Curious what most people do when they get friend requests, and under what circumstances (if any) do you accept? The reason I'm asking is that it feels like I've gotten more "flame" friend requests this meta than normal, so wondered if anyone else has been experiencing this. In the interest of total disclosure, I'll admit I've brought some of these on myself, due to the fact that I have a habit of making a snotty "Wow" or "Whoops" emote after trouncing quest rogues or pirate warriors because of how I feel about these decks, so, okay, my bad in these situations. However, regardless of the deck I'm playing or whether or not it's been a good game, it seems like people just don't like losing more than normal lately and want to reach out and tell me about it.
I don't emote that much during games, other than when my opponent makes what I consider a pretty good/novel play and I give a "well played", or to say "good game". I also don't send "flame" friend requests, but do often send a request after beating or losing to an interesting deck, or after a good game in which I think my opponent made some plays that I'd like to compliment them on and pick their brain about. Usually my friend requests are accepted about 1/3 of the time. I generally always accept friend requests regardless of circumstances - even when I know it's a flame request, if nothing else than to give the obligatory "You mad, bro?" or "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA . . . .HAHAHAHAHAHAHA" to rub it in a bit. Again, my bad, but it's a cross I'll have to bear :) So, what do you do?
I always accept it, and get accepted sometimes.. i just try to add people when the game is great or their deck is cool.. it has been a long long time since someone insulted me after added..
Pretty much the exact same here. I enjoy adding new friends as well so I generally accept people's requests and add players that I have intense games with or respect their plays- normally control. I started playing wild recently and I've had trouble not adding Pirate players just to send "you are everything that's wrong with this game." But that's just me being frustrated and I have yet to do that.
I always accept friend requests. I've made a few good friends that I talk to any time I see them online. Sure, there's some jerks and scumbags, but you just delete those guys.

I always accept requests. I get so happy when a russian guy starts to flame me (in russian that is) and my first response is: "sorry I don't speak French".
I also add people sometimes but never flame them. If a person is e.g. extremely lucky I sometimes add to kind of laugh it off with them.
So when some one adds me. I have no problem adding them if they want to talk or just vent, I've got thick skin and what's the worst they can do? Call me names? I play games all the time, and I don't know you, so nothing you can sat will hurt my feelings.
if they want to talk about how the game went, well I just made a new friend to talk strategy with and play my 80g quests with. Also some one to occasionally watch and learn from.
When I add some one, and this is very rare, due to I don't want them to think I'm going to flame them, it's mostly to apologize for the awful luck they had.
one example comes from a paladin I played against back in MSOG before the Sylvanas rotation he played Tirion so my counter was sylvanas. He played 2 doomsayers to try and get one of them taken. Well I took his Tirion and with that had lethal on the board. Added him afterwards and we had a good laugh about it.
Another guy I added had an awesome name, (Ziltoid) a character made by a band for their album. Had to add him just to make a couple jokes with him about it. And yeah another guy to talk strategy and ideas with.
All in all I don't get flamed as common as these forums seem to make it out to be. Maybe I'm just lucky or maybe people just don't care as much by the time they lose to me, but I accept people who add me, and add people for just odd reasons.

I think it's hilarious when your opponent adds to just flame. Yesterday, he was playing a secret mage and I was playing quest mage; He had a crystal runner on board and I played doomsayer. He conceded after he used fireball on his runner XD.
After the game, he added me (I knew what for) and this is what he said:
"nice goldfish, autist"
"get cancer"
And I replied "Goldfish? XD" and he stopped replying. Does anyone know what he meant by goldfish? XD
Nope,i almost never accept friends requests and i almost always instand squelch everyone.I have plenty of good friends in real life and i don't need any more especially in a kids game.
Online gamers tend to be spoiled weak willed teens anyway and they deserve 0 time or respect. After giving them private lessons for more than 5 years(as a university student to support my expenses) i learned it well.
I generally accept, except if I bm (mildly, don't worry, I'm not a monster :P) a pirate or other aggro flavour of the month deck player a bit, then I know what he wants to say xD
Also, if anyone wants to, feel free to add me, but please, when you see me online, say you know me from hearthpwn or something...had a number of random people adding me and not explaining it was from here...
I dont accept them. I have a kind of paranoia that a recent opponent wants to flame me after my win over him. Yesterday i denied 4 of them. Thought they are salty and just ignored it. Maybe i should try to trust people?
I very rarely accept random friend requests in Hearthstone.
The only times that happened so far, were after enjoyable longer games without any bm emote spams or roping and the like.^^ And even then it would just be for a short conversation, answering some questions and talking about the game, after which I would delete the contact again - mainly because I like to keep my friends list compact and want to fill it with actual friends (hence the name^^).
I generally accept whatever friend requests come my way. Just seems the decent thing to do, giving people the benefit of the doubt and all. If they flame I can just delete them immediately so it's no skin off my nose. So far it's served me in good stead, only positive experiences and someone trying unsuccessfully to figure out where I live. I occasionally friend myself after especially interesting games, novel deck encounters, or particularly goofy bits of RNG, just to discuss/commiserate.
The only exception is when I'm fully tilted after a rash of bad luck and am just too stupid to quit until I win a couple. Then I can't even bear myself, but at least I have the dignity not to inflict that me upon others.

Bring back the Sorry emote!
I answered yes but really I haven't been able to respond to friend requests because of a bug.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Sometimes accept people at high ranks who adequately behave.

I always accept, because why not. In case of rage kiddies i can troll them, unless they quickly fart some childish insult and unfriend me.

Twitch is my source, where I get new buddys.
Yes always.
If it's good, i get a new target for quests.
If it's bad, i can enjoy the frustration of losers.

If it was a fun game with interesting decks, then yeah. Those invites are usually pretty friendly.

You can't stop the signal.
My exp says never. One thing I love about HS is that I don't have to play it with someone, opposed to overwatch or wow.
I also would be happy if devs put an auto block friend invites next to auto squelch.
