I was playing priest against a secret mage. Have nice board control, and ended up with a Mirror Entity from one of those steal/copy effects. Like a jerk I play it. He plays that DoomsayerFrost Nova combo. No big deal; I was saving a Silence and Shadow Word: Pain for just this eventuality.
What I wasn't prepared for was the Mirror Entity to create my own Doomsayer which cleared the board at the start of MY turn. Somehow, I managed this feat twice in two separate games.
Most fun missplay I remember was a while ago. Was playing some janky control-ish priest. Stole opponent's Grommash Hellscream with Mind Control . At one moment I calculated lethal and was pretty happy. Did it, but was like 5 off. Was wondering for a long time, but then I remembered — I used Circle of Healing in that process (to buff some minions that got buffed with healing, forgot the name). It healed Grom to full health and I attacked with him after using Circle...
When I misplay, it's usually because I am either playing too fast or not paying attention to random effects (like minions that come from Maelstorm) etc. Sometimes I make stupid plays when I'm tired, but then it's usually last game of HS for me that day.
the right move was blade flurry then ass blade prep oil hit face then blade flurry i hit his face then ass blade got broken so i couldn't be able to blade flurry twice
Still to this day I face so many shamans that lightning storm first, hit 3 damage, then roll spell damage totem... It's tilting enough when they roll spell damage totem when they need it, but to hit 3 damage on storm and then roll the totem... Oh man it just angers me... Hero Power order seems to be a consistent miss for many plays heh?
It's not always a misplay. If the shaman has maelstrom portal in hand, he might wanna go storm into maelstrom if he didn't high roll. If he did, then he keeps the maelstrom and can hero power.
On topic, I once conceded as a quest priest dropped his Amara. The thing is, I was playing quest mage and had 4 giants on the board. I don't recall what I had in hand, but I definitely still had a shot. There's probably some other misplay somewhere that led me to have 4 giants on board with no timewarp to make them connect with face...
Well what happened in former patches is different of course. All I'm saying is, with the current cards, it's not unusual that the hero power coming after the storm is the correct play.
Now how often the weird order is actually a correct play is a different matter. I'd say it's probably a misplay most of the time. Just not always >_>
Playing wild freeze mage against quest priest. I have alex in hand but can't play her because he is holding amara. Have otk 38 burn with evolved kobold but need emperor discount on combo. Didn't count my cards, topdeck emperor and mill him. "My magic will tear you apart" #concedelife
Got matched against him 2 game later, didn't make the same mistake and won
In the Old Gods format, I was playing a Reno mill rogue against some kind of mid pally. I get him down to two turn lethal and he plays Tirion. Well, bud, suck for you, because now I have three of them. I play gang-up, and poke the Tirion in the face with my dagger, and emote to him before roping my turn- because I was going to be rich. But as it turns out, I was rich in a different way. A pile of very rude and vindictive Tirions (Tirion? Tirii? Tiriise?).

That sucks. Don't worry about Amara though. The Kobold Freeze Mage has a Max of 22 damage without Thaurissan tick, 44 damage with 1 Thaurissan tick and 62 damage with 2 Thaurissan ticks, so you can play Alexstrazsa. For the 44 damage you need to have Kobold, Thalnos, 2 FrostBolts, 2 Ice Lances and 2 Roaring Torchs when you play Thaurissan. This would be hard against most classes, but Priests don't really apply that much pressure so you can draw your whole deck in the matches.
Yeah, I figured that a few weeks later when freeze mage almost got me as midrange warrior who stacked armor every single turn (never drew my executes for his doomsayers). I got lucky he had 50/50 chance to draw his roaring torch for lethal. I had burned my thalnos already with a flamestrike to wipe his board earlier
TBH? You deserved it a thousand time cause of that retarded bming you mentioned.
This is not the salt thread; The title of the thread is "Shame Yourself", obviously everyone who shares their awful misplays deserves the punishment likely delivered by their opponent. No need for such a redundant comment.

I see, I just don't run Flamestrikes I have more card draw because the Kobold list is more aboout burning the opponent than fully controlling the board.
I kept flamestrike but actually pulled out the fireballs. I use torch with otk combo anyways. Currently running arcanologist and scientist, but maybe just straight card draw would be better than secrets with arcanologist. I find flamestrike to be useful since I generally need turn 10 anyways to pull off combo after emperor and a big wipe helps me get there fairly often. Thought about pulling alex, already removed antonidas, but alex is a little more versatile and allows me to just play standard 15 damage burn instead of 30 which happens vs aggro
So I've played a lot of Reno Rogue back in the days. you know the fancy type with Youthful Brewmaster, Shadowstep and Gang Up. You play several Renos per game and you win somewhere. Some of these had Blade of C'Thun as a win condition, some as N'Zoth, the Corruptor. I'm not actually sure which version these games were.
First game: I'm playing against a mage and doing great. I'm at low hp, I have all my key cards. My opoonent only has a few cards and used up a lot of burn already. I kill my opponents 6/3 with a backstab and my dagger then I play Reno, Gang Up and Shadowstep. Because it's so cool. My opponent play Alex on my face and kills me the tuirn after with Alex, fireball (discovered from his Conjurer) and a ping. Because not only did I manage to disactivate my Reno, but by shadowstepping it I also ensured that I didn't have the board presence to get rid of the Alex (if I did, I still win).
Second game: I'm playing against some sort of tempo based priest deck. I did the same as above: Reno, Gang Up, Shadowstep. If I left my unchallenged Reno on the board, the Priest could never taken the board back. Turns out he did manage to develop on the empty board then pressure me out of the game before I drew two of my Renos and I just died. I think this latter one must have been the N'Zoth version. I never got to play him.

Yeah, that kinda sucks, personally I never liked using Gang Up on my Reno Rogue decks, knowing how hard it would be to activate the following Renos never felts like a good idea
Same. Reno nzoth with cairne, raptor, brann and shadowcaster is plenty of greed. If you want to try your luck you can add a xaril and hope for bounce back poison. Played N'Zoth 4 times 1 game vs renolock. Easy win
I was going to play a Sacrificial Pact in a Warlock mirror match back in the day, but decided after I had selected the card that I wanted to attack first with Blood Fury (I was playing as Lord Jaraxxus). End result: I SacPacted my own damn face trying to return the card to my hand. Oopsie poopsie.

Yes well I did remove Gang Up after that. :)

Forgive me, friend. I have failed.
I milled my Mage Quest reward yesterday. I mistakenly played my Ungoro pack spell and fucked up my counting.
I was gonna lose anyway, no doubt about it, but for fuck's sake.
