals to ALL other minions - so it's not just to the enemy. That would undoubtedly be extremely powerful if that were the case.
Plenty of people seem to think that the iterations of Dragon Priest most likely to see play after the new set launches will be value-based control decks. It's difficult to see how any value deck can hope to compete against the two decks which have currently squeezed value-oriented strategies out of the meta-game - Jade Druid and Razakus are both gaining new toys in the upcoming expansion, and it's entirely possible that neither deck will see appreciably less play until both are simply eliminated by rotation next spring. MR Dragon Priest seems much more likely - it isn't playing a long-term value game that matches poorly against the value-denying decks on ladder, and it might be fast enough to avoid the single copy of Psychic Scream that Razakus will be running, allowing it to win before Razakus stabilizes.
I suppose we'll know the answers in two weeks, give or take.
I think that Dragon priest can generate good tempo in the Midgame. Starting with a board clear on turn 4 (trading minions if necessary and remove everything from the opposite side), you can curve out pretty well. And if Jade goes nuts on the board with either Jade Golems or a huge spreading plague, you can use psychic scream to reset the board. And dilute his draws with below average minions (6/6 for 6 or a 1/5 for 2). But you are right, we will get our answers.
It's entirely possible that control versions of Dragon Priest will run both Dragonfire and Scream - but Jade Druid mitigates a lot of the damage of Scream due to its ability to draw its entire deck. The new "Choose Twice" spell (forget the name) seems like a good candidate for Jade Druid - it can draw two or buff a board of taunt bugs for an alpha strike lethal, so I suspect that room will be found for it post-K&C - combined with UI, Jade Druid might often regard Scream as more of a nuisance than a game-winning threat. If a Control build of Dragon Priest is running lots of removal, it might not be able to field enough threats to put a deck like JD on a clock which is short enough to win the game - the Jades always come back, one way or another, while value decks eventually run out of removal.
Again, all of this is pretty speculative, though reasonable - the new set has enough "we've never seen that before" cards that it is quite likely that completely new decks will become viable, with effects on the meta-game which no one can really foresee. And there might be completely mundane developments as well - if the new Zoo decks are fast enough, and there aren't enough good Dragons to consistently "charge" an on-curve Duskbreaker in the upcoming meta, a great deal of the initial potential of that particular card won't be realized in Standard.
I get what you’re saying but I’m much more worried about psychic scream than I am about duskbreaker. Dragon priest is just an alright deck. Raza priest is already busted and getting one of the top 5 cards of this expansion that perfectly fits into the deck and fits their gameplan. I don’t know if dragon priest being strong even matters because it’s just going to lose to raza priest, along with everything else.
it's going to become impossible to play any aggro/midrange decks against them.
Nothing wrong with that.
You priest players are just unbelievable...You do realize that most classes only few viable decks that requires playing minion to beat down the opponent to win the game?

By that, I am assuming then that you have literally NEVER played priest? Otherwise you would be included in that catchall statement...?
