I'm playing the game since beta and All I can get is only golden portraits. Being an old player's extra is only too much card backs from 1st season to last one. I want to see something new. 60 lvl cap isn't enough in my opinion.
I can get that Blizzard wants to keep alive rewarding new players for their catching posibilities of old players and they are giving free card packs to them. It's okey. All in all, free packs are always good but what about people who already got which cards they wanted to get? I mean the game needs some fun-based activities like brawl. Or new hall of fame cards that can be only obtainable after lvl 60. But new ones, not cycling ones. Like an end-game content of any MMO. Like end-game MMO dungeons or something. It can be also a Story Mode. Also maybe achievements ?
Sometimes, I'm playing some wings of adventures for this need and now Blizzard decided to not release more adventures. They said they will make some PVE content it's ok but don't you think there is more than this for old players?
What do you think guys?
For the records, I did not mean "Blizzard should reward old players more than new players." My point is different from it.
Edit: " Maybe a new competitive mode that we can ban some classes. It feels really enjoyable when you think that. Ranked mode can stay like what it is and additional competitive mode can be really good. A mode that can be joinable only for 40+ level maybe and with card or class bans and not limited only standard which players can decide for a round what is cannot be playable in."
I'm adding this comment to here because I have forgot to write when i posted this. Thanks to Krewger who reminds me of that.
Memedeck-seeker. Always tries to build new decks. Hates tournements, streamers, netdecks and poor-o players. ah, but a tournement mode could be great !!!
In my opinion, if you are an old player who already got all the cards you want, golden portraits and all heroes to 60, then good for you, just enjoy the game for what it is and have fun playing.
Would it be nice to have more stuff? Maybe. But definitely most efforts should go to helping new players out. Free packs, easily aquirable gold and such stuff should be made available to new players, and for the old ones (like you and me) it's just more icing on the cake, more dust to have more shinies when the next expac hits.
I'd even suggest to make a quest like 'Play 8 games' that rewards a free Arena entry. That would be nice for ALL players. Also, i'd be totally fine with Naxx being given for free to new and old players after completing a quest such as 'Play 20 matches in Wild'.
Seriously, this game needs to become more f2p friendly, more accesible. For us old players, free packs of any type (Brawls, quests, events etc), season rewards and cardbacks are imo enough.
EDIT: More stuff for old players would be nice, but not at the expense of anything else.
It's a good suggestion to give naxx to new players free. I have no problem with that idea.
I liked your suggestions and you're right about that this game needs to become more f2p friendly. I did not pay any real money to this game and I believe that If I wasn't playing from beta, it will be a huge problem for me to get the cards I want. Blizzard is starting slowly doing this. It's a good think tho.
I want some achievement-like and adventure-like things in addition to your thoughts,
I'm not a try hard typed player who always forces himself to hit legend. I'm trying always new decks, trying some unplayable decks, anything you can imagine. But it is starting to fall short of my expectations.

I have also played since beta. My opinion varies greatly from yours on this topic as well.
Being an older player means we have already been greatly rewarded with FREE card backs, cards, dust, and packs many times more than new players. Even the current rewards for new players are still universal and us "old timers" continue to collect like the incoming JUG free packs.
I think asking for more reward for being loyal for longer than other players is entitlement. Who would even decide if such a reward existed how long equals having played long enough; Beta? Vanilla? Karazhan? Black Rock? It could never be fair...
I DO agree though that grinding goals that do not impact competitive performance are becoming more relative as the game ages. There are those of us who wanted to see more Heroic Adventures, not less. Just removing those is an obvious slight against players who enjoy them - but money decides these things.
Maybe some kind of crest that appears on the game board that shows a insignia on it for every golden class you have or the crest has 9 levels each more epic and has some Legendary Golden Standard if you have all golden classes - that way your opponent knows how much life we've wasted playing a children's card game >.-
I do feel where your coming from, just be clearer what you're asking for.
I think the game needs more rewards for ALL players as opposed to specifically older players. New players need rewards in order to get them interested enough to become old players. Old players need rewards to keep a stable player base and to "recruit" more new players to give the game a try. Some rewards appeal to both groups (i.e. free packs), but Blizzard needs to make sure both groups are satisfied. So more ways to accelerate card/gold/dust aquisition for new players (i.e. welcome bundles, free arena tickets, free legendaries at expansion launches, more frequent high gold quests, etc.) and more "cosmetic" or high difficulty things for older player (i.e. alternate heroes, free gold cards, card backs, achievements, heroic tavern brawl, heroic PvE content, etc.) would likely be positive changes.
Great ideas, they may also give a special hero skin if you already lvled all heroes to max lvl for example. Story mode which opens after your cumulative lvl on all heroes reaches some point also nice idea, or just single mission that rewards fun cards (like etc or nozdormu lvl of fun). Maybe a different color nickname or border like in league of Legends for since beta/season one players. It wouldn't hurt at all to show their core player base some appreciation. I'm against "give us more packs because we are old players/because we spend money" idea though, it sounds stupid.
I also think a tournament mode needs to be introduced where you can win unique rewards like special cardbacks.
It can be good to play in-game tournements.

That is what i'm asking for already. I'm not begging for free content. Just wanting role-playing things like achivements, pve content, a new mode like Krewger and I mentioned above. I don't mean "I'm an old player and I deserve more than anynew players". I'm supporting same thing with you. It must be equal for all players but Blizzard cherishs new players and gaining more new players. I know all'is about money but I hope Blizzard give some value to old players.

The idea of being rewarded for long term play is a universal concept in any game. The online community for Shooters/MMO'/Mobas/CCG's/Sims etc. all feel they deserve some form of recognition for their "dedication and time" put into the game. I have been apart of WoW since vanilla, I get more excited to see a reward for community involvement, rather then a catered reward just for players like me who have been around forever. Personally I feel its entitlement, I've been part of Hearthstone since its initial release, I was not fortunate enough to be part of the beta due to personal life issues, but as a long term player of the game I would rather see a reward for passing on knowledge as a veteran player.
Example: Quest, play XX games with a new player both players receive 50 Dust. this gives a reward and incentive to bring the community together, "recruit" a new player base, and it isn't the generic gold gain. Limit the quest so the veterans can only pair with players who have been active for 30 days but less then 120 days so you can't create smurf/alt accounts just for the reward.
Veteran players (in my opinion) would be those who had created and active accounts prior to "New way to Play" since that was the introduction of the split formats and set rotations.
How old must one be to receive OP's suggested rewards?
Do we need to provide official certificate of birth?

giving players a percentage of free packs to how many packs they've opened on their account and how much money they spent on the game would be nice

Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.

Yeah, we old players deserve more respect from this group of clowns known as Team 5.
Forgive me, friend. I have failed.
Just wear the Pandaria cardback with pride. :D
Would be nice, but doubt it. I would be up for some cosmetical stuff but I guess golden gelbin is all we get.
