Hearthpwn

I know it is still very early, but I'm curious if there are others like me who have gone ahead and started saving up in preparation for the expansion. I would imagine the only people doing this would be f2p or people obsessed with hearthstone, but still my curiosity has gotten the better of me.

Yep I have about 3300 gold saved so far.  I play about enough for 5 -10 wins per day and complete daily quests.  I then preorder the expansion for the discount and use the rest of my gold to buy packs.  I did this last expansion and ended up with 115 packs or so and did pretty well with luck so got almost every card I wanted.  With the extra dust from HoF I've crafted about every card I have interest in using and have 3500 dust left.

I am saving, first time saving, I bought 110 packs last launch and plan to open about the same amount next expansion,have 3850 gold right now, I may even go ahead and buy 110 packs again if the expansion looks cool.

I am still lacking some cool cards like Sherazin and Pyros that I would like to craft, so saving plus cash will do wonders for me!

I have been. May as well start. I did do a heroic brawl though.

I pre-order packs and spend gold on them on launch day. I'm at 3k gold atm.

always the same : I will have like 7k - 8k gold when expansion hits, than I do preorder and have all necessary cards afterwards.

In the end, I only have to pay the 50 € for preorder to have all needed cards and that's totally fine for me.

I'm strictly F2P, so I have to hoard gold. I bought all the packs I could afford when it was released, dusted all the cards that rotated out of standard, and immediately started saving gold. Currently at 4880.

I'm also pretty casual, and don't put a ton of time into the ladder. This is my best season, and I'm currently at rank 7, and likely won't have time to play enough today to push that higher.

So yup, saving up gold, won't be preordering.

Planning on start saving gold "soon". Haven't decided about pre-order yet.

Right now I think I have 10g....  I'll start saving right after opening another Legendary... I've never preordered and I won't do it this time either.... I'll just get 30/40 packs with gold and then craft the rest with dust....

I hoard gold until the expansion releases. Then I spend all my gold on packs. Then from that day forward, I start hoarding gold again. Usually end up with 7k gold on expansion day. No preorders. This usually gets me enough cards/dust to play the decks that I want to play.

I play arena at around the break-even level, including quests, so don't save up gold (I have never paid gold for a pack since season 2). I currently have 900 gold but this may go up or down depending upon my arena performance.

Previously I always bought the 50 booster deal for cash but will not be doing this any more due to the ludicrous price rises faced by non-US players.

Congratulations to Blizzard on converting a P2W player in to F2P!

(Hopefully the Legendaries in the upcoming set will be poor enough that 13,000 dust will suffice...)

Saving up gold (and not preordering this time).  Turns out, it's really easy if you're disciplined.  In May I will have saved up around 4200 gold.  

I've been F2P for a while now. On launch day I cash in my gold but after that I basically save for the next expansion.

I still miss half of the epics of Ungoro, so i will probably keep playing arena for another month, then i will probably start to save. I will also buy the pre-purchase

3.5k gold so far. Won't be preordering. 

my wife and i have been running silly apps on our phones that pay out minute amounts of money...we nearly have $50 between us at this point...by the time the next expansion releases we are planning to have enough to pick up $100 in Amazon coins so both of us can have that sweet card back, 50 packs, and no feelings of shame =P

I'll pre-order and then spend another $200 or so when it comes out. Like usual.
