i find this whole line of thought weird, who cares what other people do? That being said, I can't stand people playing stupid homebrew meme decks in casual just for "fun" so i spend all day playing tempo rogue, jade druid and raza priest in casual just to ruin their good time.

There aren't that many options in the poll to describe everyone #feelsbadman!
Grind ladder to 5 and then playtest my own personal meta breakers to legend! :p

Just dont think by changing 1-4 cards youre playing different non meta deck. :)
Just click on "playing my very own decks" if you play some meme creations from Hearthpwn or sth like tier 4 handbuff paladin.
The thing is, unless you are meme-ing it's hard to have completly unique deck. For example when you are building a warlock deck and you start with Bloodreaver Gul'dan, you will add some demons for the synergy and you will usually go for the demons that are good: Abysall Enforcer, Despicable Dreadlord and Voidwalkers. After that you realize that you need some healing and you add Siphon souls and Siphon soul has nice synergy with Medivh and Medivh has nice synergy with Twisting Nether and so on.
Even if you are not netdecking you still end up with deck that is similiar to meta decks, simply because it's hard not to include good cards in your deck.
Agreed, I play around until I understand the current meta, usually with net decks, although not always the common ones (big druid a lot last season) and then I edited the big druid deck to beat the meta mostly by adding more reach. went through rank 1 with 0 losses. This month I'm playing an off the wall raza priest (can't afford to run Kazakus), that has duplicates and about twice the draw of a normal raza deck. It's doing pretty well and I finally started streaking with it. It's a touchy deck that it's easy to make mistakes with so it took a while.
What people who use the word "netdeck" are really saying: "I'd love to play in a competitive environment, but I don't want anyone to use competitive decks."

1. This needed multiple-options to be of any real value as opposed to biased bollocks.
2. 'Meta'-decks are usually varients upon each other and themselves making even 'em "their own decks".
3. If I see a deck played by someone else, then by your logic that makes it a meta deck no matter if it is an aggro freeze mage, a giants shaman or a shadow priest deck.
4. You forgot the option "I don't have a particular style, I just play for fun".
5. Roaming around forums does NOT equate to playing the game thus' ultimately either the poll needs to be changed to "How do you interact with Hearthstone" which makes it near infinitely longer because of (stupid) memes ... or you focus on what folks play on the ladder, arena, casual, brawl, etc.
But to answer your question as it isn't in your poll... I play whatever I find fun to play and don't go down a particular path. I love'd midrange shaman since the classic days of Hearthstone and I didn't all of a sudden play a meta deck come Whispers of the Old Gods and Karazhan, I still played my own version of midrange shaman. This is only one example as I have also been playing since the classic days a number of different shadow-priest decks, evolve shaman using C'Thun-cards without C'Thun and decks targeting meta decks to achive great success on the ladder.
This is completely ignoring as well my casual dive into arena and my takes on the wild ladder and free-to-play account on the US side.
There's A LOT more to how one can 'play' Hearthstone than you have bothered listing here... and it just reeks of "I am biased and wants confirmation but didn't want to post in the mega-salty thread".
if poll was made for multiple choices dont you think it would have been almost equal for every answer?
Also you took it far too serious.
I wrote that if youre playing tier 3,4 deck like giant shaman or buffadin you can select playing non meta decks. I think youve misread that.
If youre playing fun does it mean you cant have fun in neither of above options? Where are you having it then? With innkeeper?
Lastly, I wanted to change the poll answers and title but you cant edit polls if you did not know that.
Chillout and relax, nobody wanted to hurt your feeling nor prove anything. It was for my information Jesus... I am biased? Hhaha youre biased to your shit opinion that its for the salt reason.

GulDan warlock is a meta deck. There is no real way to make it unique although Im not sure how many people play control guldan nowadays - Ive stopped playing constructed. Just like when playing raza and anduin. You go through your deck asap and then kill them with machine gun. Its not the case for treachery warlock where some of your games will be won by discarding your oppoennts hand for instance. But for every other guldan warlock - play guldan and win. No guldan, no win. But TBH whats wrong with playing decks like control guldan? Deck isnt oppresive and its actually fair which cant be told about razakus priest nor jade druid.
Look at some hearthpwn, Brian Kibler, Savjz, Stancifka or Zetalot decks - many of them are capable of reaching rank 5 or even legend. Deck doesnt have to make it to legend or have 60% WR to be good. The fact that your unique deck cant beat tier 1,2 meta decks doesnt mean its bad. Cards quality is just worse. But the deck itself can be very good in terms of how you progress with your gameplan, whether you have correct number of early and late game, if not not too much removals/aoe... Many aspects really.
Also very important thing - players above rank 5 and above make very little of HS active playerbase so why care if you cant reach say rank 5 even. It doesnt matter for most players.
My general MO is to grind ladder to at least Rank 10 each month, sometimes Rank 5 if I have time. Wild or Standard doesn't matter. I pick a non-golden class that generally has a strong Tier 1/2 deck and play that the majority of the month. Otherwise I play decks that help me complete quests and are also non-golden classes. If not those, then I complete quests with my golden heroes in Casual if I've already satisfied everything else.
Using the above method, I usually get to Rank 5 in one format and Rank 10ish in the other. I'm on the cusp of Golden Priest at 390 with Warlock at 325 wins. Golden Pally, Mage and Warrior.
I'm proud to see most of the people here are trying their own decks. We need more diversity on the ladder. The meta will always be stale when too many people flock to only the top tier decks because there will only ever be around 3-4 of those and who enjoys playing against the same 3-4 decks all day?
Rank 5 in wild with my own deck creations and arena runs. The occasional standard or casual game once in awhile, usually after getting rank 5 and if I don't have time for arena runs.
edit: Also, the poll lies, or else all the netdeckers didn't vote :p
Where is the "I hate playing against the same decks with too op cards so I play up to rank 20 and then go to the innkeeper" option?
Do you legitimately have fun playing against the Innkeeper? I think I'd rather face Razakus priest 100 times in a row than play vs the Innkeeper...
Yes, because the Innkeeper is not focused purely on winning, so I can play my own weird decks that make totally no sense. I would play casual, but to be honest all you can find there is even more meta.
That's also why I like these dungeon runs that blizzard wants to implement.
Since it's still early in the month and I loathe this meta I'm playing stuff like N'zoth Dragon Elemental Mage/Casino Mage/Priest at Rank 18 in both Standard and Wild but later in the month, probably the last week of the season if I feel like it,I'll climb to Rank 5 just cause I want to that shiny golden Epic....

I've always liked a challenge so I typically pick a tier 3+ deck that I like at the start of a season and I try to get to legend with it.
