Thanks for the help... Maybe i do need to start looking at this game the other way...
How are you dealing with bullshit in this game? I love HS, my favourite TCG, best graphic design, warcraft lore. I like how the game has large community to share your experience with. I just fucking love the game.
But i cant play it. I just cant enjoy the bullshit im sometimes getting. What i want to know is how to play this game and not get tilted.
And answers like "why would you get tilted its just a game" dont satisfy me. Why? Imagine playing RPG or FPS game. Most part of the game is very enjoyable and youd like to see whats next, how the game ends. But then, there are those episodes where you will completely get crushed because whether you are able to complete a level depends wholly on a random factor. Whats more, those episodes have nothing to do with your skill but just your luck and those are very terribly designed. Hence the irony - you want to play more but at the same time you have to consider those nasty episodes making you hate the same game at the same time.
How do I get over it? I want to continue playing but all i can do to get involved into this game is watching damn streams as I just cant get over those fucking EPISODES where im getting totally crushed. Especialy when I shoudlnt have but it happens anyway.
Should i quit this agme because i cant enjoy the whole of it? Or not being able to enjoy it to a maximum is enough? I just want to play it more... But i cant as im too AFRAID of a next match up being so frustrating, not anjoyjable at all and that it will make me damn angry again ;((((
HOW ARE YOU ABLE TO CONTINUE IN SUCH CIRCUMSTANCES? HOW CAN YOU PLAY A GAME WHICH IS 50% SHIT AND 50% GREAT?
I have done it aswell a year ago. Exactly as you said i had no HS intact for more than a month. But then i noticed it wasnt a problem. I want long term solution. Sth that will allow me to play it and get over those failures. But maybe there is no solution. Maybe this game IS just fucking frustrating and the only way you can play it without getting tilted is when youre actually getting paid for playing it so you actually have some god damn motivation to continue.
It's obvious you should take a break. HS is a great game but really addictive. You're playing through your bad beats and while on tilt because you're so addicted to it. Instead stop and do something else, preferably outside.
Dude, did you just deduced that im having low outisde life because of my tilt on this game? And i dont consider it as addiction. People have hobbies that theyre doing in their free time that dont involve other people. I consider it a hobby but i cant get over some shit.
I do think its addictive. Every blizzard game is. But as i said. I dont like considering it an addiction. Im not in a stage where i would consider the only game i play an addiction. A passion and a hobby.
For me the following is working well: before I start playing, I make it clear to myself that a lot of the follwing wins and losses will happen due to RNG. This is obvious for everybody familiar with HS, but its easy to forget about it when your on a losing streak.
A lot of rage and tilt comes from the expectations that you start to play with. You did great with a deck yesterday and youre looking forward to continue your climb with it tonight? Congratulations, those are exactly the requirements you need in advance to have an evening full of tilt and rage.
Just dont forget for a second that this game is largely based on RNG. And always account for the worst to happen.
At some point the game will completely break your spirit and you will begin to laugh at your misfortune instead of getting tilted. I took a break at the end of karazhan. That seemed to help too.
So you should not expect good results? Instead just take whatever the game gives you.
But how to enjoy GAMES THAT ARE FRUSTRATING? How to enjoy freeze mage battle? How to enjoy getting worst cards in hand and shit on by your opponent? How to enjoy 3rd flamestrike from babbling book? How to see the game still fun to play no matter the other experience it provides? I dont want to be fucking tilted for atleast half an hour because i had bad luck in a game.
I cant contiunute playing a game after 4 rounds in a row i got shit on. Whyere it was not enjoyable at all. I know you can have bad luck but in this god damn RNG based game there are games where you just get crushed. Fucked in the ass. Nothing fun. Just quit a game and fucing rage. Thats whats geting me. Its all blizzards fault and their creations like babbling book and swahbruglar. Random. Random randooom im a damn moron and cant think of other tactic than creating a shit whole of value by 1 mana freaking card.

Ha this is so true!
I'm always excited to get some play time in when i did well during my previous session. Then i end up so tilted when things don't go as well as last time.
But tbh it's not usually RNG that tilts me. It's when i make a misplay! I can deal with being outplayed and i can deal when RNG doesn't go my way. But when i make a mistake and i know it was a mistake, i get so pissed at myself :P that's when the tilt sets in and of course tilt = more misplays and it just snowballs from there. Usually when that happens i just take a break, go watch tv or play some guitar or something to relax me.
I dont. When i missplay i know i fucked up and deserve to lose. But when i had no influence over my loss then its just not fucking fun. And this game provides a lot of moments like this.
There are times when an opponent draws the exact answers to your last turn, or something that stops you from doing what you planned in your upcoming turn. All you can do with those situations= let it happen and focus on next turn or game. Getting angry/annoyed about it only increases your chances to make a misplay.
Anyway in games like counter stike and overwatch its not about you. You have to consider whoile team to be good. Its never about you that the team lost.
So you should not expect good results? Instead just take whatever the game gives you.

Yes, exactly. Because HS is built that way. If you hate the RNG and cant deal with it, then I am afraid you will never fully enjoy this game.
HS and its RNG cards is not made for us. Its made for the 95% of the players who dont even know a website like this exists. Who play a game here and there and enjoy all the funny things that can happen with Babbling Book.
It's funny coz I'm the opposite, when i had no control I'm like well there was nothing i could have done so whatever. But when i fuck up and i lose because it's my fault I get annoyed because i should have won :p
Pack yourself a nice, fresh bowl and relax. I don't know what else to suggest because the game has never really tilted me. Like most people, I don't enjoy losing so if I'm playing ranked and lose a few games (especially if I lose to RNG), then I play casual or Wild ranked and just whip out a fun deck. Ranked play isn't that enjoyable and I'm not sure it's supposed to be, that's why I'm done at rank 5 each month. You could also just take a break by starting a new arena and take your time drafting with help from heartharena. Or visit hearthpwn and explore the hundreds of decks people post.
There's more ways to enjoy Hearthstone than just jumping into the next match while you're tilted
The best way to avoid getting tilted is to really not care about being successful. You should be playing the game to have fun rather than to climb the ladder and be "the best". If you focus too much on winning and ascending the ranks then you are going to get stressed out and frustrated no matter what. This is true for any competitive game. Try to play fun gimmicky decks, even if they aren't successful against the top tier decks in the meta learn to roll with the punches and savor the best games you have.
Play against your friends. Heck get a whole group of friends together and do some kind of tournament with your own rule sets. One of my favorite things to do is to just spectate my friends and work with them to make the best plays and win the game together.
I love hearthstone too and I personally believe that the current meta is a very fun and dynamic one. I firmly believe that the current state of the game provides the most opportunities to have a fun time you just have to be willing to change your outlook on things. That's how I do it at least, hearthstone is easily my favorite game ever and every day I manage to have a fun time with it. If you're looking for a fun deck to play try kripp's galvadon paladin, its my favorite "meme" deck and it can actually be relatively successful.
It's funny coz I'm the opposite, when i had no control I'm like well there was nothing i could have done so whatever. But when i fuck up and i lose because it's my fault I get annoyed because i should have won :p
Exactly. I only get frustrated when I make a misplay because if that misplay costs me the game, then I'm annoyed.
1. Understand that this game is hugely RNG. 2. There's only so many cards in a deck, so answers will pop up frequently to what you just played. 3. Yes I know you stated that you don't like "It's just a game" excuse. But reguardless, it is a game, and if you are getting that frustrated, you should really take a break till you calm down. 4. Games are meant to be fun and a pass time. If you can't take quite a few bad beats in a game, especially one that has such a small pool to draw resources from, than you need to find another aspect other than ladder climbing. 5. My final point here. The only way to deal with the rage that you are dealing with, is to figure out exactly what it is that's making you angry, and learn to deal with it. Each person is different and different things will make others upset. Each situation is unique. You have to learn how to deal with that yourself, and get passed it. If you don't, the longer you play mad, the worse your games are going to get, and the more mistakes you will make.

I do all this shiy in HS. Im just so fuckign afraid of those match ups where there will be no fun but frustration.

What you're describing is ladder anxiety. The reluctance to queue into the next match because it could all go wrong!
Sounds like you need to find another way to enjoy the game. I suggest forgetting about ladder and forgetting about arena for a while.
Just play casual and experiment with building some fun decks or something.
Casual is worse than ladder ATM :P
