Playing tons of Rogue, having fun even when I am a very bad Rogue Player! But I am doing my best to learn and I may even go and craft that Van Cleef I am missing.
You choose a really bad period to play rogue. Rogue has never been so bad.
Well for what I recall every expansion rogue players say rogue is bad and every expansion there is a good rogue deck out there (barring Quest oc), it's also a very interesting class to play which is what I look for, I couldn't´t be happier with that aspect of the class, got my Golden Priest and I am trying to master some new classes now.
Still thanks for the input, maybe it is in fact a horrible time to play rogue and that's why it feels so challenging.

Rogue has historically been one of the more challenging class to play and build deck around. MSoG took a while for Rogue to finds its niche and good match up as well as Un'Goro.

I personally hate this meta, to the point of wanting to quit. All the meta decks are boring as **** and any deck that would be fun to play gets hard countered by said decks. Pre-ordering the xpac was a waste of money if this week has been anything to go by.
I can't understand how it is so hard to strike a balance between aggro and control in this game.
How can we go from Pirates to this life steal garbage that is Icecrown.
Every game used to be dead by turn 5. Now it's 15-20 minutes a game.
Boring and such a waste of my money. I guess they got me...again.
Well, it would indeed be possible to balance it out if they would reevaluate the meta say, every two weeks and adjust the cards accordingly. Would keep things fresh. But no, we have to wait up to 6 months for any changes/nerf to be implemented with some weak excuse that they cant implement fast changes because og mobile platforms. Blizzard, one of the mightiest and most influental gaming companies in the world, and theyre telling me they cant even change their own game how they see fit? It always comes down to one reason in these cases. Profit. Pure and simple. Theyve gotten hella greedy. Im not sure Ill spend another dime on their titles, (havent spent any on this exp, had gold saved up). Regarding the broken card design, the only plausible reason I can come up with, is that of pure incompetence of their design team.
5 days into the new expansion and I hate it already.
Jade Druid is the most overpowered and busted deck I've ever seen. I had one on fatigue with zero cards in the deck. He simply played Fandral and within a turn had 7 more Jade Idols in his deck and a full board of massive minions. So much fun!
Priest IS actually fun but not when all you face are mirror matches. Priest is insanely overpowered, too.
Polarizing match ups with every game. Games decided more and more by opening hands. Hearthstone is in dire straights... Yes it's fun to play around at the moment, but when you start trying to climb the ladder come back to me. The rot has set into the meta already.

Because in card games you don't 'balance' between aggro and control. This isn't like Starcraft where Zerg and Terran can have even an attempt at equality in differences. In card games, someone 'wins' in the matchup, which then leads to everyone bandwagoning to that side.
In games like MTG, Aggro is set to beat Control. Instead of trying to 'balance' them, you instead get alternative types to play instead. Originally, that was Combo (thus Aggro < Combo < Control < Aggro) Then came other archetypes that turned the system into a tangled web of matchups.
Essentially, if your archetype is weak to another archetype, you are meant to change to a different archetype.
The problem with HS is establishing other archetypes without the playerbase just labeling it one of the original two (i.e. everyone calling Tempo 'aggro') or an archetype overwhelming everyone (what true combo tends to do).
Blizzard decided to try to give control the tools to actually stand up to aggro. This IS the result. And it'll remain such until Blizzard gives aggro ways to deal with control again which will swap it back to 'dead by turn 5'.
Want proper card balance? Start accepting Tempo, Midrange, and Combo into the fold and start looking for hybrids. And stop pretending that card games can work like strategy games.
Only Rank 10 atm but I find the meta to be pretty diverse mostly 50% Jade/Aggro Druid then 50% every other class. Really glad I've only seen like 2-3 Pirate Warrior decks climbing to 10.
Rank 5 now. Playing miracle rogue, freeze mage and handlock. And no, i dont like current meta because of the enormous number of druids. This expansion druid class is broken imo. In fact, almost the only way i could beat them is their bad card draw. I am very tired of those ramp and jade packages, simply overpowered...
Druid jade cheese vs aggro, and a bit of priest. There are still people who are trying out new things, especially at rank 10, and 5 and that's the best part.
Don't the Hearthstone team play test anything? How could they not see that Druid was completely busted?
It's like they're doing everything from an entertainment perspective. Freeze Shaman, Enrage Warrior etc. They completely forget that Hearthstone players naturally gravitate towards the strongest decks in the meta. It's just not fun if you're losing!
Hard to say but I don't enjoy playing against 80% druid that much but this will probably get better soon. Overall it's a fine expansion so far, the DK's are really interesting to play.

Who can take your trash out? Stomp it down for you? Shake the plastic bag and do the twisty thingy, too?
Enjoying it a lot so far, experimenting with various Warlock control types. Demons are cool :)
+ didn't encounter a single Pirate Warrior on the ladder yet + a lot of fun control matchups, less curvestone, allowing for some really interesting situations + much more Exodia on ladder lol, and beating it is fun :P
I did run into more Druids than usual, and Jade feels tough to beat, but not impossible. It can go either way. I understand that decks that can't "nuke the board" repeatedly might have a lot of problems with Druids though :/
Druidstone, Druids Of Druidcraft. And a few RNG resurrect priests. That's basically the entirety of my matchups.
I was playing reanimator priest the second the expansion hit, went from rank 23-rank 5 within the 1st day without seeing a single mirror. Now I see this deck every so often. What streamer/decklist are people copying from?
Everyone seems to bash on Druid because of how prevalent they are. I don't want to jump to the conclusion just yet, seeing as the early Un'Goro meta has a about the same distribution of stronghold on the top two classes for the opening week (Warrior and Rogue), according to hearthhead. So, I'll wait about 2-3 weeks to see if Druid is still prevalent and whether or not the tech cards can work against it.

you just described the opposite of a 'diverse' meta...

One does not simply walk into Mordor,
unless they want to be the best they can be.

Frozen Throne is my favourite expansion so far out of all of them

Plenty of fun games, but standard is completely overrun by druids. I think it is fairly obvious that some card designs for that class was iffy.
Other than it is cool enough.

Something have to be done in druid or we will see again that terrible meta where one class is Tier 0 and everything else is garbage.
