Nothing will ever suck as much as Gadgetzan. This is coming from someone who still feels meh towards this expansion.

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished
I liked gadgetzan I never thought pirate warrior was that bad. It was just the best aggro deck. Mid range shaman pre spirit claw nerf was pretty brutal but after the nerfs the expansion was good. Pre nerf KFT was aweful and now it's still not fun and maybe worse cuz priest just sux. It's not that priest has a high win rate it is just super annoying to play against. The game goes the same almost every time priest does nothing for four turns clears board... Game drags on for ten turns - priest loses or the game drags on for 20 turns priest wins
What is your opinion based on? I know a website where this thread would be deleted as low effort, and although I'm usually very strictly against most moderation overall, I must say that if I was a moderator I would delete this thread.
Power level wise the expansion was the weakest one since TGT, being the first one in five or so to try and fight the power creep.
Bone mare, Cobalt scale bane, death knights, every druid card. How did this expansion fight power creep exactly?
I've had the least amount of fun of any expansion. Even Gadgetzan. Though Gadgetzan cards are the biggest reason for that. Just so many things with poor interaction. Other than Quest Rogue with the wrong match-up, I've never just conceded on turn 1 against a class like I did for a solid month against Priest because it was that un-fun to watch someone draw their cards and not have your decisions matter. That Jade Druid is still a thing 11 months later is disgusting. Lastly would be the neutral cards...Prince, Bonemare, Scalebane. They're just version 1B of Pirates in being just a few cards that manage to make three or four classes feel the same.

It seems characteristic to the expansions with lowest power levels to have the highest power spikes, which is probably intended to quarantee an impact on meta.

No expansion will ever be as utterly terrible as TGT was. I agree that late ungoro had one of if not the best meta ever.

More like the best expansion in recent years. Ruining aggro as control warlock is so satisfying.
