If you are looking to dish out some classic BM during the midsummer fire festival, Alleria Windrunner's 'hello' is awesome. Drop Animal Companion and get Huffer - emote hello. Good topdeck - emote hello. They fail to play around your trap - emote hello. Win - emote hello. Just classic fun.

I always use TY emote whenever we have a good game as the compliment, not as an insult. I think it's kinda like where your perspective falls on how you interpret the meaning.
what if he just wanted to congrat, or talk about the match? Sometimes really cool games deserve some comments!
I had that a couple of times in the beginning but recently everyone I accepted just insulted me or called me a noob for playing a certain deck/class. If somebody would send a request after a long and intense match with mutual "well played" at the end, I would accept and see whats coming but that has not happen for quiet a while.

There are people that I have a funny emote war against, they say That's incredible when I wipe their board or drop Tirion, or say ''that was a mistake'' etc. Those are the kind of people I like to emote, or get emoted. It won't even bother me if they say Well played in the end because I realised that they mean it. Or after a long control vs control game I always say well played in the end, even if I win or lose, and I also add them to tell them how I enjoyed the game.
What screws the experience though are some people with behavior of a 10 year old, that spam ''thank you'' or ''well played'' when they topdeck lethal, or have lethal on board, start trading with minions instead of getting lethal, show of their cards instead of just killing you, or get a windfury on all murlocs and say thank you etc. And not only that they rub their win on your face that they won. I mean, who would do that in real life? Would you do that against your opponent at a chess game or a futball game if you won him? Ofc you will be happy, no need to rub it on his face and call him loser etc. The reason that this is a thing in HS is because all of us are anonymous, but almost all of my friends in my friend list are people that I have added or added me to talk about the match, and they seemed to be nice and decent people to keep us friends.
Wow the amount of arrogance in this topic is astounding. You think you know someone is being bm and assume the worst and attack them for it? That makes you so so much worse. And to call thank you bm... if all they said to you was thank you at the end of a match then assume they're being polite and move on. If you're pretty sure someone is being a jerk than realize they're probably salty or immature, just move on.
Maybe it's cuz i come from a MtG background, but i would never assume someone saying thank you is being a jerk. If people would stop getting so worked up over literally nothing this world would be in such a better place. But no, continue freaking out over some perceived slight and acting like you are somehow the mature person. Only on the internet man, it's mind bottling.
I think of it as them taking a bow and saying thank you. I don't care cause 99% of the time they won because they got god draws, top deck the only card that could beat me at the exact time they needed it, or my draw was horrible. Very rarely is it anything else so meh.
I couldn't care less honestly, I do it from time to time when there is a good match or when they clearly fucked up, I like to joke and if they don't get it cause they don't have tolerance to frustration that's on them.
When people emote a lot to me as in mocking me I also take it likely, that happens a lot in competitive sports and is all funny and tilti if you just can use that in the right way.
I get why people get upset about it, it can get frustrating if you aren't feeling great, but that is more a personal problem than anything to do with a video game or your opponent.
I don't squelch at the start of the game. I tend to squelch cancerous decks if I feel I am nearing a loss, though. 90% of HS's cunts play cancer decks, so nothing better can be expected of them.
The emote isn't half as insulting as the smug should-have-been-swallowed retard behind the deck actually thinking he is worth anything at all because of whatever BS deck he is using.
Can't say I get mad if some weird-ass dragon/menagerie druid that stole my hero power and upgraded it with Justicar Trueheart thanks me after somehow beating my deck, even if he drew godly.
Manners might maketh man, but decks maketh emotes too.
Also, I have no idea about this whole Thanks = GG stuff some of you have been mentioned. The only time I've seen someone thanking me while losing was when I gave them a Well Played (which wasn't any more fitting than a WP back, IMO)

Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished

Don't. Give. A. Fuck.
Top deck is cheat

I feel nothing. Its a random card game for children after all.
What would be great (and its so hard for a small indie company to implement) is one simple global mute button in settings.
I never accept friend requests from recent games. They can keep their baby-rage to themselves luuuul

FOR THE HORDE!
I add only after we had a good match, doesn't matter if I win or lose.
I like congratulating opponents that have a good strategy or play interesting decks,
Many times there's rage in the other person... that's so sad

I squelch all opponents when the game starts.
did you ask why he acted and emoted stupidly?

I usually do greetings and then I squelch people lol. I do emote like a bitch when I'm tilted though.
I squelch everyone at the start, hoping Blizzard whould put out an "auto-squelch" option somedays.
For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
