A new expansion has been announced, and a joyous time we are about to enter. However, with the annoucement of a new expansion we also restart the never-ending cycle of pre-release, release, and post-release threads on hearthpwn. So, I am going to tell how the next couple of months will be on Hearthpwn *note: there is a ton of variation I can’t account for and this is made for fun, so take this lightly before you start shit-posting.
Pre-release threads/posts:
Of course, people will discuss the new cards. However, if a certain card enforces a hated archetype (especially Priest or an aggressive deck e.g. PW or token druid) we will see a lot of threads/posts about how Blizzard managed to fuck things up again.
The usual: “Is aggro finally dead?!” threads. It is not. It will never die, and it shouldn’t.
Whine about Blizzard neglecting a certain class or a certain archtype. Look forward to “Control warrior is still dead”, “why do Blizzard hate rouges so much?” threads.
Release:
PACK OPENINGS! And all the great topics that goes along with it: “I got 10 legendaries in 2 packs” or “THE PITY TIMER IS BROKEN. I’VE OPENED 100 PACKS AND GOTTEN 2 LEGENDARIES”, “WHAT IS THE PITY TIMER?”. And it is all because Blizzard has rigged the packs to open as few legendaries as possible.
Threads about people who hates other players for playing refined aggro decks against their experimental theorycrafts. “WHY DO PEOPLE STILL PLAY PIRATE WARRIOR?!”
Nerf threads if a card peaks early
Some threads about Blizzard ruining the game… again.
Post-release (approximately two months)
Why haven’t Blizzard nerfed the most dominant class?
This is the worst meta ever.
I might have missed some great topics, and I’d love to be reminded of which it might be. Enjoy the cycle – I know I will. Just a last thing: this might sound negative and all, but it is not. I am guilty in doing several of these things as well.
Live with or not. Btw, I love these kind of topics. It's a strategy card game. There will always be 'up and downs', you can't enjoy all the content, that the Blizzard company bring to you.
Every single expansion included new meta, aggro decks, cancer people.
Take an advice. Try to see this game from a different distance, with different eyes. Forget about every expwnsion releases, every pirates that you hate. Play the game that you used to play. Play it for fun, not for work! If you can't, then quit for a couple of days, play some World of Warcraft or Overwatch.
Have a blessed day!
I think you misunderstood the purpose of this thread. I did not make this topic to complain about any these things (well some of them are quite silly but that's how it is). The topic is simply a heads up about what is to come, and then I hoped to make a few people smile. I am not salty about anything; pirates, aggro decks or whatever you are trying to say. Read the very last sentence I wrote in the thread and the *note. I could have added more obvious disclaimers, a few smileys here and there to make it clearer this was made for fun, but I tried a more subtle approach.
I don't play that much Hearthstone myself. I do quests and play a few decks I like once in a while and that is it.
My favorite part of the pre-release are the folks who go to every card discussion and say that it's unplayable because it's too slow, and is hard-countered by 1 card that a priest might play, and it doesn't fit into the deck they're already playing, and kappa.
You forgot to mention that at each point in the cycle, you will have:
People that say that any and every idea to change anything about the game is the worst idea ever .. because of course, only their ideas are good, all others are shit.
That any deck, no matter how broken it is, is "fine", as long as they play that deck. And that all other decks, no matter how weak or strong they may be, are all broken, because they don't play those decks.
Assuming whatever you say does not correlate to their specific ideas, you will be told to just delete the game, die from cancer, or both.
Everyone (except the person posting) will be a netdecker.
Every deck will be cancer. Every card will be cancer. Every post will be cancer.
I'm sure I missed a few, but they will show themselves soon enough I am sure.

You forgot the endless "should I craft (insert good card here) or (insert other good card here)". Most will have private collections if they have added them at all, and give little to no other information.

Well played, Sir. Well played indeed.
For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
You forgot the: "how much gold did you save for the new expansion?"
Also there will be threads with predictions about how a class will still be unplayable but is actually top tier soon enough.
Not to forget "should I dust my (insert legendary), or will it still be viable?"
Always great to see how 90% of the predictions are wrong anyway. And that is a good thing.
Then there's the solo mission threads (dungeon runs this time)
This space is intentionally blank.

Lots of fun! Already started in fact, lol

The epic fails predictions are the best. :D
Oh... "DK hunter is broken, control hunter finally become a thing." or "Keleseth prince is garbage, 400 dust."
Can i try too ? The fire burn and the water wet.. Wow i'm so clear-sighted
i smiled :D thanks for this topic :DD
Well played Dear sir! :3
I love all the card rankings made by all the streamers.

If you are in your first year of playing please read this post.
Dust does not burn a hole in the jar. Be careful what you craft, especially before and right after a rotation.
