People who are complaining about everything even about unknown things are chronic complainers. They are constantly seeking sympathy and emotional validation, that's why they are asking others if they feel the same.
Very interesting that usually this posts start with "I'm the only one who thinks..." This hide the core of this personality trait, insecurities. They fear to be alone, the outsider, the ugly duck. Insecurities are absolutely normal at young age, nothing wrong with that, they are part of the growing process.
The healthy approach is to accept these insecurities, to acknowledge them and in the end to transcend them.
On the other hand chronic complaining and constantly criticizing is like sweeping under the rug. You are feeding your insecurities and keep them in adulthood too. Bitching everything is not giving you real respect and validation from others, just a very volatile surrogate.
I have never bought something from hearthstone untill now because im married just 2 months ago and i have proper job. When i was at collage I had time to grind and just after 1 month expansion released mostly i could make 2 or 3 meta decks. At the moment i cant! Every evening i am playing hearthstone sometimes 3 hours sometimes 15 min. to finish the quest. Why shouldnt I give 50 bucks for my hobby. I am wasting that with so many shıtty stuff. I saved my gold and bought pre order. This will be enough for now. i will play to collect the rest. I am living in Turkey and when I go to eat something in a good reataurant i am giving that money too and there is nothing wrong to give that money for my hobby as well.

GZ on Marriage and job, dude.
I guess now you can afford to pay for the expansion as well... may you open some sweet cards, bro.
I think you've missed the point of this expansion, and the direction of Hearthstone. Nonetheless, it none of your business how others spend their money. I won't be preordering this expansion, but no judgments on those who choose to.
I too have 4300 gold. That's 45 packs inclusive of the 2 packs they give you from the tavern brawls recently.
I'm trying to see if I can just save up the gold and not touch this expansion with that and craft necessary cards using dust instead. I should hope so.
For people complaining, not all the cards have been shown yet so far not even half. And this is by far for me the most interesting set so far as they've brought some new mechanic that are quite fun and interactive. But like every expansion people said KTF was awful but turn out great (not the 1st month of it).

Cheers man.. Being able to afford never been a problem it was because of just a habit ( achieving everything in a game without money) and also i reached legend and 12 win arena(this is not about money but people buy arena tickets all the time) without giving any money to hearthstone. I respect people who gives money to games and im doing atm too :) . It is important because games have to be improved and it doesnt happen without money.
The problem that I have seen in hearthstone new expansions is this. 80% of the card are garbage, 20% of the cards are good in which a few of the cards in the 20% end up being broken as hell. Pretty much every single expansion has been labelled as "The worst expansion ever" mainly because we tend to see most of the garbage revealed first.
In every single new expansion there has always been comments saying the expansion is going to suck, worst expansion ever, not wasting money on this expansion, not going to have an impact on the meta and every single time there are cards that fly under the radar, labelled as bad by the community and ended bending the meta over. It is like a repeating cycle, community initially unimpressed by card reveals, community says expansion is going to be the worse expansion ever, a new card ends up proving much more stronger that what the community originally thought it would be, a new deck comes forward and proceeds to break the meta, look at prince keleseth for example.
The grand tournament was probably the weakest expansion we ever had in hearthstone and it ended up spawning secret paladin, somehow and some way there will be a broken deck because of this set, at this point its pretty much guaranteed.
I don't know what you're talking about. For Old Gods, Ungoro, and Knights to an extent most people were extremely excited about how great the set was. Especially for Ungoro. No one said it looked like the weakest expac ever.
You are right Grand Tournament was likely the weakest released, but this one doesn't look like it's going to change the meta much and most revealed cards blow. The legendary weapons are a let down too since everyone is just gonna run ooze and harrison, maybe both. Imagine if there was an ooze that deleted your Ungoro quest, it would have killed those quests off entirely.
I didnt preorder this pack yet but I'm still considering it. It'll likely depend what else warrior and paladin get since those are my jam.
I would like to say take back what I said. Damn it was late when I wrote that rambling tripe but to fair where I am it was almost 3AM in the morning when I wrote it. To answer the OP's question the answer is that probably you should wait until you see the entire expansion before you make a decision because usually the best cards in the set tend to get shown later. Overall the only things I actually don't like is the recruit mechanic because I feel it punishes the stat distribution of minions that have it far too much and also the cards that have random in them because for some reason Blizzard are obsessed with high cost minions with poor stats that have a random effect. However everything else pretty much looks fine, anything else that does not have recruit or random seems ok. We'll just have to see how impactful the legendary weapons truly are, some look a lot stronger than others.
I can't wait to see how the rest of the set turns out.
It's not worth it to spend money on pre-order. Not because new expansion sucks but because the game sucks. Blizzard doesn't fix existing game problems for years and continue to print cards and to harvest casual audience. And until casuals will continue to pay nothing is going to change. At least now we have Gwent as competitive card game.
I'm not. I feel kind of bad, because I genuinely like the theme of this expansion. The new cards are fun, but not RNG-ridden and have good art/themes around them.
But you can't expect me to take this game seriously with the knowledge that patches, jades and razakus will still exist. And I'm done with trusting new expansions, because chances are the meta will be dominated by the same few retarded decks a month after the release anyway.
If you save gold early enough (there is a cap when it's not worth to buy more packs pretty early) you get everything you need from the next expansion. So far I saved gold for 30 packs already, with free packs from brawl etc. I will open roughly 40 packs and that is probably enough for the start.
The state of the game is not worth any dime at all. And as this game gets turned into a casual fuckfiesta more and more it will not change.
I'll be honest, one of the best things about the internet is the freedom to be as negative as you want, but I really like this expansion.
Compared to the snoozefest that KoFT was, this one looks fun and actually feels like a HS expansion. Silly-ish music in trailers, whacky cards, a fun theme. Seems to me they are recovering the identity that HS has lost recently.
Of course, I'm still not preordering, not because I am not happy about it, but because I am poor as dirt.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
I've already pre ordered, didn't need to see any of the new cards in order to do so.
If you like the game and are going to keep playing then the pre order offers decent value ito $/pack compared to just buying packs normally. Card back is meaningless to me.
Most people here will still be bitching no matter what Blizzard does with the game. And while they won't pre order they will eventually cave and buy the new set just to keep somewhat competitive on ladder and thus miss out on some small additional value.
If you play the game and are able to pre order, do it! HS Is not a cheap game to play so may as well take a good (or at least better) deal when it comes along.
In the end it all comes down to what kind of hs player you are :
a) ladder - trying to get high as possible - most likely to buy the preorder and 100+ packs (gold, real money)
b) arena - not really buying stuff since you spend your gold on arena. If you're good enough, you can complete the set with the reward packs
c) for fun - doing all the quest for the gold, disenchant golden cards for the dust value (let's be real - the golden cards are like apple stuff - no one really needs them) . Spending that gold you collected like the Kobold you are (yes, YOU).
Blizzard is finally giving us some free fun with the dungeon run. It's something...
I switched from A to C because let's be honest - Blizzard has bills to pay, servers to maintain, like every other company - BUT this FREMIUM game stuff is getting out of hand. 3 Exp in one year + the rotation of old cards.
If you want to be competitive you have to spend 300-400€ on packs every year.
Just a reminder - WoW subscriptions costs about 130-140 € a year...
I don't think that is entirely true, the 300 to 400€. Especially if you are a new-ish player you can get by with just the pre-order, potentially even without that. You won't be anywhere close to a complete collection, but you should be able to acquire a decent collection and craft one or two tier 1-2 decks. And in terms of competitive play it might even be advantageous to not play every tier 1 deck, but focus on one, learn its strength and weaknesses, and how to play it against the other top tier decks of the meta. And that in turn should give you an advantage and allow you to be competitive. And it should make you a better player in general too.
Not gonna lie this is legit the most unappealing Expansion Ive ever come across. Its definitely becoming a more 8 year old audience game (Atleast that's the way Blizz seems to be Approaching it) Like Kobalds and Catacombs like seriously after all the great expansions we've had (AND NO IM NOT SAYING FUCK YEAH TIER 1 SHIT - Shamanstone Druidstone now Prieststone ETC. FOR 4 MONTHS) I'm saying the way really appealing and felt really awesome there was a major hype. But like I just cant get over how after3 years of great stuff they come up with this. Like its just mindblowing. This'll be the first expansion I will not be preordering or spending money for the usual 300 packs I buy afterwards. Blizz seriously need to rethink what their doing its just a meme that's not even good.

Yes, best save the $50 for English lessons.
For some people their time is worth more than the grind.
just bought 10k coins for 60 euro and preordered,30 bucks every 4 months for the only game i play just seems balanced to me.(unlike UI).

Fuck cubelock
You get so little out of 50 packs, it's simply not worth it.
In addition, I'm not really hyped about this expansion, looks somewhat lame so far.
Not to mention that Steam sale is coming soon...
The last thing I bought was Karazhan adventure.

Not yet at least. There are still not enough cards revealed to get me excited. Plus you usually dont get that much value from 50 packs anyway....
