Was wondering if anyone has any resources, like videos or guides, that could make me a better Mage player? I'm a Legend Renolock player and have reached Rank 5 with every class in the game except Mage. Whether it be Reno or Tempo, I feel like I constantly make mistakes in resource management (when to use burn on minions, when to save spells for Antonidas, when to play or hold back minions in Tempo, etc.)
I've watched StrifeCro play Reno Mage many times and have watched various streamers play Tempo Mage from older seasons, but I still have <50% winrate with both decks using only slight variants on the Tempostorm lists.
The only Mage deck I've had success with is the Wild Reno N'Zoth Mage, but that's because it's more minion-based, similar to Renolock.
Hello, big Jaina Fan here, in fact at least 60% of my total wins are with Jaina
i'd start with a simpler deck than tempo mage, Tempo/casino mage has this particular trait that most hearthstone players refuse to acknowledge or jsut flat out complain about but it's the ability where you have to carefully balance rng, when it's worth to risk it and how wide is the gap from best result to worst result plus if there's any chance of recovering from "worst result" or that "worst result" doesn't set you back at all, and when it's flat out better to go for the consistent yet possibly less efficient answer.
Simpler being something like Wild Mech Mage which can teach you a lot of basics on when to hold burn and when to use it as removal, maybe eschewing the Unstable Portal in favor of a more mid-rangy curve or removal.
