Mindless and annoying decks like Pirate Warrior and Jade Druid shouldn't be part of this game. They should have never existed. But we must stand together my dear control players, tech against them and send them back to hell. :)
I'm one of those boring players. I just recently became a full stack developer, so I pretty much been coding lately. Basically I dont play as much anymore. Whenever I get the time and get enough coins, I do buy a few packs. I adjust cards and completely stick with the same builds and it's still fun for me.
IMO, people should be allowed to play whatever they enjoy playing, for whatever reason. I understand it's not fun for some players to face these old decks in a new meta, but your opponents don't necessarily care about you having fun. You play what you want, and let them play hat they want. Besides, some new jade variations are quite interesting. No auctioneer anymore, new DK, Ultimate Plague.... cool cards, good emotes.
Come on by and talk **** to me about my horrible misplays.
Nah jk though, been playing since beta. 6900+ ranked wins as well as 8/9 gold portraits. Full collection for competitive cards, can play any top tier or wild deck fairly proficiently.

They are indeed interesting! I'm at rank 2; 74% winrate a jade druid I optimized myself. It has 7-8 cards difference from the "ungoro" jade druids. Most changes were made to counter skulking geist decks. I was really disappointed when next to no one played it against me yesterday but this morning I got to test against 5 jade haters and beat them all
Anyway, this kind of deck 'perfecting' is what I find fun. I intend on making entirely new decks as well but maybe after the meta settles. For now I want to race to find the best jade druid list. There will always be time to make decks no one's thought of before but limited time to fix a deck that everyone is familiar with and probably working on at the same time.
Posts about jade druids and pirate warriors still? Really?
I mean this is seriously getting annoying. How can people still enjoy making the same posts for 10 months without ever stopping? I get bored of the same posts within 5 minutes.
They are ruining the forum. It's getting boring for other posters too. I literally know what they are going to say before they even post it. I just can't comprehend the fact that someone is so salty to be doing the same post every single day for 10 months and still want to complain about it.
I kinda hope we see an increase in pirate warrior over the next few days, a few good fast decks would put a limit on how ridiculously greedy some of these decks are. I like to play control, but it becomes considerably less fun when ever game is decided by how many 8+ mana cards you can shove in your deck.

Posting about jade druids and pirate warriors swarming the ladder, without actually meeting almost any of them on ladder. And people would ask why, for the glory of satan, of course. A novel idea to troll the community.
1) Not everyone has enough dust to craft and try new decks or cards so they play old ones that don't need much refining.
2) They may be just saving dust for some weeks to see what cards are viable and then craft them. So again, they play decks that are already known as good.
Dude i started saving dust like a month and a half before the expansion and i saved around 9000 dust. I had some luck, but even without that luck i would have saved like 6000 to 6500. So i crafted all i wanted and i still have around 3000 dust saved for once the dust settle. I mean i never pre order and i always have dust for all of the shit that i want. Only way you wont have enough dust or enough cards is if you are trying to play as free to play user with all 9 classes!!! And lets face it, you would have to be a special kind of stupid to try and do that. So yeah... To be playing Jade's, Pirate's and that stupid Water package and you have 135 new cards, thats fucking patchetic.
As i've mentioned before i don't have problems with these decks. Today i've went 5-1 against PW and 2-2 against Jade Druid without any tech cards. I just think that they are getting stale and boring. I even played versions of Jade decks in the past. And than i got bored of them and moved onto something more interesting. Right now i'm 3 decks and thinking about making 4th one just from today's card.
Let's just remove expansion completly and all play one deck. That seems like a wonderful idea, doesn't it? The hearthstone community would decrease in matter of minutes. Because it's BOOOORING! Jade Druid is boring! And you know it. Everybody does. People who play it want to kill themselves because they also think it's boring! You are just taking a highground. Which is cool.
I usually agree with that, and don't hate the Pirates and Jades as much as some do. That said, it does seem odd that in a new expansion with all of these shiny new and fun tools many people are still playing the same old deck. That strikes me as dull.
Since you are both making essentially the same argument and same perspective, I am just going to answer the both of yer' at the same time:
The ranked ladder IS a competitive environment... meanning that if we are actually going to be as bluntly honest, if they wanted it to be MEGA competitively - they would ONLY balance it and NEVER update it with any additional cards. This is what we see in real time strategy games and as card games are also a type of strategy games, in this particular circumstance... they would function the same way.
However I do agree that's not what makes it fun for me... but then again, I would NEVER classify myself as a Spike player - a tournament oriented top 10-legend ONLY player. I am more interested in the game from the perspective of that of Brian Kibler and the like where I love fancy stuff and I want to try to have fun whilst still playing to be at an acceptable skill level (for me).
But... if you are gonna aim to be competitive and you have a drive to play the game at the highest level, you don't actually want new cards. That's the real honest truth to it... competitive players HATE new cards because it changes up the format that they play compete in. Mind you... finding real honest to god PURE Spike players would essentially to find an Olympic Athelete in a tiny local convience store that is in the middle of absolutely bloody nowhere and you really only go there because the other nearest one is probably a few (Swedish) miles away. That doesn't happen... even folks like that of Trump is mostly a Spike player but he's definitely not a purist.
So you will find folks that enjoy being competitive and don't care about whatever deck they are playing. Their enjoyment comes from what works, not from what 'could' work... and they have just as equal much of a right to play the game as anyone else and frankly they make the game better. Because these are the people that shine in some aspect, they shine because they go ahead of whatever seems possible in whatever they do - this is not limited to that of Hearthstone, this is the drive of people I am talking about. So... yah', these people do exist.
And most of 'em don't care about new expansions, they care about winning. Something else to note is that ... most people would actually consider these people quite boring because rather than having a preference, they would look at stats and say "This is the best, I am going to master that".
Oh and on a side note regarding Jade Druid... No, its subjective and frankly, if analyzing Jade Idol from a card game personality type... its probably one of the most beloved cards that have ever been printed... or at the very least the actual mechanic of the Jade Golem. To quickly explain what I am saying:
Timmy loves everything big! They wanna play the biggest things around town! If its below a 5/5 then Timmy is not interested.
Johnny loves everything... exciting! To see a Yogg-Saron, Hope's End go off after been fueled by 10-15+ spells cause a massive amazing display... that's a good thing. Also being able to create combos that are exciting and work, its fun because you can only play Jade Idol as your Jade card but you can still grow 'em to absolutely monstrous sizes.
Spike loves everything that nets them that increased winratio. It doesn't matter if its Control Warrior, Pirate Warrior, Burgle Rogue, Jade Druid or anything else. These players love the fact that they can play Jade Druid and be competitive and play big and win bigger.
My theory why folks don't like it...? For the same reason why folks didn't like Shamans during something as early as TGT and the outlash of Pirate Warrior being an actual competitive deck... it was no longer a meme. Druid used to always no matter what happened lose in the late-game and now Druid has a late game. Shaman used to always lose because it was shaman, folks hated warriors all of a sudden from having loved them since the beta because they were no longer playing the same thing...
Memes. Folks hate Jade Druid because of memes being invalidated, I can't actually see a single reason why folks are calling the mechanic 'boring' because... it ends games. Fatigue as mechanic means sitting around and counting numbers 'Do I win or lose' and now you actually have to play the game in order to win, you can't have a passive wincondition because your opponent is just going to punch you to death.
And as adventures have demonstrated, we CAN build decks that clear humongous creatures turn after turn after turn, reaching into the actual thousands of damage dealt killing things. So the actual Jade Golem mechanic itself is not a problem, the impact of the card made the game speed up forcing decks to actually try to win and avoid fatigue as opposed to live in it... neither one of these seem boring. Different for sure, but... boring...? This is why I fundamentally disagree with anyone claiming 'fuck Jade Druid' because it was a good thing for the game, objectively speaking it was.
This guy, right here, he gets it.
Jade druid was healthy for the game. Period. It forced control players to actually think again rather that shooting for fatigue and I'm going to be sad to see it go. Playing control mage most of last expansion getting pitted against a Jade druid was maddening because you already start at a huge disadvantage. But beating them was incredibly exciting.
You are not telling people what to do. everybody to what they want and it is legal to do it right ?
And this is a game after all. and there are Pirate warriors and Jade Druid and Blizzard made it. so you can play it and enjoy it and get to legend with it.
It is in the GAME SOFTWARE don't be children.
I play Aggro I play Control most.
I like them both and ENJOY both if I loose it is OK it is a about 50 50 win lose game.
I actually only started playing Pirate Warrior with the expansion launch (built it a few days before just for this), so I'm not tired of playing it.
I particularly enjoy drinking the tears of players copying the super greedy experimental control lists of some streamers and having no idea how to pilot them. They taste of free, fast gold and ranks.

The more sand has escaped from the hourglass of our life, the clearer we should see through it.
Same old, same old. God forbid there could be newbies, players who didn't pre-order, didn't save huge amounts of gold/dust, recently returned to the game after a long break, aren't interested in playing new decks right from the start or simply like to be competitive regardless of the deck (if it ain't broke, don't fix it) they're using. And even if you did, you're just bringing up lame excuses for having the audacity to ruin MY fun. Damn you!
"The game knows no rules of “honor” or of “cheapness.” The game only knows winning and losing. A common call of the scrub is to cry that the kind of play in which one tries to win at all costs is “boring” or “not fun.“" -Sirlin

I'm here to kick ass and play cards, and I'm all out of ass.
