Say I drop my last deathrattle minions with 9 cards on hand, and then my 1hp knife juggler snipes tentacle of nzoth and it blows up my juggler and cult master draws me a card putting me at 10. Does the reward get milled?
You probably get it before those other actions take effect. PROBABLY. Nobody really knows the ins and outs of the new mechanics just yet and there's no actual consistent set of rules, you know, like mtg.
This particular scenario can't burn the card. The Quest would trigger before knife juggler. Assuming you played it before the juggler.
I suppose if it's an after summon effect then this could happen. But it depends on the programming of the quest card
But there might be a situation where you could.
Say you had stolen a redemption off a Paladin (unlikely) and you had to 10 cards in hand for some reason. On your opponents turn and your final deathrattle is summoned by redemption then in theory this might burn the card.

I have ten cards in hand and Awaken the Makers and Confessor Paletress on board. I hero power and summon a deathrattle, completing the quest. What now?
My guess is the quest stays on board, uncompleted, kind of the same way certain secrets work (e.g. snek trap and get down) do when their condition is met but there is no room for their effects.

Interesting idea. Maybe it wouldn't even activate. But I believe it would actually still activate and burn the card. The secrets don't trigger because hey can always trigger another time. The quest is an actually counter I don't see why it would "pause" the final count if there want room for it in hand.

We will see I suppose.
I completely agree that it wouldn't make much sense that way, I just think Blizzard values the player's feelings over the consistency of the game ;)

I had 10 cards in hand and was 5/6 on the mage quest, I played a spell from cabalists, and it burned the quest card. So the quest card must be added to your hand *before* the spell leaves it. Ended up with 9 cards in hand instead of 10 with the quest. Some bullsh*t right there if you ask me.

That's Incredible!

I assume it could. Pretty weird scenario, though.
On the other hand, I'm sure many a reward will be Dirty Rat-ted :P
