I was thinking about that for a long time now and i want to share it with you guys.
I suggest the creation of a new ladder format! The Gladiator Format. Basically a new format (alongside with wild and standard formats) which can be played by 4 people in the same time. More specific to have a 2vs2 battle!! I suggest to have personal mmr ( like world of warcraft arena players) and by the end of each month to receive rewards dependable on our mmr.
One board- 4 players- 2 teams

If you really like the idea i will officially suggest that to blizzard.
It's a good idea. One that we've all had because it's one of the most unoriginal ideas ever.
It could be done but I don't expect it to happen the next few years.
I think the game mode would have to be turn-based (Player A1 -> Player B1 -> Player A2 -> Player B2)
And something would have to be done about the game board.
It would be very, very fun for a brief period of time. Then it would stale and become somewhat fun like the rest of the game. Like Starcraft, Magic and most other games where you have the option to play both 1v1's and multiplayer games.
I would honestly be more interested in a Free-For-All game mode with 3-4 players. That's just a matter of taste.
it's a pretty terrible idea, i've played those in other tcgs and let me tell you, it usually devolves into player teams running two copies the same t1 deck that's in the single ladder format, why?, because there's nothing with more sinergy with your deck than your own deck.
edit: however, and it's a big however, if that was introduced for games with friends only, i wouldn't complain
While I love arena in WoW, I think this playstyle has no place in a cardgame. Like, how would this even work out, could you elaborate more on that?
i prefer to do the logistics later but because you ask for it lets say that every team will be able to use the available manna crystals every turn either playing cards from the one deck, either from the other deck or compine.ie at turn four a rogue+ mage team can play
a 2v2 ladder would be awesome indeed but i doubt it will be done because of possible overpowered card combos. And they would have to take that into consideration for every card they would print in the future.

how about the idea of each team spending the available manna crystals every turn either playing cards from the one deck, either from the other deck or combine.ie at turn four a rogue+ mage team can play:
The concept is awesome for sure. But I wouldn't put it on a ranked mode. If this were to exist, it'll probly take about 2 days until someone finds a broken combo with cards from different classes.

As a tavern brawl it would be the best thing yet.
can start as tavern brawl and if is goes well can think about to make it as a new format alongside with standard and wild

2-headed giant in Magic tcg was kind of fun, but the main inconvenience for this happening in hearthstone is that I don't see a viable solution for 2vs2 that will fit in the mobile versions of the game at all...

i think it's kinda good idea for chess or smth like that, but not this game, for fun only? brawl expirience?
Omnes cinaedi sunt, sed d'Artagnan sum
2v2 is my wish on Hearthstone for some time, but I consider this only for casual matches in principle

What if Blizzard made this game actually balanced first?

Though about it way before you. You just copy. Run a search backwards.
