I'm just another one of those. You know, those who do things. Things that need to be done by those that do these things in order to do those things that don't do these things by themselves. Has the word 'things' lost meaning to you already?
There is no question. Undertaker Hunter was by far the worst deck to play against. Undertaker, Coin, Undertaker, Mad Scientist was the most oppressive turn 1, turn 2 combo a player could face.
Midrange Shaman was an EZ 2nd IMHO. It reigned supreme for SOOOOO long!
And yeah, Pirate Warrior was an obnoxious deck as well. Turn 4 GG was so consistent and just plain ridiculous! But Rag needed to be HoFed LOL!!!
Somebody after my heart. Mill Rogue and Flamewalker Tempo Mage (and their variations) have always enfuriated me. The rest you picked were so consistently oppressive that I’d just roll my eyes when I played against them, like “Here we go.” Those decks at least left the meta, while Mill Rogue and Tempo Mage have only recently begun to get killed by nerfs to finally be pushed out of the metas.
Pirate Warrior Undertaker Hunter Big Priest (Resurrect is overpowered imo) Jade Druid And a tie between Aggro Shaman (LoE) and Quest Rogue before nerfs.

This. I got rank 400 something legend with Undertaker and I'm not a great player. I can't usually even get legend at all. However all I had to do was follow the formula:
1. Undertaker
2. Mad Scientist
3. more undertakers and mad scientists or Animal Companion or coin #4
4. Piloted Shredder
5. Sludge Belcher
6. Savanna Highmane
Just the simple fact that under taker could become a 1 mana 2/3 was crazy. The fact that it often became a 1 mana 4/5 and sometimes you had two of them made this start impossible to deal with.
For example, I don't find Jade was a cancer deck even before nerf. It was very popular and strong but to be honest I create my own deck who destroyed them (around 70-80%win) and decent win rate versus other deck. (So I climbed pretty fast.)
What I find cancer is when a class is strong in multiple deck and even more in multiple archetype so you can't really do a counter deck and have trouble to mulligan.
1: Buzzard/unleash hunter, I am specifically thinking about the post naxx version before buzzard was nerfed. This deck was bad, not just because it was strong, but because it completely dominated how you were allowed to play the game. You couldn't really play a deck that went wide, and against hunter playing more than 2-3 minions out at once was asking for trouble.
2: Undertaker hunter, From one good era right to another. Your deck either had an answer to undertaker, or you got steamrolled by a turn 2 yeti. The mirrors ere especially frustrating, because all it really came down to was who drew their undertaker start.
3: Post-KoFT jade druid, This deck was just way too strong. With the additions of malfurion the pestilent and UI, nothing beat them consistently except aggro druid. This era fortunately didn't last very long, but it was a frustrating one.
4: Combo patron warrior, A lot of people remember this deck fondly because of the skill required to play it. The problem was, patron warrior took every slow deck out of the meta. The frothing/patron/warsong OTK essentially worked at any amount of life, through any number of taunts. While that has become more normal now, at the time warrior was the only class capable of doing anything like that, and they drew through their deck extremely quickly while also being able to control the board.
5: Year of the mammoth shaman, Whispers of the old gods was a fantastic metagame with a lot of fun decks, and a little bit too much RNG with yogg. The rest of the year proceeded to ruin it by continuing to push aggro shaman into be a dominant force throughout most of the year. There was nothing especially offensive about the deck, other than tuskarr totemic high-rolls before that was nerfed, it was just too good for far too long. After both karazhan and mean streets, aggro shaman with pirates, jade, and spirit claws was a monstrosity.

1. Big Priest
2. Every Kingsbane deck
3. Mill Rogue
4. "Tempo" Mage
5. Probably Jade or some other Druid
Everybody seems to forget unleash the hounds + starving buzzard hunter...
Huge ROFL to those who consider that evolve shaman was a cancer deck. How can a totally RNG based deck be cancerous? It was never tier 1.

Everyone forget Razakus priest. Clean every turn with Aoe. Heal. Anduin, hero power face, hero power face. End. I still have nightmares.

2. Jade Druid
3. Mech Mage
4. 4 mana 7/7 Shaman
5. Any Priest Deck
Hey guys, it s only my opinion but:
For example, I don't find Jade was a cancer deck even before nerf.
It was very popular and strong but to be honest I create my own deck who destroyed them (around 70-80%win) and decent win rate versus other deck. (So I climbed pretty fast.)

I'll try to give some reasoning for mine

1) prenerf quest Rogue
2) pirate warrior
3) big priest (wow, you are so skilled man coining Barnes at turn 3)
4) secret tempo mage
5) face hunter
