As for your interpretation of BMing being a result of personality perturbations and even disorders, this is exactly the kind of delusional lie that I was talking about. There's no need to 'look deep down into this' because it never was such a serious matter. BMing doesn't always have to do with disturbances in their mental state or problems in real life. Hell, it rarely does. The asshole is bored so he BMs on a whim. The feel of victory is awesome so he BMs. He is salty and so he vents and BM. That's it. It's on a whim. It doesn't have to do with disorders or problems or whatnot. That is blowing matters out of proportion to feel better. There is no need to feel sorry for the BMer. He probably has no issues. He doesnt have to live life problems or mental disorders. He isn't in a sorry state that you can look down on him from above and feel better then tell yourself 'he is pitiful'. He's probably an average dude acting on the mean streak that everyone has. It's just easier to be nasty with online anonymity. That's it. Delusions. Self consolation. Exaggeration. Fixing some wounded pride by mentally lowering the dude who you let wound you.
My interpretation comes from simple aspects that you see being involved in both Psychiatry and Psychology... You can look at it however you want, but I would advise you to study this subject a little before passing judgement (You are not required to, but it would do you good to be more aware.).
I didn't say it was a serious matter nor that you needed to look deep into it, I do that because I'm "trained" that way, to identify patterns, to relate behaviours, so on.
And yes, I said that aswell, it doesn't always have to do with that, I pointed that out.
The rest of the message is you reiterationg the same thing I already explained above, but seems I hit too close to home so you feel the need to enforce the opinion you have again. You don't have to defend yourself for your behaviour. I will feel sorry for my opponent if the levels he expresses are extreme because that is easy to see the scale he is at, from a general point.
I was going to start a long wall of text explaining a good chunk of stuff in detail, but I actually feel like it is pointless, if you were interested in knowing what I'm talking about, you could do something as simple as talk to a professional on the subject, that is, if you don't want to go and study the subject yourself. The way you reacted tells me that is not your interest, your interest is to ease your mind because you possibly also fall into this subject and don't want to be associated with the issues I posted above, so you need to take this stance to help you believe there is nothing wrong with you, not even the smallest disorder. And with that in mind, it is fine, if that is what brings you peace, good for you.
The biggest issue in society is how stigmatized everything around mental health has always been and how shameful people feel to seek help, even though they shouldn't, most times it's nothing big.
Dude, I really really think that you are reading too much into this. And no, I dont BM. I dont indulge in asshole behavior, even if it is in retaliation. If I see someone BMing, I sqelch. If anything, I dont like BMers because their presence makes a lot of people reject my friend requests since most expect nonsensical flaming. So no, no sensitivity issues here. You got to the wrong conclusion(but I can logically trace back to your assumptions). Getting the wrong conclusion here already shows that however legitimate your experience in psychiatry may be(assuming it exists, forgive my doubts, this is the internet after all), your judegment is wrong in my case. And I'm pretty sure it is wrong in the case of BMers. Because a large portion of the player base consists of teenagers and young adults. You the know the saying 'boys will be boys'? I'm thinking along those lines. I have teenage friends who BM in hs. They are not mental and they dont have a disorder. And they are not bad people. They are ordinary teenagers who act on their emotions at that point of time. And they do so without guilt or regret or malice because it isnt that big of a deal to them. It shouldn't be that big of a deal to you either. They are merely pre-progammed words on a screen. Please dont tell me that it is a proffessionally accurate diagnosis of someone's mental state. Also, I never felt attacked by your judgement on BMers, simply because I didnt classify myself in that group. But I feel attacked now since someone who I have never met just accused me of being mental based on 2 written paragraphs that opposed his view. Can you see where my doubts of your proffesionalism originate from? I hope that you are reasonable enough to not blindly perceive this a threat to your credibility as well as seriously consider what I am saying rather than just assigning me an illness and coming to your own conclusions.
Ok,I'm gonna have to agree with you there and stop here since it is indeed diverting from the orignal thread. Just wanna say that I think I get what you mean and that since these 'issues' you speak of are so simple, perhaps they arent really issues at all, so getting professionnal help really seems unnecessary and overkill. The term 'disorder' and the formal language already gave me the impression that you are referring to something serious, which is unbeffiting of common behavior in a card game. As for the severity of mental stigma, sadly as of now, it is here to stay and there is no easy way of changing majority of society's perception.
I don't know if im a psychopath or not but i always bm braindead aggro decks...
I felt it necessary to note my "LOL" "Turn 5 lethal?"-SMOrc That reminds of before Reno was wild and I'd play it turn 6 and the pirate warrior would just concede.
The thing is that you can't know if someone plays correctly though since all tier 1 decks have been braindead for a while.I have met players that have been as bad as bots at high legend ranks...So the skill factor in bming is irrelevant.
As for the who bms or not, well aggro players almost always bm at casual.I always play meme decks on casual and honestly there have been almost 0 games without facing a smorc opponent who not only doesn't spam like imbecile(that is easily fixed with squelch),but roping before lethal and so many times trying to add me.And If by accident i add them then i am a lucky f*ck when i beat them and a noob that needs to l2p when i lose. That's the reason i hate aggro players with passion in this game but i don't mind their decks. Not that aren't control assholes but the difference in ratio is staggering.
The only thing that rivals the toxicity of aggro players in casual are the overplayed and simplified combo players like exodia mages and razakus priests.
This post has really attracted the weird people, but I notice that emotes don't have much affect on me. I just don't play with my ego. If someone emotes much, then I'll emote back and probably win. I'm only bothered when people emote oops and usually it's not an oops haha. If the opponent doesn't know you, then realistically they shouldn't emote as often, but what does it really matter? Why call something bad manners when it's someone idly clicking on their screen? Are people too sensitive these days?

Somehow you managed to put correct arguments in the same post as completely illogical ones.
It is true that one faces a lot of players that like to use Casual to play decks like Pirate Warrior since it is easier to farm gold when the opponents are not trying to win...
At the same time, you talk about Combo decks as being simplified and specially overplayed when Combo decks are rarely overplayed and never simplified. Combo decks have "easy" to understand strategies, yet they are the decks that provide the largest win rate differentials when comparing experienced and unexperienced players, which is the only valid metric to define the difficulty of a deck. Can't say much about whether the players using them are toxic or not, but I haven't actually found any problems with them, while the same I cannot say for the first ones.
I am not talking about combo decks in general,i am talking about the small portion of them that are easy to play or just super figured out like razapriest and exodia mage.Any other combo deck is non existant in casual.
Some people just don't derive any satisfaction from their actual life so they need to make up the difference in the game and/or virtual world. That or they are just degenerates. Either way it's no different from any other game. Just feel sorry for them and move on! :)

High skill players can also BM, but they has other reasoning to do it. If bad player BMing because he's an idiot, good player can BM in match against other good player to tilt him. In a match against weak player I don't think good player will BM ever.
Seriously, why does people need to give this a title? BM? It gives it some twisted kind of legitimacy to name it. Its not called "bm". Its simply called "being an idiot".

I mean, it means bad manners which is a literal description of what's going on. Calling it bad manners seems no more legitimising than calling it 'being an idiot'
