What's up, this is my first post. I was just throwing out the idea (I don't know if this has already been talked about), that the Warlock Deathknight might have some insane discard synergy since they are pushing that deck so hard. My thought would be that the new hero power could be a passive that let's you choose which card to discard. I guess the Deathknight Card will cost alot if this is the case but I was just wondering if this would make discard too op or just make it viable? Thanks for reading :-)
I have no idea what it might be, but Im really glad there are so many people who still appreciate warlock even in the current state it is in. As long as the class gradually improves, I'm sure Guldan will always be fun to play!
Dunno but if you look at the Warlock DK art he clearly holds a Affliction Warlock Weapon =
1). He gets a Siphon Life Skill draining Hp from minions
2). He gets a Dot HeroPower marking minions and dealing damage every round and healing him (sounds weak lol).
If it isnt Afflication Warlock related it should be something to fill up the deck like: When you cast Warlock DK fill your Deck with Cards you discarded: HP whenever you discard a card heal for x life (atleast this would be my approach).
Dunno some of you Guys kinda forget the nature of Discard Warlock
a) If the Warlock DK has high manacost (like 3 or more) drawing it early will most likely discard it (so it needs some sort of 9 mana cost or play it when you discard it).
b) Cuz of High manacost all the Discard Synergy is pointless cuz you most likely have no hand Lategame (so if it has high manacost it will not have effects like: when you discard a card do xx).
10 mana dk in a discard deck will see no play, it will be discarded most of the time. How many threads do we need to create about this? There is warlock section of the forum for that.

To make discard relevant is to make 2-3 cards that have a marginal bonus or make Sense Demons into 1 mana add 2 worthless imps into your hand (that would be a buff for discard) making a card that is 10 mana discard synergy is a dead card in curve.
hero power instead of discarding whenever you would discard a card instead draw a card. passive.
That would make it good for multiple ends of the lock stream since youd spend probably at a bit of health on digging + early game damage but im doubting it.
Now fellas bear with me for a sec. We know warlock lego will be 10 mana, thats really huge right? Assuming they'll implement discard mechanic even more, I thought of the final and true solution: eliminate the discard mechanic!
By the time its turn 10, you probably burned and drew half of your deck - stuck with a hand that has two or less cards. You pop this badboy in, survive for another turn with a possibly weak battlecry and voila - your Soulfire doesn't discard your Doomguard anymore! Finally a winstate for disco warlock.
We know it's 10 mana and 5 armor. I think battlecry can be similar to N'Zoth, something like 'Summon minions that you discarded this game.' and I really hope for 'Can't be discarded.' text as well.
we know it's 10 mana from the mage dk leak, I don't think it has something to do with discard sinse it can also be discarded and a discard deck is an aggro deck so it won't play a 10 mana card
I think it most likely has something to do with healing, like a battlecry: deal 5 damage to all minions and heal for that much damage dealt, and a passive hero power: for every card played, heal your hero equal to its cost

Amen. I am getting tired of people speculating that it is discard based. Sure blizzard has hammered discard to the point of oblivion. But we as the players have the power to change this game with our opinions and critique.

I have simmilar thoughts

Thanks for thanking me for reading your thanks message :))))) It's not like I entered this thread willingly so you have to thank me for it.
On a serious note, I think you are right. Either that or "add a card you discarded this game to your hand".
How much topics like this are you gonna create?
No, the DK won't have anything to do with the discards.
Just wait one fcking day, please.

I saw spoiler when i saw new mage hero, it should be 10 mana card, so it's gonna be something huge!

Haha, sorry. I'm new to the forums and haven't been searching around :-) I'm just too excited to wait and I like to see other peoples ideas! ;-)
This is very true, was quite dissapointed by the push they made with freeze and then not really giving a solid base for it to work.
Yeah Warlock isn't that strong now. I like playing Kazakus Zoo rn though :-) Hoping I can make some sort of mill deck in KOTFT
Hm thats' quite cool too I guess! :-)
6 mana 5 armor
Battle Cry gain 8 health
