playing regularly since Beta, but still no Golden hero. Warrior is close now, thanks to Control Warrior, Patron Warrior, and Pirate Warrior wins adding up slowly over months.
Feels weird to me that despite near daily devotion to a game for multiple years, I still have no golden portraits. It rewards lots of ladder grinding, not being a loyal Hearthstone player, should that be the case? /shrug. I play more arena games compared to constructed ladder, have rarely had months where i grinded the ladder alot, but i do make an effort to complete daily quests and play a little bit almost every day, but too busy with work/life to ALWAYS clear my quest queue. Ive gotten to rank 5 or a bit higher several times when i did try to climb, but don't have the time or desire to put in the reps for the full legend grind; i play all the classes, experiment in ladder for quests, and may bounce between an aggro and control list when i do grind...so i dont "main" a class, and have several hundred wins with all the heroes. If Arena wins counted, id have several golden heroes i wager. meh.
Would be nice if golden heroes got custom styling on the board frame like the alt heroes (and a card back?), it might feel more worth grinding for. Always seemed so minor a reward for such alot of game time to me, yet few other things to work towards either. seems a missed opportunity, and misses the play patterns of dedicated, competitive, but ultimately casual time commitment players like myself. More minor goals and carrots for different play styles to keep us hooked longterm appreciated. my 3 cents on golden heroes.
my first competitive deck was handlock which i played endlessly besides some vacations with zoo. so warlock was my first golden hero. after that i switched to control warrior which i also played so often that it got golden.
recently my shaman went golden and hunter, mage and paladin are close to 500 as well.
Paladin back when they really sucked but I ground it out because I was determined to have one Since then Mage, Warlock and Druid in that order. Im within 100 wins for both Priest and Warrior. I never play Rogue or Hunter so those aren't even at level 30 yet.
Priest was my first. Got most of my wins with Trump's "Square Priest" after GvG came out and after a break finished it off with Fatigue Priest right after LoE released. Finally got rogue to 500 just last month. I'm only ~150 wins away with Warlock so I've been playing a bunch of dreadsteedlock in wild, its hella fun.
I am playing since early release and first golden hero was Grommash with old school control warrior , right after that with Gul'dan with zoo deck (one of rare agresive decks i have played) and a bit of Reno Jacksonlock .
Next golden hero will be Malfurion with 380 wins but not in this expansion i think. I got Jungle Giants but not enjoying it as much as i did with per nerf Force of Nature + Savage Roar combo ,miracle/combo Malygos and pre nerf Yogg-Saron, Hope's End as well as jade druid.
Other classes would be mage , priest and rogue with only around 100 ranked wins . In Un'goro i'm mostly playing but definitely enjoying experimenting with only golden legendary card i got from around 70 Un'goro packs opened Sherazin, Corpse Flower . Its such great tempo card that is in most cases getting traded because it confuses opponents and they don't want to get punished by it , and its really easy to resummon it with Backstab , Preparation , Eviscerate , Hallucination and many other cheap cost rogue spells .
Funny enough i do play HS for almost four years now , not that i almost don't have any ranked win with shaman and hunter , they are also both like levels 28 . I don't hate either of them , but i am simply not used to play heavy agresive face decks since i am maining control warrior (honestly quest warrior is borring for me in Un'goro compared to old 7+ legendary cards decks with good old Ragnaros the Firelord , Dr. Boom , Elise Starseeker / Golden Monkey) .
Hello guys , i'm playing on Eu server for three years so far.I mostly like and play control type of decks. If you clear the board constantly , draw answers and stabilize is way more fun than just playing hunter and pressing hero power for fifteen turns . Anyways recently i started posting my built decks/theories because i'd like to share my ideas and to see other people's thoughts about them. Any suggestion/comment is more than welcome .
Paladin back in the good old Midrange days before Secret Paladin appeared. Man, That deck was so much fun and Control Paladin nowadays just remind me of the old midrange pally so I'm ranking up with it and It's so much fun :)
Rogue, specifically that Oil Aggro deck from wingsofwax. Such an incredibly strong deck. Used to farm rank 5 every month with it with easily over 70% win rate. No poor matchups either.
Nerfs to that deck include: Ironbeak Owl, Arcane Golem, Blade Flurry, Leper Gnome and of course the rotation of Oil itself. The deck has truly been gutted. Makes me sad.
Priest in June 2014, mostly with various control builds, but a bit of combo sprinkled in (followed by Warrior in Mar 2015 (all control), Druid in Apr 2015 (all ramp), Mage in Jan 2016 (close to the last 2/3 with Echo), Warlock in Mar 2016 (all Dreadsteed), Shaman in Aug 2016 (somewhere between the last 1/2 and 2/3 with N'Zoth/Ancestral Spirit), and Paladin most recently in Mar 2017 (about 2/3 with Anyfin - half of which was before the Year of the Kraken, and the other half after, with a N'Zoth package). Rogue sitting a little under 400, and Hunter a little under 200. just never been a deck for either class that just grabbed hold of me like the other classes)
Druid. I have played a lot of Druid in WoW first and its my favorite class. In hearthstone i've played since the open beta, 1 month before the release and in the beggining i use to play only Druid.
Druid is my only golden hero at the moment. Mill/fatigue druid was the only thing I played for fun on ladder from Naxx to LoE. A lot of my other heroes are at about 350-400 though, primarily from one-off OTK decks or getting daily quests done.

rogue and priest arent even lvl60 by now lol
WOW that is one great cancer pack.
Warrior. And I did it all with a fatigue deck. Pretty much all of my wins took over 20 minutes.

Rogue was my first, and it's sweet. Priest was second, and also sweet.
Now to just get the other 7...

Alleria isn't on this list :|

Priest for sure!! But 8.2% warrior... that's a joke
Warrior. And I never played Pirate Warrior, it was all control.
Priest pre GvG

Priest by a country mile.
Second and third closest at the time must have been Warlock and Rogue at around 200.
