I'm not a fan of the neutrals we got this expansion, but the DKs certainly went beyond my expectation. And as a Priest main, Eternal Servitude and Obsidian Statue make me very happy. So yeah, I'd say it lived up to the hype.
Blizzard nailed the Lich King boss fight and the hero skin. It's so sick and it was so satisfying beating the Lich King! That said, actual games of hearthstone feel more unfair than the lich king battle thanks to druid innervating turn 1 VF and so on. Blizzard should have killed that shit a long time ago. It's just not fun. Quite frankly, we might have an A+ expansion on our hands if Blizzard just removed druid from the game for the next 3 months.
I really like the expansion and what it offered but some cards I'm not keen on. Bone Mare is completely broken. Everyone complains about jade druid but this card right here on obnoxiously common, especially when coupled with Skelemancer. I don't have a problem with neutral cards being powerful but when they're that good classes start to lose their identity.
I would like to add - in comparison to the previous expansion, where the quests were the side legendary cards, the DKs are designed better and they show greater potential to have a bright future.
Expansion has a ton of potential, because there are a ton of really cool and interesting cards taken in isolation from the meta. The death knights are fantastically designed and all of them have a chance to be really good in future expansions, and there are a lot of cool potential deck architypes lurking, waiting for one more card to push them in to viability.
Unfortunately, the designers of this expansion just made druid a little too powerful, and gave druid a couple of cards that made them be able to completely counter everything else in the game, so all of these interesting and fun mechanics KFT introduced just... isn't quite good enough yet. However, if this expansion shows you anything, its that it really doesn't take much to push a class over the edge, and all that really did it is adding ultimate infestation and spreading plague for druid. It makes me really appreciate how balanced blizzard managed to make Un'goro, and we should give them a ton of credit for that.
Still, the cards themselves for this expansion are cool and interesting. If druid is nerfed in the future, or after the next expansion comes out, there will be KFT cards and architypes that are bad now that will be played in future expansions. I think its still way too early to judge how well this expansion did, I think its going to really show its strength later.
I'd agree with Redwings. There's some truly interesting decks waiting in the wings that just need their chance to shine right now, and I hope we'll soon get to see the variety really open up.
I really like it, especially the adventure ! Some great cards too, the only downside is the actual meta, but I think it will settle down at some point. I created a paladin deck that is so fun to play, Skelemancer is my favorite card of the expansion with Deathstalker Rexxar ! :D
I really like the last 2 expansions and they got right this time what they didn't last time which was make the main theme a winnng theme. Quests never really took off in standard apart from 3 (now down to 2) but the death knights are all really good and most are viable, in that sense it is a real success.
The cards are great although it looks like the meta may have some problems but nothing new there if we are honest.
There have been a lot of interesting cards in KoFT, a lot less pack filler than previous expansions. All classes have at least one deck that performs well (compared to previous expansions where some classes were just unplayable), and the ladder is not crawling with aggro. It's between midrange to control, but not to the point of games ending due to fatigue. As a card game should be.
Pirates are still a thing, but there are more than enough tools to deal with them if you're having trouble.
If they manage to tame Druids, I dare say it would be one of the greatest periods in Hearthstone I've ever seen, if not the best. But they can't sit on this, they need to be quick.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
I loved the DKs, epecially Hunter's, because its effect was something new to me.
I enjoyed the meta because I had my Jade Druid deck stowed away during MSOG and most of UNG: damn Quest Rogue kept my green guys at bay. At least I have some time to let it shine, until they nerf Ultimate Infestation.
Interesting cards (and potential archetypes) as well, too bad they are not suitable (yet) for the meta, such as Treachery, Arfus, freeze Shaman, control Warrior, weapons/deathrattle Rogue (or whatever they were trying to make with Doomerang and Roll the Bones). Maybe the meta evolves to accept those cards/decks.
I've been reading mostly positive things about it so far. Do you guys like it? Hate it?

Much better than Karazhan Party!

It lived up to my expectations because i had no expectations at all. :D
Anyway,i can push controllock to legend once again so it did fine i guess?
The only expectation I had was that the Death Knights would be awesome and they totally are
I love this expansion

When I forget Druid exists, I love it. It made me start playing Warlock again. I missed him.
Hero-wise, this is my favorite one for Warlock.
Un'goro was my favorite for Mage.

I like it!
-Bonemare is strong, and I predicted it.
-Dks are all cool, much better than the quests, all sort of viable.
-Ping- and big priests are new archetypes!
-Druid was already strong, but got a lot stronger for some reason.
-The best decks and counters are changing rapidly!

Here are my two cents:
