I have started playing HS since the first day it launched, and thinking to leave and uninstall it recently. Reasons below, see if you agree or not:
Randomness: Generate random cards, stealing cards are fine to me, if HS would reveal it to the opponent like what Death Grip (the lich king card) does. A unrevealed random card is impossible to be played around with, which makes the game luck > skills. I find that the game designers feel happy to have a lot of crazy stupid things happening because of the randomness, which just make me mad.
Too wild: The effects on cards are getting crazier and crazier overtime. Look at the legendary class cards in basic set and each following expansion and you know what I am talking about
More and more power creeps: From Dr.7 to bonemare to Duskbreaker, these kind of power creeps limit the deck design choices. I was happy to try out different ideas with different cards to play HS, but now it is almost impossible because of these "must-be-included" cards. Look at the card pools, and almost 80% of the cards are "useless"
Controlled playstyle Jade, quests, and etc. Previously, we constructed a deck for certain playstyle we wanted, but now we gather the cards to play the playstyle established by the game designers. After you have put all those "theme-relevant" cards (such as jade related cards) and power creeps into your deck, how many places left for you to make your own card choices? The game now become "gather the pieces" instead of "design your own"
The biggest problem is the retard community who'd rather be lazy, copy some deck and play with it.
Instead of trying new things.
And the ladder which is too repetitive and boring. Same shit over and over again.
Don't you dare to insult my beloved community dude. It's the best ever. The shit you are describing is nothing else than Team 5 fault. Are you a fanboy or something?
There are assholes in this community like in any other and dumb people that get angry for whatever reason (although that doesnt' make them bad persons), but there is also a lot of good guys (and women of course, although they are a minority) that make this community just incredible. God bless the awesome Hearthstone community!!! :)
Well I prefer seeing it as "my problem" with Hearthstone rather than "the problem". I started in December 2015 and got tired a few times already, but when it happens, I stop grinding the ladder and design my own fun decks. I see no difference in losing half my games above rank 5 with a netdeck or below 15 with my own creations, and I switch frequently between Wild and Standard. They give enough gold monthly so I don't go crazy if I lose a free golden Epic.
A unrevealed random card is impossible to be played around with, which makes the game luck > skills.
LOL, you probably suck playing arena... :P There is nothing more exciting than playing around random stuff, you just have to think much more than usual, that is all.

Yes, nothing new though. It was discussed a lot.
Hearthstone we played 2-3 years ago is dead. Blizzard is doing nothing to change anything, they found their perfect business model and will abuse it forever.

LOL, you probably suck reading text... :P There is nothing more related to "random stuff" but to "unrevealed", you just have to think much more before reply, that is all.

Yeah, sure, because in arena you can see your oponnent deck... Guess what? You can't and you don't usually have a clue about it, it is most of the time the same as playing against unrevealed random cards, genius.
this game sucks. I will just throw 4k of gold into this expansion to play for 2 weeks ( the only time this game is fun). And then I'll leave. There are better games out there

You have already mentioned the point: the game is now for causal play, instead of competitive play.
The thing I want to say is if you can only win the game with a netdeck, and lose most of the time with other decks, then the game is done.
I reacted legend 3 times previously with my own creation, not net deck: Dragon Druid during secret paladin meta Breast Dragon Druid during Totem mid range Shaman meta Giant Maly warlock (forget the meta)
They are my own creations as well, but they are still competitive. Having fun and playing with own creations doesn't mean that you will lose. One thing I want to say is, it is not the case recently and the reasons are listed in my post. If you want to create something competitive, then you MUST include some power creeps (coz they are WAY to strong), and then those power creeps limit the design and then you find that the only good deck with that power creep is the netdeck.
For example, druid players sometimes didnot run 2 nourish for mid range druid before, but can you do the same now? no, because UI is so good, and you need to ramp as fast as possible. and after you get to 10 mana fast enough, why do you still play mid range druid, I can just play the big guys right? Do you get what I am talking about? Power creeps keep limiting the deck design and making 80% of the cards useless
in my opinion you aren't enjoying the ladder experience and thats understandable time over time the meta gets stale and boring. The same decks are played and the same cards are used. I think you should play some Wild or Arena

Genius, you have all the clues about what kind of AOE spell a specific opponent class can have, even someone can pick 20 flamestrikes. But you have no clues about someone stealing a brawl from you. You can make your minions tall to play around flamestikes, but can you do anything to play around a random generated brawl???
If you really think "think much more than usual" can deal with that game-changing RNG brawl and think it is fun, good luck with that bro

Yeah, I do get it. There were less players in the good old days, therefore your homebrewed decks could make it to the top. Now there are more players, so more players netdecking, therefore your decks can't make it no matter how hard you grind. You miss that time and you blame it on Blizzard.
In the 80's, one of the best hockey players was a smoker - Guy Lafleur. You won't see that today, the game has changed because more people are playing it, the competition is stronger. Players watch each other and build their play with what they learn.
Blizz is not limiting your design with power creep cards, you are, because you can't stand to lose with your own designed decks. What I was saying is: with a netdeck, I lose half my games past rank 5. With my own decks, I lose half my games around ranks 15-10. What's the difference?
If you don't see the value of the game outside of the competitive aspect of it, then it is your loss.

Yes all the things I mentioned are regarding to the competitive aspect.
Of course you can build an aggo deck without pirvates, losing 80% to your counterparties with pirvates and think it is because the players nowadays are better. If you think that the power difference between the pirvates + fireflies and other 1 cost minions is ok and Blizzard is doing a great job, ok you win
