Probably has mostly to do with your luck on opening legendaries. Make sure to keep track of your legendary pity timer. If you open a legendary in your final 10-15 packs it's probably more efficient to just craft what you need as you should have doubles of all commons, most rares, and at least singles of most epics at that point.
I plan to open a similar amount of packs and will probably just roll with what I have for a couple weeks to see how the meta shapes up before getting crazy crafting any more legendaries.
I have 55 right now - pre-order with the Brawl/Bonus packs along with 2800 gold. I'll also have about 12,000 dust with the cards moving to the Hall of Fame. Gadgetzan took me about 120 packs to complete the set, but I got insanely lucky. Old Gods took about 250 packs.
On average, with 100 packs, you'll get at least two copies of all commons, at least two copies of nearly all rares, at least one copy of about half the epics, and 4-6 (out of 23) legendaries. You'll get about 3-5k dust from duplicates/goldens that can buy you another couple legendaries. So you'll be missing half the epics (and duplicates of most) and, after crafting, 16 or so legendaries.
i think it should do if u get a little bit lucky, i'm sitting in the same amount for this expansion and in MsG i only got the pre purchase and after opening a kazakus and crafting patches i got everithing i needed.
The thing to note from this is that it only takes 50 packs to get 50% of the collection (mostly commons and rares), but then takes nearly 7 times as many more packs to fill out the rest of collection (epics and legendaries).
The preorder will fulfill basically all of the commons and rares, plus 1 or 2 legendaries. Epics are usually the optional cards, but this set looks pretty strong in the epic rarity, with 16-18 of the 27 being craft worthy. That might make the set more expensive, but that's up to your deck styles.

Wants to play Captain Cookie Druid because why not?
50 usually is not enough if you want legendaries for all the classes you really want to play... Most of the time the extra packs are just for the dust..
100 packs if you want the full collection no, but it is enough to craft 3-4 meta decks if you have some saved up dust for the legendaries and epics
im sitting around 7,8k dust and i will get from hall of fame 3,2k more so with the preorder+freebies+packs bought with saved up gold atleast for me 100 should be enough
i will only buy more if im close to a pity timer when i hit 100
if you want all of the cards be ready to unload some serious amount of cash and im talking about 250-350 dollars per expansion if you are not a great arena player
If you have other sets that you need key cards from, I'd say get 80 of Un'goro and use the rest on other sets. You will have most rares, a decent amount of epics and some legendaries with 80. Once you see what decks you like (or are meta) you can just craft the 2-6 cards you are missing. You will also get dust for any cards moving to the Hall of Fame to craft missing legendaries.

So currently have enough for more then 100 packs of the set Journey to Un'goro.
I have 50 with the prepurchase and I am currently sitting on 5500+ gold.
Now is 100 a reasonable amount for the new set or should I spend the rest on it as well?
I am thinking of spending the extra on sets I was not able to get a lot of back in the day aka Whispers of the Old Gods.
Look at your dust count. I've got 100 packs too but am sitting on 65k dust. If you can fill up the missing card quota with dust, I'd do that.
Short version: assess once you've opened your 100..
Golden Hero Collections thus far; -
Europe: Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior (9/9)
Americas: Druid, Mage, Paladin Shaman (4/9)
Everywhere else: Workin on it.. (0/9)
I'd say ''Sky's the limit ..!'', unless it is VISA or MasterCard that is the real limit ?
"What have you got there,
PinocchioMalygos?"okay, i personally mean the 5 more packages (500Gold..) doesnt matter,
i think it depends on how many legendarys you allready got, and which ones... then decide on which set you will spend them...

Anything more than 50 is way more than enough in my humble opinion. Then again, Im not much of a collector.
Wants to play Captain Cookie Druid because why not?
The breakdown of the set is as follows:
- 23 legendaries (36,800)
- 27 epics (21,600 total)
- 36 rares (7,200 total)
- 49 commons (3,920 total)
The preorder will fulfill basically all of the commons and rares, plus 1 or 2 legendaries. Epics are usually the optional cards, but this set looks pretty strong in the epic rarity, with 16-18 of the 27 being craft worthy. That might make the set more expensive, but that's up to your deck styles.

That's useful to know. I think I'll be covered then. Appreciate the info.
