Hey guys. I m kinda new.. Playing since a couple of months.(i am a budget player do spend sometimes but not alot.) I do own the karazahan adventure and the welcome bundle.
I play mage and hunter most of the time as i have all the necessary class cards required , have the Dk heros for both classes as well (dnt have the quest though). my highest on ladder has been rank 15 before the kft expansion. The thing is i have a few legendaries. many of em i don't use. I do know that its important to not dust cards in order to grow ur collection but i really wana climb up on ranked mode .
Ill give u the list of legendaries that i have right now. Can you guys help me by letting me know whether any of these can be dusted? and whether i should use the dust to strengthen my current decks by crafting certain legendaries like alexstraza or perhaps lich king etc or should i just craft required class cards for other classes to make them more playable like spikeridge steed for paladin, armoursmith for warrior etc?
List of legendaries are:
paladin: dk uther
Priest: Quest card, Prophet velen, Herald Valazj
Rogue: Dk Valeera
Neutral: Moroes, Barnes, The Voraxx, Prince malchezaar,Baron Geddon,The curator, Medivh, Ozruk, Ysera, C'thun.
Also note that i have got the legendaries that were guaranteed within the first 10 pack openings (for all 5 expansions)as per the change in the kft expansion and i have been getting all duplicates when opening kft, classic and u n'goro packs. So at the moment i am getting the other two expansion packs as i am very low on those cards.
any other general tips and advise are most welcome.
My opinion is that only dust legendaries which went to Wild (more than 2 years old cards), which you think you probably will never use. Maybe just practice arena mostly until you build a better card base. I play on multiple accounts to be able to try more decks as a F2P, but it requires probably more time.
Hunter is an excellent f2p class. If you want to get semi-competitive without making investments yet, you should grab yourself some highmanes and stick to this. Don't concern yourself too much with heroes and quests. With the exception of druid, heroes only exist competitively in very expensive decks and synergize with irreplaceable legendaries or epics. Quests are largely outclassed by archtypes spawned in this expansion and some of them were unplayable in the first place

Alex is like DKs, Alex is usually present in expensive mages. Since you don't have antonidas and possiblely other mage cards, I advise against crafting her. Lich king is falling out of favor. It's a decent filler top end for any slower deck though. Steed is an excellent paladin card but paladin also requires legendaries and epics these days. Paladin is also subject to an upcoming nerf so it'll be hard to tell how good it will be. Don't craft armorsmith or any warrior cards. The upcoming nerf to war axe is a huge hit to the class and all archetypes except for pirate warrior (which don't use smiths) were never very competitive in the first place. You can consider crafting a druid. Both types are ultra powerful tier S decks, and cost a medium amount to craft. However, it's getting hit with two card nerfs soon but many people in the community think the nerfs aren't enough to curb the decks

DK Uther is a powerful card in control paladin, which is currently not played in the meta. This card will only be competitive if the next expansions buff control paladin into playability, which is a real possibility. However, even if this does happen, you'll still need cards like Tirion, Tarim, doomsayers etc. If you only care about the immediate future, this card is an easy dust. The same goes for DK Valeera
Velen is seen in the tier 1 Razakus priest, which requires more legendaries and epics than any other decks I've mentioned so far. Good luck if you want to try it
Medivh, Barnes, Curator, Ysera are played in a huge variety of decks and should be kept. Even if you can't afford most of their decks right now, these cards will very likely still be playable by the time you can
Baron Geddon is only played in DK mage, which is currently a tier 3-4 deck that you don't have the cards for
C'thun is played in C'thun decks (duh). They haven't been seen competitively for awhile but are still marginally viable. However, he's only playable if you have his buffers. If you don't open Old God packs, you won't ever get them
Priest Quest, Herald, Moroes, Voraxx, Prince Malchezaar, Ozruk are straight up garbage tier cards that will never see competitive play. Get rid of them
TL;DR Play midrange hunter until the nerfs hit, then ask again. If you're feeling risky/impatient, pick a druid instead

@NightCrawl3r Thank you so much for the quick reply.I am more of a control player.
I agree with ur advise. although I do play dk jaina and barron geddon does help alot if the board has minions. Yea ur right about the other legendaries many use in the deck(I dont have em) but i do play it to climb ladder. Hunter is a very fun deck to play though with the new dk.
As per ur advise to craft a druid deck, Dont u think i should wait to see how the nerfs affect the class(i have played jade druid on a friends account. its too op and i dnt enjoy it that much . However even if i go for it i wud still need like 3 legendaries for it to work right.. Aya, fandrl and the DK).
Also is murloc paladin a viable deck in the current meta. I really fancy that deck . i would be able to craft tarim and tirion by dusting all these legendaries that u mentioned are safe to dust right?. is wickerflame manadatory ?

Of course your goals and what you enjoy in the game matter a lot. Your first post made it sound like you do not mind playing any deck even if it's disliked by the community or OP as long as it climbs fast, so I missunderstood :)
If you don't like jade druid, don't craft it ( Aya is the only big legendary you need though. The DK and Fandral are more like optional tech cards ). Aggro druid is often denounced as being unfun very often, so you might not like it either. But if you were just someone looking to climb, it's great value as a very cheap and powerful deck
As for nerfs, they hitting almost all the top decks. If you want to craft something not being nerfed, you'd have to settle for crafting a tier 2 or 3 deck, which is just as sketchy. Since you asked at a time like this, I just assumed you were ok with crafting decks subject to nerfs. Anyway, I didn't know which one it is so I just gave advice for both options
Murloc paladin is very viable right now, but like druid it is a tier 1 deck that is receiving nerfs. Meanwhile, there are also midrange paladins that contain murlocs (in the community, this deck is called midrange paladin; "murloc paladin" refers to murloc-based aggro paladins ... don't ask me why, I didn't name them). The nerfs hit them less hard. If you wish to play either of these, you only need to craft Tarim and Finja. It also requires a few epics. Tirion is a stellar paladin card but it's not mandatory by any means. I've seen many fast and slow paladins cut him. Wickerflame on the other hand, is only played in the optional corpsetaker package, which is expensive anyway. I would not bother crafting him
It's a shame you joined the game so late. The control decks are extremely expensive and not very effective these days. 2 years ago, you could reach legend with a 1 legendary control priest. I tried to come up with a good cheap control deck I can recommend you now, but couldn't think of anything
I guess if you want to develop your existing mage as control, you can consider crafting Archmage Antonidas. Control mage isn't very good right now but Antonidas is used in about 90% of all mage builds and will almost certainly remain this way in the future
i want to ask you something.should i disenchant blood queen lanathel zhifter zerus 1 golden epic and murloc warleader after nerfed for another legendary? i started playing 3 weeks ago i have like 8 legendaries

@NightCrawl3r No .. Your absolutely right, u didn't misunderstand anything. I was just asking for your opinion on a doubt that i had. I am sorry about that, silly of me.I don't mind playing jade druid if thats what it takes it climb. its just that if i make a deck now after dusting all the legendaries u mentioned, i want it to still be atleast decent after the upcoming changes, thats all cause i wont be able to make a full fledged deck anytime soon after making this one. so just to be sure i just asked you for the paladin one. As i am new and this is the first balance changes coming up since i joined, i want a consistent one. i am not able to put it in words as i want to. Hope u get what i mean.
Don't disenchant anything that might be useful down the road.. And don't impulsively craft crap you think you might like.. Focus on crafting budget decks.. Zoolock is always going to be good, and always cheap
In that case, now might be a bad time to ask what to craft. For now, maybe just make sure you have highmanes and ladder with hunter. Midrange hunter has been reasonable throughout HS's history. After the nerfs, wait a week or two for the meta to settle. The dustables list I posted is still solid though
Here is a useful site for determining which decks are good when that happens
i want to ask you something.should i disenchant blood queen lanathel zhifter zerus 1 golden epic and murloc warleader after nerfed for another legendary? i started playing 3 weeks ago i have like 8 legendaries
Yup, dump those and the weapon. Those are dumpster tier. Make sure to only dust the murloc after the nerf, even if you don't use the dust immediately. Blizzard typically doesn't tell us when the dust refund period ends

so what do i craft.i have golden dk jaina dk malfurion lich king raza malygos sunkeeper tarim. maybe there is a decent budget deck i can disenchant raza and 3 other useless epics. what do you suggest?
so what do i craft.i have golden dk jaina dk malfurion lich king raza malygos sunkeeper tarim. maybe there is a decent budget deck i can disenchant raza and 3 other useless epics. what do you suggest?
All of those legendaries are pretty good and either are seeing play now or will see play in the future. DK Jaina and Raza exist in expensive decks only. You could dust those because you won't be able to afford them now but you may regret it when you gather more dust or open related legendaries months months from now. It's up to you
As for what to dust, I mentioned earlier that the nerfs are coming in and hitting all the tier S and tier 1 decks. If you really want to craft stuff now, you'll have to choose between crafting a deck that isn't that good in the first place and a deck that is great now but might become unplayable after the nerfs
Since you have Tarim, the best paladin legendary, you can try some paladin options
Murloc paladin is getting a nerf to warleader. The majority think this nerf won't hurt the deck very much but they could be wrong. You'll need epics Gentle Megasaur and Vliefin inquisitor. Murloc Warleader can be safely crafted for now because blizzard will give you your dust back when the nerfs hit. The rest of the deck is relatively cheap if you hold the Finja
Aggro paladin is a less powerful aggressive paladin that doesn't contain murlocs, and thus is no way getting nerfed. I believe it's also cheaper if you avoid the corpsetaker versions
Midrange paladin is similar to murloc paladin. Since it's less reliant on murlocs, the nerf hits it less hard and you can drop the Finja more easily. The downside is that you'll need epic primordial drakes in addition to the murloc paladin epics
Don't worry about Tirion. He's not mandatory
Druid is getting hit with 2 nerfs, but none the less it has 2 powerful tier S archetypes that are relatively cheap
Jade druid makes use of your druid DK. You'll need epics ultimate infestation, primordial drake and legendary Aya Blackpaw, who is great in all other jade decks as well. You can throw in your lich king here if you want
Aggro druid requires epics Living Mana and Bittertide Hydra. The legendary Patches the Pirate makes the deck much more powerful and is a worthwhile craft. He has appeared in many top decks since his release and will probably continue to do so
Again, only craft these if you are comfortable with crafting decks that are about to be nerfed. If you're not, play midrange hunter and wait for the meta to settle again
