Here's what (in my humble opinion) would be the best patch ever that hearthstone needs, tell me your thoughts. I'll start with the obvious:
Quests: Get rid of all 40 gold quests, and all quests with "win" in the title. All quests should be "play x amount of x class cards, pirates, murlocs, mechs, spells, dragons, etc." Those are the most fun quests for you as the player to make decks for, they're quick, and lastly they make the game more fun for your opponent because they make you make a dumb deck with stuff like 30 deathrattle cards in it. Forcing players to "win" games to get gold completely screws over new players that cant afford to make "good" decks, and causes a lot more people to "net deck" and cause the ladder to be a more miserable experience. This is the most obvious change they can make and it's bizarre that they went halfway with creating the new quests, but kept the miserable old ones.
Now for balance changes, again, starting with the most obvious leading down to the more controversial ones. Don't worry, EVERY class is going to get screwed by nerfs.
Brrrloc and Glacial Shard: change text to Battlecry: Freeze a character. No clue whatsoever how they screwed this up. This is obviously to make the cards synergize with the new legendary Moorabi. For fucks sake blizzard, they made brrlock and moorabi in the same expansion. There's literally no reason whatsoever to make it enemy only to begin with! Frost Elemental has the right text! This is the most mind boggling idiotic change they made. Their thought process was probably: "oh we should make it enemy only so players can play the cards on an empty board without having to freeze their own guys" YOU CAN FREEZE THE ENEMY HERO TWICE. And make Moorabi cost 5 for pete's sake! Out of all of the BS overpowered cards, they're that terrified of making a 1 of legendary slightly less terrible thats not even that great in a deck specifically built around him with a bunch of crappy freeze shaman cards in it. I have literally not faced 1 single game out of the expansion where my opponent played him. Not one single game! out of like 400. I have seen The Boogeymonster played more.
Stonehill Defender: change health to 3. On top of that, add a couple of new cards to the game. New paladin card: "Azeroth's Greatest Defender": 1 mana 0 1 taunt with "at the start of your turn, destroy this minion". Yep. That will screw with paladin's ability to discover Tirion Fordring which is one of the dumbest things in the game in my opinion. You know back in the day, paladin's ran N'zoth just so they could have TWO tirions! This stupid 1 4 taunt for 3 freaking mana gives them a really high chance to get up to 3, which has happened to me in dozens of games, and has absolutely no catch to it. You can even run it in an aggro paladin deck, it's stupid!
Speaking of stupid paladin shit, *cough* *cough* Sunkeeper Tarim. Remove his taunt. Why on god's green earth does he have taunt!??? the card is already absolutely insane as removal and a board buff and has fantastic stats.
Spikeridged Steed should either cost 7 or give -2 hp to both ends of it. It's way too good of a card as it is and hurts the design space of future cards and paladin deck building.
Now moving to shaman: Doppelgangster: will now become a grimy goons card, and Grimestreet Smuggler will become neutral. Card is way too swingy and frustrating to play against when your opponent gets a lucky Evolve on it.
For warlock: Warlock's in a pretty good place for once now THANK GOD, so they won't get hit that hard. Warlock has been waaaay too good in the past and a little mediocre in Un' GoroDespicable Dreadlord: should just be a little weaker, maybe -1 hp. A little too powerful and auto-included. And for wild mode, reno warlock is way too powerful and has been played way too much in the past so Kazakus is the main issue and should be changed because it's super frustrating to play against. It looks really ugly but there should be some way that he keeps the same text but remove the word "battlecry" from it because it's one of the best battlecries in the game and it shouldn't be on a 4 mana minion because ofBrann Bronzebeard. The 10 mana potion should also be changed so that instead of polymorphing ALL minons, it should do 2 enemy minons, because it's way too punishing against N'zoth decks and it's not even guaranteed that you're going to get it so it's a lot of un-fun, coin flip RNG.
Mage: Mage is fine right now, but would be broken if every class gets nerfed, so Open the Waygate just make it take 7 instead of 6. Kinda get players to put more "bad" cards like Shimmering Tempest into their decks.
Warrior: N'Zoth's First Mate make rusty hook have 2 charges instead of 3. I always thought it was pretty lame when they made this card because I was a big fan of Cursed Blade and first mate is just better in literally every situation and deck. Fire Plume's Heart should be weaker because its really strong and once again, frustrating to play against. It's really miserable losing to taunt warrior because it's all coin flips. So make it take 8 taunts and the weapon cost 4 instead of 3 mana. Idk how strong control warrior would be if everything got nerfed so idk what else would need to be changed. Oh yeah and Sudden Genesis is one of the worst cards ever produced and idk what they even had in mind with this piece of crap, so uhh just make it cost 4 mana for now lol. Oh and Explore Un' Goro should cost 0 and draw you a card if you've already cast 1.
Rogue: rogue's fine now. I lied when i said EVERY class was getting screwed. Yeah, rogue's in a good spot. Fun to play as and against. I can't think of anything that seems broken or unfair. Yeah they can summon a giant edwin, but if you just use removal on it, they get a big punishment and have a dead hand most of the time. There's counterplays for everything they do and they're really weak in the AoE department.
Hunter: Dinomancy: now draws a card and resets your hero power if you already have one active. Hunter is actually underpowered but in a good spot so no need for nerfs.
Priest: oh boy, priest is miserable right now and is super deserving the nerf bat. First off: Obsidian Statue fuck this card! This card deserves to be nerfed to the ground but I'll go easy on it by just changing the deathrattle to "deathrattle: destroy an enemy minion with the lowest attack". God this card is so dumb how swingy and coin-flippy it is and has NOTHING to do with the actual Warcraft lore it's based on. Shadowreaper Anduin: change cost to 9 instead of 8, because it's way too damn good. Drakonid Operative is also one of the most broken cards ever printed so it should be a 4 4 instead, AND there should be a new card created: Dragon Fetus: 1 mana 0 2 dragon with: If this card has at least 20 attack, gain charge. This serves 2 purposes: 1 its actually a kinda cool combo card, and 2: it screws up your Netherspite Historian from ALWAYS getting the stupid operative.
AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST, THE MOMENT YOU'VE BEEN WAITING FOR: DRUID. Literally every druid card in the frozen throne except Gnash is insane and will be around for 2 years so they need to be screwed. Jade has got to go too. It's been played enough, no one likes it. Literally no one likes it. It's an extremely boring mechanic and brainless to play, and frustrating to play against. First off Aya Blackpaw should cost 7 mana. Jade Behemoth should be a 3 5 instead of a 3 6. Jade Idol should've been: "1 mana choose 1: summon a jade golem, or shuffle 2 jade sprouts into your deck." (jade sprout = 1 mana: When you draw this, summon a jade golem and draw a card", much like how Beneath the Grounds worked. Spreading Plague is one of the dumbest and worst card designs ever because it's BETTER than fully clearing your opponent's board most of the time, which is something you usually spent 8 mana on whilst also killing your own board, and this card is 5 mana. It's super dumb because a lot of aggressive minion based decks NEED to flood the board to win vs the heavy tempo of jade druid and this card completely crushes that strategy with 1 card and no drawback. You can't play around plague no matter how many idiots say you can. When im playing my zoo-y deck i should be able to make intelligent plays on how to position my minions and how to spread the damage to play around board clears, not just lose the game because "oh i drew this card and it beats your deck" "oh sorry bro, you should've played around it by keeping 2 little minons on board whilst i slam down 5 5s and 8 drops next turn". 3 solutions i came up with are make it cost more mana or have the scarabs be 1 3s instead of 1 5s, or make it always summon only 2 scarabs, or make it "3 mana: give your opponent's minions deathrattle: summon the scarabs. I mean the card's called "spreading plague" ffs. Crypt Lord should be a 1 5. Malfurion, the Pestulent should cost 8 mana. Living Mana should make it so you gain the empty mana crystals at the END of your next turn, so you have a turn with no mana no matter what. as far as Ultimate Infestation goes: I have a couple of ideas: make it do 1 damage to a minion and summon the ghoul when the minion dies, make it draw less cards, OR make it draw 8 cards instead of 5. Now i know what you're going to say, isn't 8 cards a buff??? No actually, it will almost always make them burn at least 2 cards because of hand sizes and screw them over in the fatigue game. Sadly though, i bet if ALL of these changes happened, druid would still be one of the top 3 best classes because of "big druid" and Jungle Giants with the new cards. It'd be a step in the right direction though.
Lastly, The Lich King is really dumb. It's not as dumb as some of the other stuff in the game, but I hate the design and the cards you get are so ridiculously polarized and swingy. Doom Pact is almost always a blank card that clogs your hand, and Army of the Dead is either a blank card that clogs your hand in every control game, or 6 mana: win the game if you get it in an aggressive midranged deck with a lot of deathrattles. Death and Decay and Death Coil are always amazing to get if you're lucky, and Frostmourne is always either completely worthless if you're behind and broken beyond belief if you're ahead. Idk what they could do to fix this other than flat out removing doom pact, but i think the design sucks.
My opponent played cards! WAHHHH!! Nerf them all! Stupid OP cards, all cards should be terrible! Paladin is too good NERF. Quest Mage, a tier 3 deck is OP NERF IT! Doppelganster is OP NERF IT, IT SAW NO PLAY BUT NOW IT SEES PLAY, NERF.
This is a horrible mindset. Look at ACTUAL PROBLEM CARDS. Spreading Plague, Jade Idol (maybe Ultimate Infestation), Alexstrasza, Gadgetzan Auctineer, Vicious Fledging. These cards are frustrating to play against, or have been in the game as staples for too long. I think Plague and UI and maybe Idol will be changed, nothing more than that.

If you run Stonehill Defender in aggro, you're doing it wrong. Adding a useless paladin taunt to make Stonehill worse is ridiculous. Sometimes they get 3 tirions, but not nearly often enough to complain about it.
Sunkeeper Tarim is a highly situational card that has powerful setups, but the setups are often difficult to achieve. Balanced, but powerful.
Despicable Dreadlord is one of the only cards keeping warlock alive in Standard. Why would you nerf it?
Regarding Kazakus, if they pick a 10 mana polymorph potion to counter your N'Zoth, then they paid 10 mana to counter your 10 mana play. They get a 3/3, you get some sheep. Balanced. And by including Brann in the deck, they have made their deck worse against aggro. Sure it feels bad, but you just have to accept that N'Zoth is weak to reno decks.
Quest Mage is only broken if the meta is mostly control decks, which it isn't and wouldn't be with your proposed changes.
Fire Plume's Heart is NOT really strong. It's pretty darn weak right now actually. Loses to all forms of druid.

Obsidian Statue is only really good when it's pulled out early and rezzed. I think the card is fine. Shadowreaper Anduin is only good with Raza the Chained. If you don't draw them in that order, you're in trouble.
Dragon priest isn't even that powerful of a deck right now in either format. While Drakonid Operative as a standalone card is completely broken, he carries the archetype by himself. Without him, dragon priest wouldn't even be close to viable.

If you don't like The Lich King's variance, don't play him. I've personally been cutting him because he's too unreliable. It feels so strange to suggest a buff considering he's already in tons of popular lists.

i never said moorabi would be playable, i said it would be less bad. Stonehill defender is still in every shaman and paladin deck. and adding 1 spell to xodia mage doesn't destroy it, plus if you read what i said, the only reason id nerf it is because everything else is nerfed and it would be broken if every other deck got nerfed. Evolve shaman isn't ok, just because it isn't the "best" deck, the exact same list is the ONLY shaman deck i have played since the expansion, and there are already a ton of other cards like Saronite Chain Gang and the 4 mana skeleton that completely carry the deck. Your suggested changes would greatly diversify this game and make it enjoyable again. These changes won't occur, but if they did I'd be willing to pay for the next expansion. As we currently stand KOTF is likely to be the last I spend coin on. Will switch F2P or to another card game altogether.
Too much RNG, too many imbalances, too few updates/patches (especially balance changes), too many inconsistencies (Babbling Book, Stonehill Defender, Shimmering Tempest, Swashburglar, etc.), and significantly limited counter-play since so many classes are underpowered

Ridiculous, you are everything wrong with this website. You're basically saying 'every card that is strong, nerf, every card that is weak, nerf'. What happens when you've played with those cards for a weak, you want something else nerfing? Ridiculous. Stonehill is way off what it used to be. Yes druid needs a bit of fixing but jesus give Blizzard more time than 2 days into the expansion like everyone wanted, they'll sort it and they'll give it the nerf they deserve, aside from that everything is absolutely fine. They could retune all of the 'bad' cards but you know what? You can only fit 30 cards into your deck, you must have bad cards and good cards, that is 'balance'. While I think they should "nerf" or change certain cards of every class, you are almost destroying every single class , and I don't think that's the way to go, since most of the cards you mentioned will rotate eventually, I think you should probably think what you post and learn about the game instead of being salty because your opponent played stonehill and got Tirion.

There's only 2 cards I absolutely want nerfed. Stonehill Defender and Bonemare. Bonemare needs a stat buff reduction (Really, +4/4 and taunt? REALLY?). Stonehill Defender needs to not include class cards. Facing 3 Tirion Fordrings is fucking stupid. Living Mana should make it so you gain the empty mana crystals at the END of your next turn, so you have a turn with no mana no matter what. as far as Ultimate Infestation goes: I have a couple of ideas: make it do 1 damage to a minion and summon the ghoul when the minion dies, make it draw less cards, OR make it draw 8 cards instead of 5. Now i know what you're going to say, isn't 8 cards a buff??? No actually, it will almost always make them burn at least 2 cards because of hand sizes and screw them over in the fatigue game. Sadly though, i bet if ALL of these changes happened, druid would still be one of the top 3 best classes because of "big druid" and Jungle Giants with the new cards. It'd be a step in the right direction though.
Lastly, The Lich King is really dumb. It's not as dumb as some of the other stuff in the game, but I hate the design and the cards you get are so ridiculously polarized and swingy. Doom Pact is almost always a blank card that clogs your hand, and Army of the Dead is either a blank card that clogs your hand in every control game, or 6 mana: win the game if you get it in an aggressive midranged deck with a lot of deathrattles. Death and Decay and Death Coil are always amazing to get if you're lucky, and Frostmourne is always either completely worthless if you're behind and broken beyond belief if you're ahead. Idk what they could do to fix this other than flat out removing doom pact, but i think the design sucks.

My opponent played cards! WAHHHH!! Nerf them all! Stupid OP cards, all cards should be terrible! Paladin is too good NERF. Quest Mage, a tier 3 deck is OP NERF IT! Doppelganster is OP NERF IT, IT SAW NO PLAY BUT NOW IT SEES PLAY, NERF.
This is a horrible mindset. Look at ACTUAL PROBLEM CARDS. Spreading Plague, Jade Idol (maybe Ultimate Infestation), Alexstrasza, Gadgetzan Auctineer, Vicious Fledging. These cards are frustrating to play against, or have been in the game as staples for too long. I think Plague and UI and maybe Idol will be changed, nothing more than that.

Although some of your suggested changes would mess with my decks I support your plea. The game is very stale just a couple of weeks out from the expansion.
Your suggested changes would greatly diversify this game and make it enjoyable again. These changes won't occur, but if they did I'd be willing to pay for the next expansion. As we currently stand KOTF is likely to be the last I spend coin on. Will switch F2P or to another card game altogether.
Too much RNG, too many imbalances, too few updates/patches (especially balance changes), too many inconsistencies (Babbling Book, Stonehill Defender, Shimmering Tempest, Swashburglar, etc.), and significantly limited counter-play since so many classes are underpowered

i will say that some cards like despicable dreadlord and doppelgangster should not be nerfed because while they are good, they're some of the few cards keeping heir respective classes viable.

Ridiculous, you are everything wrong with this website. You're basically saying 'every card that is strong, nerf, every card that is weak, nerf'. What happens when you've played with those cards for a weak, you want something else nerfing? Ridiculous. Stonehill is way off what it used to be. Yes druid needs a bit of fixing but jesus give Blizzard more time than 2 days into the expansion like everyone wanted, they'll sort it and they'll give it the nerf they deserve, aside from that everything is absolutely fine. They could retune all of the 'bad' cards but you know what? You can only fit 30 cards into your deck, you must have bad cards and good cards, that is 'balance'. I hope you do never post here again, this place will be better without people like you and your needless complaining.
While I think they should "nerf" or change certain cards of every class, you are almost destroying every single class , and I don't think that's the way to go, since most of the cards you mentioned will rotate eventually, I think you should probably think what you post and learn about the game instead of being salty because your opponent played stonehill and got Tirion.

This has to be like the worst post of the season.
There's only 2 cards I absolutely want nerfed. Stonehill Defender and Bonemare. Bonemare needs a stat buff reduction (Really, +4/4 and taunt? REALLY?). Stonehill Defender needs to not include class cards. Facing 3 Tirion Fordrings is fucking stupid. Outside of these 2 cards everyone else that makes me salty is just me being unreasonable and I get that. THESE 2 CARDS THOUGH are stupid and it's not unreasonable to hate them, it's unreasonable that they exist.

I agree with Brrrloc and Glacial Shard being able to target allies, since there is no reason not to. Never mind Moorabi, it could also be useful to prevent the worst case stealing of a Sylvanas Windrunner dying at the end of your turn / at the start of your opponent's turn. I actually agree with most effects being able to target allies (Execute, Assassinate).
