Isn't that the case with every expansion though? Most expansions have about 1 in 5 cards that are actually good and see consistent play and another 1 out of the 5 that are alright and see some marginal play and the other 3 out of the 5 are too situational, don't have enough support from existing cards or are plain bad.
This pretty much sums it up. The pros might be wrong about which 20% of the cards are good, but it's usually about that number, more or less. If it isn't, then this expansion is a massive power creep like GvG.

People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
Toast is just angry that he didn't get a card to reveal because Blizzard is currently not too happy with him for leaking stuff and intentionally streaming game exploits. Also, it's worth mentioning that he's making comments like this to get people to talk about him.
Why is this even a post? If Reynad said this people would just say 'Salty Reynad', something has happened recently that is making people think Toast is like a HS god or something? For someone who uses memes instead of skill to be successful I don't think I'll trust his judgment.
Oh man it is not about the single card it is about the entire set you can fail to predict a single card but if you compare expansions you can clearly see level of the expansions.
I am not going to say that EVERY card in KotFT is playable... *Princes*... But I am saying that admonishing the whole set and writing it off as TGT 2.0 is rather short sighted.

It is foolish considering we all laugh at Blizzard over-rating the 'inspire' mechanic, however when it was coming out we all thought it was going to be OP, just like hand buffs. This forum has a lot of very short sighted people who don't have too much card experience (see Gnomeferatu reaction) not that that is a problem, but some of the ridiculous comments have been kinda sad to see. I could not be more hyped for Friday (rip EU)
Yea Yea expansion looks nice i agreed.. but u are all still dead in turn 4
The problem with this mindset is it's not even true. Sure a sick opener from an aggro deck can end a game way too fast, but a sick set of answers can turn it around just as fast for control. I feel like people are really over rating the strength of aggro in the current meta.
Big new control options for the long game that are better than what we have ever had will see play and new decks will emerge. I really don't think the meta will get any faster after this expansion and I don't believe for a second that the current aggressive decks will prevent new cards from seeing play.

I think he did got a card to reveal IIRC and he said he isn't angry about blizzard banning him, Tbh he is very good at finding bugs so idk why blizz is mad at him
Streamers must stream attractive subjects, they have to rate cards nowadays.Because this is what ppl care about right now.Players need solid information which card to dust/craft because resource is limited. This is the reason why card rating "have to" activity by streamers.
When they say "%79,61 of New cards are bad" you don't feel like crafting a card you save it to use your dust for meta. This is less risky both streamers and players.
Yeah they killed my hype too.Oh hey when i am opening my packs i am sure i will "enjoy" it.I am not f2p so screw streamers! xD (i didn't mean offend f2p)
I don't care what they say about new expansions. They suffer from lack of imagination. First, they don't see many possibilities and interactions. Second, they are comparing cards with reference to current meta. They don't have idea about new meta shape.
Toast is a dumbass and an attention seeker, you want real card reviews? Watch reynad. Honestly I can't stand toast and I don't understand how poeple can watch him.
Even though there might not be too many good cards (that's the case with like every expansion), I think the few good cards have the potentiel to be meta defining, cards like defile and corpsetaker.
Well think of it this way. When we lose Wotog Karazan and meanstreets we will essentially have Classic, 2 insane level control sets (Ungoro,KFT) and 2 other sets which will probably be midrangey as well. I don't think blizzard will ever print complete aggro cards ever again. They might make cards that eventually get played in aggro lists, but i think midrange/control and control will dominate the meta for a while. i prefer good games, not "Well Faced"
Blizzard is really talented in making bad cards work/synergize (for example purify or evolve) so i have faith in them that they know what they are doing.
While i agree that the overall power level of cards looks weaker i think A LOT of the cards this expansion were done for future synergies in another expansion. For example look at Deathaxe Punisher , this card has absolutely no place in an expansion with only 2 neutral lifesteal minions right ? purify also wasn't as good until Humongous Razorleaf came around, Drakkari Enchanter is also a card that strikes me as one of these, at the moment we do not have too crazy at the end of your turn combos (unless they heavily considered wild) so i believe this will also be for future synergiees.
And look how the expansion already looks just RIGHT NOW a lot of people know that Auctionmaster Beardo was considered bad and dust, but see how people are already finding new uses and ideas for him with exodia paladin ? The same goes for Burgly Bully while not as bad as beardo it wasn't seen as constucted viable for many people (only in a few mage decks like reno mage in wild)
So i believe that this expansion will give us a lot new synergies to build around with.
We shall see about that. But don't forget Big hearthstone pros or streamers have been saying this about new expansions since GVG. Remember Trump's infamous review of Un'Goro? This is not a new concept at all. All I am saying is do not let the opinions of a bunch of pros or streamers kill your hype, these types of claims about new expansions have been made all the time, a youtuber called zealousdemon even makes fun of how wrong pros or streamers can get about cards.
Dr. Boom ? he is not troggzor so ofc he will not see play, Mysterious Challenger ? you have to fill your deck with useless secrets so he is obviously dust. Grim Patron you would need to build whole deck around him and that will never work.
Hearthstone "pros" were so wrong on sooo many cards, you can't take these card predictions seriously. I can't wait to see " hearthstone streamers were wrong about KFT cards"
I kinda agree. I look at the cards and aside from a couple of DK's and few epics i don't see anything i really want.. maybe some of the cards turn out to be really powerful, like i'm sure 1 1 taunt divine shield will be, but most of the set are really meh. Most class legendaries in particular, not even talking about princes. Theme is cool, Lich King and all that, but actual cards don't live up to high expectations for me. TGT 2.0, few playable cards, rest weak, fillers or arena cards.

For sure.
This Expansion look pretty nice ! ;-)

It's really a defeatist mindset you folks have.
I'm not sure if expansion will be as bad as people are making it out, but i fully expect lifesteal to be a failed mechanic.
Everyone, forge your own destiny let Koft be the expandion that makes more than 4 decks.

What? I'd say more like 90% LUL
But still, better balanced than broken imo.

Just because they are big names in hearthstone, it does not mean there reviews are correct.

Crystal Core ? trash card 1 star out of 5. The Marsh Queen ? META DEFINING 10/10....
