I played Razakus from 15 to legend last month with about a 70% WR. Went from just over 300 wins to golden. That said, I don't think a nerf is appropriate. Look at the pie chart for deck popularity. It's almost even ninths. Do you have any idea how much that says for the healthiness of the meta? Need I remind you that in its prime, Secret Paladin alone took up almost 40% of that chart? Before the recent patch, Druid was in the same boat. Now everyone is playing a bit of everything. While certain decks can seem oppressive, the fact is that every deck has weaknesses and strengths right now, and that is about all we as players can ask for. A rock-paper-scissors matchup might seem like a lottery, but it's much better than knowing you should just concede as soon as you hear "I will fight with honor."
The only reason that priest didnt took up that %40 chart is because the deck is bloody expensive.
It also requires high skill. If you cannot play deck correctly you will just lose a lot more. So yeah too legend players will be good at it and will have high winrate, but mainly because they know what they are doing and probably deck also teched for the meta, so if meta shifts they would adjust while netdeckers don't even know where to start adjusting.
I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or not. If the dependability of a deck is based entirely on an individuals skill level, then nerfing Highlander (which I agree is a difficult deck to play) should not even be a topic of discussion. Jade druid was well within its bounds for a nerf; all that was required to win was for the pilot to play on curve. My knowledge (and, presumably, the knowledge of other effective Highlander players) of what, when, and how to tech should be celebrated, not undermined. Netdeckers who expect to be able to get legend by copying and pasting their deck choices have no place complaining about oppressive decks, especially when the consensus appears to be that those "oppressive decks" are difficult to play effectively. If you ask me, that's how the game should be. I am by no means of the opinion that getting legend should be easy, nor do I believe that unskilled players whose entire meta knowledge is garnered from online forums as opposed to experience and critical analysis have any right whatsoever to propose which cards or which classes are in need of regulatory exacerbation.
"Netdeckers don't even know where to start adjusting." That's really all that needs to be said. Blizzard is not obligated to adjust the foundations of the game so that players who lack skill can progress more easily. If that's how you like to play video games, I'd recommend a title by EA, where you can literally purchase your way to greatness.
TL;DR: Highlander priest being "oppressive" is your fault, not Blizzard's. Git gud.

You are talking like highlander priest is hard to play lol. It is in the same skill level as pirate warrior in my book.
Highlander priest is one of the easier decks. It only seems hard, cause being a singleton deck that relies on a 2 card combo makes it inconsistent af. There's really not much else to do than drawing/stalling there. Nearly no hard decisions.

No, not really.
But I'm sure it can seem that way when you don't understand the consequences of your choices while playing.
Meta stat winrates are bullshit. I downloaded their bot to collect data from my games I played like 30 games with Highlander priest guest what some games I didn't even draw some specific cards and it just labeled my highlander priest as something else and gave different winrates for the games I didn't draw the cards to identify my deck.
^^ Don't call winrates bs just because you dont know how to use data collectors properly...
Blizzard would fix a LOT of their issues if they stopped making cards that reduce the mana cost of things... Allowing players to "go infinite" is a completely broken mechanic.
What is for one player? Total Games: 1545 - no one can do that in 4 days
vicious syndicate keeps much more broad stats and razakus priest isn't even the highest winrate deck type.
70% only vs specific archetypes. I heard in someone’s chat Casie (a very good ((Rouge)) pl“yer) saying;if someone entered Legend at whatever rank and he played 200 games with 70% wr. He would be rank one legend by miles.
Hate to break it to you, but Priest isn't getting nerfed. For one it is not as broken as previous decks like Jade Druid. Also Blizzard stated that they are printing more Late game orientated cards, which should allow other Control classes to better contest Priest because right now Jade Druid, and Control/Mill Warlock are the only main Control decks that can beat Priest, so everyone is playing Tempo Rogue to counter Priest because Priest main weakness is its lack of Tempo and its Highlander nature.
You won't see a Raza Nerf or an Anduin nerf because independent from each other they are not very powerful cards. They are only strong in combination with each other. It is a powerful combo but not Overpowered because it takes 8 turns to get their, requires you to draw them on curve which is harder in a Highlander list and even then doesn't guarantee that you win, but gives you a Huge advantage late game.
Not to mention if you took Priest only deck away that has a Reliable win condition Priest will just shoot back to the Abyss of Tier 3 for another 2-3 years.
All the years they told me when I played against "cancer" decks:
"Tech against them"
Now its my turn to say that
TECH against Priest really its so easy Priest have sooo many weaknesse
This exactly. My Highest win rate is against Hunter and PRIEST at about 72% the last few months. As long as you know the match up Priest is not that hard.
The reason everyone moans and complains is because they don't know the match up because Priest has been irrelevant for years.

Actually it really isn't.. When you tech against something like a pirate warrior, you put some taunts and oozes in your deck and you can be pretty certain it'll improve your win rate against them without really touching the core of your deck. Against quest rogue, playing smart with dirty rats and removals you could significantly slow down their quest completion and reduce the ammo left in their hand once the quest does get completed, even as a control deck.
The only way to 'tech' against highlander priest effectively is to build your entire deck to be fast enough to hopefully race them down if they don't happen to draw the right board clears. Just putting a few 4 attack minions and a few dragons in your deck isn't suddenly going to mess with the priest's game plan.. they're just mild inconveniences that can still be removed, albeit with a few less options.
Here's a hand formula:
[(# of cards in hand +1) x 2] = maximum burst damage after playing Raza/DK
keep in mind Velen, Mind Blast, and Holy Smite.
You want to set up a board state such that they can't afford to go face with their hero power.

This, or simply playing a High tempo deck like Tempo Rogue, and Evolve Shaman to force the Priest into think about dealing with the board or cycling through their Highlander deck for Answers or the combo. But Pressure them in a way that plays around removal like Potion of Madness.
Well it seems like tempo rogue has already taken the top spot from priest, so the priest patch will not likly come. Additionally MSoG will rotate out fairly soon, and blizzard could have nerfed priest in the last patch.

Power level is a contributing factor in what cards get nerfed. If any of the priest cards get nerfed it would be Shadowreaper Anduin, though i do not think it will. However if you need more reasons the deck while fun to play is just not fun to play aganist. It is such a combo deck that it puts card draw in that were almost never seen in decks before to draw the only two cards that really matter, and Blizzard has always been rather anti-combo. Finally, both Raza and Shadowreaper Anduin create ungoing effects that are almost impossible to counter. You cant even dirty rat anduin out of play. If hearthstone had some decent force discard we might have some counterplay, but we don't. If you could take a minute and forget what your favorite class is, you might see what others are talking about.
how do u go face
or put 4 attack minions in ur deck
or make preist burn cards
asking 4 a friend

They do. Silence. Also direct damage, sometimes weapons. Also charge.

Dat whinning about priests . Again
Mit der Dummheit kämpfen Götter selbst vergebens
I'm 7-0 with a Priest deck, that means 100% win rate. Oh noes, NERF PRIEST!!! Ridiculous...
By the way, his win rate now is 56%.
