The cards that are being revealed are very control oriented, which is great, but they will be useless unless the jade idol+gadgetzan auctioneer advantage against control is dealt with.
It's not impossible to win using control against jade druid, but let's all agree that you will need huge amounts of RNG.
I think Team 5 is really going to work towards giving Druid some other options aside from Jade. It failed in Un'goro, but it's looking like a new ramp archetype might exist without Jades. If a new Jadeless Druid exists that beats aggro and doesn't suck against control, Druids will swap to that. That is, IMO, about as good as killing Jade permanently.
Additionally, cards like Dead Man's Hand and Archbishop Benedictus look like they will help control classes with fatigue. If you're a warrior, you can get some extra brawls for the late game and just really hurt Jade. If you're Priest, you can steal Jade Idol and put the pressure against them. I won't deal in absolutes, but it at least appears that Jade Druid will fall in popularity in KotFZ

Thank you, sir. The amount of draw rng that goes into having game against Jade Druid as control is frankly unfun even if the game is winnable (though CERTAINLY not favored). Also, I genuinely wonder what kind of design they have in mind that could possibly counter a deck that can potentially reload multiple 10/10+ every turn forever. Whatever it is I hope A: that it works, and B: that it's not a repeat of the Eater of Secrets overly niche tech design.
Yeah, it's auctioneers fault for drawing 3 to 4 cards. Not the 1 mana spell that simultaneously allows you to beat fatigue and summon ever growing minions. It's auctioneers fault that card exists. *rolls eyes*
Funny how we don't have threads complaining about auctioneer being in jade rogue every week. Gee, I wonder why. It's almost like it's not a busted card. It's almost like the jade idol is broken.

I clicked the link and that is interesting... maybe a card tonight?
Any counter to Jade would out value any other control deck as well. Only way to counter is to rotate Auctioneer to wild.

Haven't played this game for a while cause of jade idol.
i don't like to play metas where there are automatic losses.terrible design.
Or, and I know this is going sound crazy. Nerf Jade Idol so it can't go infinite. Crazy right?
I think we should be able to silence jades, play a 11/11 jade silence it to a 1/1, It will give you enough tempo to create a board and apply pressure.
9 mana. Legendary neutral.
5/5
"Battlecry: Discover a card from your opponents deck and silence all copies of it anywhere."
Realistically......is this balanced or no? Is it unique and useful? But not too strong?
As an inspiring card creator....I would really like to hear.
change the choose one option to say that you shuffle in one copy of jade idol (or a jade token) instead of shuffle in 3
The 10 mana spell is supposed to be the answer, as it enables other druid deck to include Jade Idol once they go fatigue. Wait a minute...

Maybe a discover card that lets you remove one card in your opponents deck and all of it's copies (Edit: in the deck and hand)?
I guess too strong, because it would be really good against other decks too and is not just a tech against Idol.
8 mana neutral legendary
4/5 Battlecry: Choose a minion, whenever that minion is played or summoned it'll be destroyed.
This won't kill existing minions on the board but minions played later. Just my idea.
10 mana 1/1 battlecry: If your opponent has a minion with the same name gain 20/20
That's literally something we need here. Like a legendary
Just remember the good times!
Imagine this change to the card.
Change the cost to 0, then remove the choose one, making it so you always summon a free Jade Golem to your deck without the ability of going infinite.
What do you think?
We are throwing ideas around now? Simple:
