So, I am the first to admit I am a very average player, stay between Rank 19-17 each month. But I am getting bludgeoned by Rogue Quest decks more and more every day. Not that many of the quests take that much more skill over another one, but the Rogue quest takes little in the way of planning (a shitload of low cost/draw a card minions and and Shadowstep, Ferryman, etc.) is boring to play against and seems really OP. Since this expansion has been out a while, anyone have a decent way to play against Crystal Core?
Its not op but its just extremely good against slower decks, so switch to a more aggresive deck type if you want to have a good chance at winning against quest rouge.
I hear ya, but even a more aggressive deck is tough when on turn 3 or 4 I have a shit load of 5/5 Southsea Deckhands, Stonetusk Boars and Firefly's coming at me.

Play Pirate Warrior, Aggro Druid, Hunter, or Secret Mage. They should win a good majority of the time.
There are plenty of tools/decks out there that completely shut Quest Rogue down. I understand that it is annoying to play against if/when you get a bad draw, and they get a legendary draw, but the same could be said for many decks.
There are already a ton of threads abut this so I'm not gonna explain into details why the deck is ok .
I'm gonna propose you something simple instead : Play the deck yourself for at least 20 games or more and if you still find it op after that than come back here and complain about it.

1. Mage is very effective. Pressure their life total early, mostly ignore their board unless you can clear it with minon only damage spells. Any other damage spells should go to face as should minion damage. Use ice block to delay them long enough to finish out with face damage. Make them second guess their spell plays if you have counterspell in your deck.
2. Any agro deck... Play as aggressively on curve as you can and go face face face. Make them trade into you and only trade into them if it looks like they could pull lethal next turn.
3. non-mage mid range and control. Try to balance trading into their minions and doing face damage. The longer the game runs the larger an advantage they likely have, but by controlling their board, you may be able to stall their win long enough to kill them. Quest Rogue has no healing so keep the pressure on them but prevent a blow out. Sweeping spells that can remove the 5/5s such as brawl and DragonFire should be timed with their first round of crystal in play. Keep the board down so they can't lethal on playing CC. Get your taunts down on follow-up turns. Early taunts are more likely to get removed without costing them tempo. Focus more on damage and board clear rather than taunts and healing in early rounds.
4. Tech cards in your deck for Quest Rogue if you play it often. Dirty Rat is a good one as it denies them a play/bounce at least some of the time, blocks a charge, and is good at clearing their small minions early. They typically have nothing strong that will drop from Rat so its a safe play. Charge and face damage are good against Quest Rogue as they have minimal taunts and no healing. Counterspell is pretty dangerous for them.

I found that handbuff pally works almost 100% of the time against it, they can't stop you from hitting your hand with 3-4 handbuffs before they get the quest, so your creatures are coming in at better than 5/5

Midrange hunter, secret mage, etc. There are quite a few decks that easily beat quest rogue.
What are you playing currently?
Everyone who says this isn't OP probably plays it themselves.
And it's one of the most uninteractive decks in the history of HS too.
Fk this meta. Worst ever.
I honestly wouldn't say it's OP as much as it's just lame.
If you draw well, it's auto-win. If you don't, it's auto-lose. No brainpower required whatsoever.
I'm embarrassed for whichever designer or set of designer/testers thought this card was a good idea.
hello

Quest Rogue says, Kill me until turn 5 or you Loose, nothing else.
The mechanic is dumb, the design is dumb and to play against isnt fun at all, even if you win.
Oh look another QQ thread , how interesting pls tell us more ...
I do agree with everyone that I just HATE to play against it, but it is beatable.

We don't need multiple threads on the same subject cluttering the forums.
