So, now that Thrall, Deathseer is in, has anyone's expectations for the Hero cards changed? For me, Thrall shows an alternative I hadn't considered: the Battlecry being the strong bit and the Hero Power providing minor value for the rest of the game (IMO, the Hero Power is gonna lead to a lot more Bomb Squad and Moat Lurker play, which is neat).

I don't understand why so many people are disappointed with underwhelming/bad class legendaries. For 4 months, people have been bitching about how so many legendaries and epics they needed to craft in Un'goro and how Blizzard hates f2p players. Bad class legendaries means less dust needed to craft competitive cards. The legendaries so far have very cool and unique effects that aren't too powerful, and that's the way it needs to be.
dude Bolvar, Fireblood is gonna be a good legendary lol. i've been playing a divine shield deck on ladder (yup, at 15-10 who cares) and it's been tearing it up. I'm 100% positive that I'm going to slot Bolvar, Fireblood in here somewhere and he will only make the deck better. Then I'll have a deck with all five Paladin legendaries in it lol.
Well. Let me rephrase. Almost 45 seasons now, aggro and midrange is a dominant force. Tier 1 decks are those who set the pace by controlling the board. A 5 cost minion with no impact in the board unless it's buffed with Steed, is a bad deal, especially if all the card it synergizes are aggro oriented.
DS paladin needs to be very fast, in order to get value from Divine Favor. Bolvar, is completely out of paladin context.
Edit: Also, everyone cares about what rank you refer to. If by the end of the season you hover at 15-10, then probably you are facing a very unique meta. Now if you refer to Bolvar being a good legendary for your deck, then that's something different.
I feel the devs are mostly straying away from the concept of legendary cards as game-changers/heavy-hiters, to embrace the more gimmicky/whimsicle approach that cards like Cho embody. Wether or not it is a good thing is entirely up to debate, and I do agree it tends to spoil the hype (wow players, I'm sure, are very fond of seeing familiar faces added to the game, and the fact they are mostly weak comes as a bit of a blow) but I fail to really grasp how this spoils the XPAC entirely. I know this is not the main argument here, but it seems some tend to judge the potential value of KFT solely by adressing the general weakness of these class legendaries (not to mention the neutral ones).
Don't get me wrong, I love me some strong legendary once in a while, and as it has been mentionned previously, Un Goro brought its fair share of top tier legs, but as far as I know, KFT will be impactful through the mechanics it introduced to the meta (lifesteal, and so on) rather than trough a bunch of legendary cards, that happen to be seemingly weak.
I'm looking forward to see the warrior legendary and the remaining two neutral cards, somehow hoping they will raise the hype a little.
Would make a multiple choice poll I think the hunter and paladin legendaries are quite decent both make it into existing decks that need further support to work! (DS aggro paladin and secret hunter) with further support those decks might shine, ATM I can see the DS paladin working with the revealed cards so far.
Also aa lot of stuff look bad on paper (lyra or quest rogue for example) and end up being meta defining, while others (druid quest or hunter quest for example) seem insane at first glace but aren't even worth looking at or experimenting anything.
I think the community as usual will get a critical card out of the radar which will dominate the meta while it's rating would be below 40
Lot of people are sleeping on how good the paladin legendary is but overall as a F2P player I am happy with the legendaries being bad cuz I really struggled with ungoro deciding what to use a limited dust collection on with so many good options
I do hope that the Warlock death knight is good. Warlock hasn't gotten a good legendary since Lord Jaraxxus. Mal'Ganis was only good because of Voidcaller.
Unless you count Kazakus as a warlock legendary. He was 1/3 a Warlock legendary :P
Mal'Ganis is fuckin strong with Krul the Unshackled, which is a very underrated legendary. Playing Renolock in Wild with Krul and Mal'Ganis allows you to win against Jade Druid most of the time (unless they draw the nuts) It's seriously hard to full clear a Krul board. The only classes that can do that reliably are Warlock and Warrior. Or decks with Deathwing.

Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!

Best one is Hunter yet it is mediocre. Seriously team 5 doesn't know how to create a legendary.
