As Un'goro approaches one of the features many of us control lovers are hoping for are quests.
All of us really want them to work, don't we? To see them strong enough early to keep Pirate Warrior away, and able to compete with Jade lategame?
WELL DON'T BE FOOLED!
The quests aren't control tools AT ALL, in fact, it will only make skillful aggro players FAR more powerful.
Don't believe me? Let's take a look at the ones currently revealed then.
Awaken the Makers: How does a 5 mana 8/8 sound to you? With taunt as well! And to top it off, raises your health to 40! All you gotta do is go second and proceed with this curve:
2- 2 Mistress of Mixtures, to go start off with good trades against their turn 1 and 2 minions(Zombie Chow works in Wild too).
3- Once you cleared the board, you need to start dealing damage and card advantage. Leper Gnome and Crystaline Oracle X2. You now have 5/7 of your quest complete.
4- Now you bring in the big guns. Loot Hoarder (or Haunted Creeper in Wild), don't worry if you are low on health at this point, the game barely even started for you, not so much for your enemy so don't trade, go face.
5- Guess what bitches, Amara, Warden of Hope, you now have a 5 mana 8/8 with taunt and are back to 4/3 of your starting health. Now you should be able to draw your mid and lategame options and finish the game EASY.
But that's just priest, let's see Shaman (Spoilers: Aggro Shaman is back).
1- Start off with your quest, obviously, (and in Wild then play some free Murloc Tinyfins for extra-infinite Value).
3- Coin (you went second right?) + Call in the Finishers. Your opponent should be pissing his pants at the sight of 6 (or 8) murlocs on board.
4- After trading so you have 4 spaces open on the board, surprise Call in the Finishers BABY.
5- Big Boy Megafin. Step aside, 4 mana 7/7, there's a new king of value in town, and instead of Overload (2), it just FILLS YOUR HAND WITH MURLOCS! Neptulon has Overload (3) to give you 4 murlocs, this guy DOESN'T HAVE ANY overload, to give you 8 or 9 of the little buggers!
And you want to talk Rogue? If you thought turn 5 8/8s were bad, how about this shit:
4- Double Alleycat + Hero Power (If you don't have the skills to draw a 2 mana or 2 more 1 mana cards).
5- Queen Carnassa. Enjoy your infinite 3/2 beasts for 1 mana, and the 5 mana 8/8 of course.
Now that I've proven all of these quests are thinly veiled disguises for the OP 3-6 drops, you can see why we will never a control meta. Sorry for breaking your dreams, but Blizzard will never stop this from going further and further into toilet gaming territory. Only difference is you need a bit more skill to draw the right cards.
These scenarios you're listing off are so unbelievably specific and rare that I guarantee you these turns as you portray them or anything similar will not happen.
Also, by design, even aggressive quests are slowed down by the quest costing 1 mana (meaning that, if you are without coin, your opponent has initiative, not you). Then, under the vast majority of circumstances, the quest rewards will NOT be fulfilled in time to cast on turn 5. Meaning that these extremely aggressive pushes will only happen by turn 6 or later. This gives slower decks plenty of time to accumulate card advantage, draw into their board clears and taunts, and, most importantly, generate enough mana to actually use the cards in hand. Pirate Warrior this is not.
So far the only quests that fit Aggro decks are the Shaman and Hunter quests, which seems fine considering in the case of Shaman it's about Murlocs and in the case of Hunter its... Hunter (you know, the guy with the hero power that only hits face). I'm actually more inclined to think the Warlock one is slower than people give it credit for if you don't draw the nuts, but it could end up being a faster Midrange list so you could lump that one in as well.
Priest's is slow and Rogue's is slow, so I don't think those ever slot into Aggro lists. The fact you used these two as examples makes me think you're either being satirical/trolling, or just don't understand how Aggro really works. I don't want to run Mistress or heal to 40 in Aggro, and I don't want to sit there bouncing minions back and forth or running something like Mimic Pod as Aggro Rogue.
Aggro hate is generally something I think is stupid in the first place, but this is really just a stretch to try and find something to hate in the first place.

To anyone taking this shit seriously, please don't. I thought it was pretty clear this was meant as a joke.
I just wanted to shot the best case scenarios for those "skilled" enough to draw crazy shit like this. While the chances of any of these happening are 1 in a a million, I can't wait for the Trolden videos.
As far as my honest thoughts on the quests, I love them. I can see them regularly beeing completed between turn 7 and 10 most games and that's fine by me. But the possibility of seeing streamers refill my salt stockpiles after their opponent does something like this is just too funny for me and I thought I'd share.

With the amount of crybabys roaming around this forum, posts like yours have a 90% chance of being serious
Yeah, honestly can't blame you for thinking it was serious, added a little "Kappa" at the end to make sure.
These streamers bring some entertainment, some of us don't like it all but they have their audience. That's their job, they spend alot of time for it and earn some money. If you'd spend all your next year improving in the game and broadcast, there's a good chance you'll become a popular streamer. The meta has to change on every expansion/adventure to sustain Hearthstone and make it more interesting, while there is a great variety of decks for all the classes that fit to it.
Lol that makes way more sense. The sad part is I've seen some really big stretches by people on this forum to justify the viewpoint that something was "Aggro", so it was hard to tell. The nut draws for everyone is going to be pretty hilarious though. :P
Personally I think even the aggressively designed ones like Hunter are still interesting ways for Aggro to win, and I'm actually really happy about that design. I'm not against aggressive lists existing at all, but I very much prefer the trend to making them slower than Pirate Warrior tends to be and these do it pretty well.
I'm also just happy that we have classes all trying to win in different ways. Shaman, Warlock, and Hunter might all still want to be aggressive but they're all doing something distinctly different and I think that's going to keep things a lot fresher compared to "I'm in charge now" and "We're gonna be rich!". So far these cards only have me sad that collecting all of them is going to be somewhat difficult with them being Legendaries.

But that's just priest, let's see Shaman (Spoilers: Aggro Shaman is back).
1- Start off with your quest, obviously, (and in Wild then play some free Murloc Tinyfins for extra-infinite Value).
2- Murloc Tidehunter, start refilling that board.
3- Coin (you went second right?) + Call in the Finishers. Your opponent should be pissing his pants at the sight of 6 (or 8) murlocs on board.
4- After trading so you have 4 spaces open on the board, surprise Call in the Finishers BABY.

And you want to talk Rogue? If you thought turn 5 8/8s were bad, how about this shit:
1- The Caverns Below
2- Take a good look now, this might need some skill: Swashburglar + Swashburglar + Shadowstep + Swashburglar + Shadowstep + Swashburglar.
3- Coin + Counterfeit Coin + Crystal Core.
Proceed to wreck face with whatever you draw or whatever you got from your broken Swashburglars.
Now Walock for infinite 3/2s starting turn 6 (takes a little longer):
1- Lakkari Sacrifice, make sure you have the skill to have Clutchmother Zavas or it might not work.
2- Darkshire Librarian who is smart enough to discard Zavas, if she doesn't you need to slap her.
3- Darkshire Librarian the second, who also discards Zavas.
4- Play your Lakkari Felhound who should discard Zavas and a Silverware Golem
5- Doomguard discards Zavas again and your second Silverware Golem.
6- Nether Portal + coin + Clutchmother Zavas. You now have infinite 3/2s and a 10/10. You can't lose the game by now.
And the last one revealed, Hunter:
1- The Marsh Queen
2- Double Fire Fly
3- Double Flame Elemental + Webspinner
4- Double Alleycat + Hero Power (If you don't have the skills to draw a 2 mana or 2 more 1 mana cards).
5- Queen Carnassa. Enjoy your infinite 3/2 beasts for 1 mana, and the 5 mana 8/8 of course.

We can theorize amazing draws for Renounce Darkness too, but that was a silly meme deck.
When quest decks don't have perfect draws how competitive will they be? That's what we really need to know.

Who's the Beatdown?
I actually love these, and will build decks and play until I can get ONE of these scenarios to occur because why the hell not?
we should see some decks meant to trigger quests fast for the 5 mana 8/8s, but no to many
