I mean this is seriously getting wierd. How can people still enjoy playing same deck for 10 months without ever stopping? I play deck for a month and i get bored.
They are ruining the game. It's getting boring for others players as well. I literally know what cards they are going to play before they even draw it. I juts can't comprehend the fact that someone is so deluded to be doing the same thing every single day for 10 months and still enjoy it.
Let me rephrase your question and remove all of the hidden biases in it: "How dare people play decks that they have enjoyed for the last 10 months! I don't like these decks and they should vanish just because I said so! How can people enjoy having fun doing what they are doing for 10 months, I mean... after one month I am bored and head to Hearthpwn to complain about the people who continue to play the decks I have faced this previous month just because I dislike them. How can people be so inconsiderate towards me?!"
...
This has been explained time and time again: Popular decks are popular because folks want to play them, may that be because of faster games, may that be for play-to-game ratio is higher (even tho' the winratio is much lower) or maybe... the intelligent folks are trying to prey on the people who are running unoptimized and unbelivably greedy decks on ladder?
1. If you hate Pirate Warrior so much, include the retardedly-designed Golakka Crawler; and the far more intelligently designed card Tar Creeper.
3. If you hate anything else... think! Figure out what's causing you to lose and then fix your own deck by patching up the holes in it... don't go to forums and whine about it when there's some really easy solutions.
4. If you hate just going up against decks that you do not like, then don't play against other players! Because other players will play what they find enjoyable no matter 'what' it is about those decks that they find enjoyable.
5. If you don't like that folks are playing competitively viable decks on a ranked ladder designed for competitive play, then stop playing on that ladder! Go and play soley against friends where you can go for a friendly competition... and remove any of your friends that disagree with you and find you silly.
As i've mentioned before i don't have problems with these decks. Today i've went 5-1 against PW and 2-2 against Jade Druid without any tech cards. I just think that they are getting stale and boring. I even played versions of Jade decks in the past. And than i got bored of them and moved onto something more interesting. Right now i'm 3 decks and thinking about making 4th one just from today's card.
Let's just remove expansion completly and all play one deck. That seems like a wonderful idea, doesn't it? The hearthstone community would decrease in matter of minutes. Because it's BOOOORING! Jade Druid is boring! And you know it. Everybody does. People who play it want to kill themselves because they also think it's boring! You are just taking a highground. Which is cool.
1) Not everyone has enough dust to craft and try new decks or cards so they play old ones that don't need much refining.
2) They may be just saving dust for some weeks to see what cards are viable and then craft them. So again, they play decks that are already known as good.
Tbh specialy f2p players they might not have enough gold to craft brand new decks, specially if many of them have dropped HS up ubtil the new expansion.
that said, the lifesteal/shieldin seems to counter it pretty well.
I'm 100% F2P, and have 8 legendaries and a whole mess of cards from KFT. All it takes is discipline in not spending your gold and commitment to complete all your daily quests.
Thew first days of a new expansion are the most fun, when weird, experimental decks dominate. We should enjoy it until things settle down in a week or so.

I usually agree with that, and don't hate the Pirates and Jades as much as some do. That said, it does seem odd that in a new expansion with all of these shiny new and fun tools many people are still playing the same old deck. That strikes me as dull.
Blizzard should make a special stream lessons or youtube videos in which they explain the the only way hs should be played is with supa dupa 1000 IQ control/combo homebrewed decks and 30 minutes long match is a minimum time period that proves you're not braindead blah blah something etc.

Lucky you! I paid and opened 83 packs and got about 5 legendaries!
Hate those decks but that is how the meta will form and deck gets refined .
Use existing good decks with some of the new cards . Then people find decks to beat those . The more this goes the more the meta shapes itself with new decks emerging and old one with new cards getting refined .
Running a Highlander DK Priest deck, happy to have used the new anti-Jade Druid card in the deck on an opponent and forced a concede. Played against a Pirate Warrior as well but had some good timing for spirit lash and potion of madness. It is a little weird and annoying to see these old meta decks, but also feels so good to shut them down pretty easily.
Played a token Shaman with Bloodreaver Warlock and Defile absolutely wrecked their entire full board. The card seems really insane so far.
I seen a flood on control on the ladder hence why jade is back. You guys don't tech Against it so free wins. PW eats up JD and new decks that are not refined hence why thats on the ladder
You know when MSOG rotates out I will not miss it at all. Pirate warrior is probably one of the most fastest consistent face decks and Jade Druid just eats slower decks alive. When the meta settles down, decks will become more refined in order to beat those decks, but as a result it means that other classes have to play more aggressively. As long as those decks are around, the meta is pretty much always going to end up being fast.

To be fair, I opened over 120 packs. And two of my legendaries were the 3 and 4 mana princes (the latter of which I actually use). Three deathknights (Druid from the quest, Jaina, and a golden Gul'Dan) and the secret hunter one.
Yeah Pirate Warrior and Jade Druid still work, but really people who are just playing these two decks have no gold? Each of those decks got what, a few cards from Un'Guro, so as long as you login everyday for your quest, you should in theory have some gold....
I agree with you on most points, everyone loves to do something. That's fine. People play Jade Druid and PW to climb. But i have to disagree about Jade Idol card completly changes the mechanics of the game. Mechanics that were same since the launch. It completly removes entire aspect of the control game. Heck we had countless deck that focused on surviving longer than their opponent. And than this card comes along and changes everything. Literally changes the game. People are forced to create aggressive decks to counter the Jades you simply can't outlast them. i can't see how that is good for a game.
And it's ridicolous that on launch day 3 most popular decks were Token Shaman, Jade Druid and Pirate Warrior with slight variations. Changing a card or two (HSreplay data from few hours ago). I'm sorry but i just can't take it seriously. People are so afraid of experimentation that they just stick to one thing that they know. Don't throw f2p thing in my face, i'm f2p as well. You can save up gold, it's not that hard.
I wouldn't mind it if they weren't as popular as they are. Every 2nd game today was against either of those 2. For so long. I guess i'm one of few who find that tiring. I just want game to be more dynamic.

It's good for the game because fatigue decks are just plain boring. The game plan is just remove all of your enemies minions and watch them draw themselves into oblivion. THAT is boring. It's no fun to play against either. I'd rather face a jade druid (Or play one) than have to deal with obnoxious fatigue decks dominating the ladder. Jade druid creates a meta is which all of the deck types kinda duke it out. Aggressive, mid range, and control. Notice how even with jade druid around control decks still top Tier one.
Everyone is still complaining about pirate warrior and Jade druid and I'm over here raging any time I get put up against a paladin.
Both pirate warrior and jade druid got insane cards this expansion, so why wouldn't people want to try them, even if it's a little different? Also, jade druid has a "counter" now. If you hate it so much, why not run this? I only saw a grand total of 1 player over ~60 games play this against me yesterday. It was very surprising

I've been including it in every control deck.. It's pretty useful tech

Sorry, not everyone opened 400 packs today.
And yea, pragmatically it is best time to wreck some weak decks.
Quasi-stellar radio source
Complaining about Jade Druids and Pirate Warriors still? Really?
Pro tip: Tech your decks against decks, against which you have problems. Makes things a lot easier.
Jade druid is hilariously broken right now, of course everyone is playing it. Myself included. Meet the new meta, oh and giest doesn't do anything.

I'm in the 10-5 rankings and am 4-0 up against Jade Druid with N Zoth Priest with Death Knight. Geist and Black Knight reached in.
Jade Druid now has a hard counter...... if and it's a big if you tech solely to beat it

Yea, WTF whinging about people playing competitive decks day one.
I'm playing pirate because it's fast and decently strong with a few new cards... HS has become a cash grab.
Go spend all your dust on legs that might not be good, I am fine tweaking a few decks and going from there.
