What about Teron Gorefiend? Okay he's a deathknight but originally a warlock
So, the chances of him being introduced in the game as an alternative warlock hero are high, since it seems that there is no other notable warlock in the lore that is not in the game yet. But ok, I know, this is Team 5, they will probably introduce a murloc from nowhere as an skin for the warlock class instead of him. :P But don't misunderstand me, I like Morgl the Oracle (I like murlocs in general), it's just that it's a bit weird for me that a murloc created by Team 5 is the only alternative shaman hero in the game. Like really, wtf...
Insofar as blizz likes to do more 'warcraft adjacent' sets like Un'goro and Old Gods (f*ck MSOG), I think a weird sort of Sunwell themed set would be pretty fun as a concept. Something like One Night in Karazan, but without the obnoxiousness that was the 'woo party' theme.
I believe there should be many more alternate heroes in the game, at least 4-5 for each class. Warcraft is now a very well expanded universe, they have plenty of options and it costs them very little to make an an animated .gif with a few .wav sounds.
You could say "ah, but they are saving them to be legendary minions", we have Medivh as a hero and as a minion, and plenty of adventure bosses eg. Kel'Thuzad who have a minion and a hero form.
I love Hearthstone, I don't complain about much in this game, but the fact that after 3 years Druid and Warlock still have only their default heroes is nothing short than lacklustre.
It adds more flavour to the game! I for one am more looking forward to the playable Arthas hero than any of KFT's legendary minions.

Yeah, I agree, it is just that Team 5 are nothing else than a bunch of lazy bastards.
Kael'thas was the original Mage hero (Dev version), but it was changed to Jaina.
Wow, didn't know about that. Thanks for the info. :)
Same for me man, I knew about Edwin. But not about Kael'thas. Oh the fun times. Solo runs of Heroic Magisters' Terrace and Tempest Keep. I still remember all the lines from Magisters' Terrace as I did that dungeon exactly 68 times till I got the mount Swift White Hawkstrider, not including normal runs which I did of course a few times during my levelling experience. Maan I'm so feeling like subscribing to WoW because of this post. I would love to see Kael'thas in the next expansion and I think Burning Crusade or an Outlandish theme with demons and a new Illidan Stormrage would be pretty amazing to be honest.
I'm waiting for a new Illidan Stormrage too, that guy deserves a much better card (I know it was different during Alpha and was changed).
Kael stopped being a main character when he pledged allegiance to Illidan and then Kil'jaeden.
Always the servant of a master. Never a champion or a chosen one (too bad!).
That's why you can't build an expansion around him.
He could appear in Outland/Sunwell tho.
Really? Did you already forget about Kel'Thuzad and the Naxxramas adventure?
Tempest Keep is by no means as CULT as Naxxramas. There is a huge difference between the two.
And Sunwell is commanded by Kil'jaeden, Kael being his servant.
I really liked Kael at first. But as things developed, there's no room for him as a protagonist of something. A wing boss at most.
Instead, I could very well see him as an alternate hero for either Mage or Warlock (depending on which Kael you take). I'd love that actually, and it doesn't need him being a pivotal character.
If one can consider Knights as a fanservice expansion for those who liked Wrath of the Lich King the most, I personally would be extremely happy to see something similar related to the favorite expansion of mine, namely The Burning Crusade. With Kael included, of course

Why do you think an expansion with Kael'thas must be based on a raid in WoW? They can just create a new history for this elf and make him the main antagonist, as simple as that.

Yeah, it could be fun too. I just want Kael'thas in the game, that is all. :P
There's Nerzhul? I always thought he'd be great as the warlock skin.

The original warlock heroes were Cho'gall and Wilfred Fizzlebang, but then the winner was Gul'dan.

2 years later, you finally got your wish
And I didn't cause I'm on mobile
Yeah, it was about time, hehe. :P Already played some games with him. ;)
