I'm a F2P player and I'd like to know if I should start saving gold for Un'goro or carry on opening packs. The only cards I lack from gadgetzan are Patches and Aya and I have almost completed my standard collection. What's your opinion ?
2 months is more than enough to collect all commons and rares, plus some epics and legendarys. It's only playing 2-3 times a week(when the quests feel up) plus some arena, sometimes. Oh, and Tavern Brawls, ofcorse.
Well firstly you should get enough dust to craft golden rag and sylvanas at the least (if you don't already have it) so later on you can dust the golden cards and get the full refund + the extra dust blizzard will give you. I think after you reached that point, you should prob just start saving up for more packs or if you're feeling confident enough, go spend it on arena which if you do even decently, (4+ wins) is a good investment in gold.
first of many expansions this year... its almost impossible to get all the new cards if u are a f2p player
I hear this all the time and it couldn't be further from the truth....I've been F2P for awhile now and i have zero problem collecting all the relevant cards and beyond. If you're a bad player that never does Arena i would imagine it's more difficult, but if you have any sort of skill while fulfilling daily quests it's not that hard.
Generally in a 4 month span you shouldn't have any problem getting 9,000 gold being on the average/low end. That is 90 packs on top of the freebies, promotions, monthly rewards, plus you DE the duplicates/bad cards to get the ones that matter...It's not that hard folks...
If you Arena and are good it's even easier......I do about 30 Arena runs a month, which is at least 30 packs on top of the dust/gold rewards and daily quests etc....I have no issues keeping up.
I'm at a fairly comfortable 4550 gold right now and should get to 6000 no problem by the end of March. And if it comes out mid-late April like I've been hearing then I'll probably end up with 7000 or so.

Start saving immediately. If you play enough, it's possible to hit around 3k gold by the time the expansion is released.
I am too Casual, I earn about 1700 gold a month on average. I Pre Purchased for $50 and will spend another $50 for 40 more packs. The rest I need i will try and get from gold earned each month till next expansion when i will rinse and repeat it seems. Still fun game tough and look forward to more changes

90 packs should be more than enough to get all the Commons and rares, you need. Epics can be more of an annoyance. If this expansion is like most previous expansions, there will be only 1 or 2 must have legendaries. Gadgetzan had more than its share of good legendaries so this might be trend going toward 3+ being must haves.
I would open your initial packs, spend your dust wisely then wait a month before buying more packs to gauge if you truly need more cards from the set. If you do, mass pack openings are more fun than single pack. If not, you are well on your way to saving some real money for when the next expansion hits.

well if you have no life and play 5hours a day yes but we speak for normal people here
and tbh 4 month 90 pack or 4 month 120 pack isnt enough at all, it means in one year you will have the classic set and 2 adventures haha, so much fun
I started to save gold just after the announcement. I do not have Patches nor Aya, but I do not care... I am not about the meta, especially now with the jade/pirate cancer state. Maybe you will get those two from the free pack rewards for logins after Un'Goro will be released (Day 1: 50 Gold / Day 2: 1 Mean Streets of Gadgetzan Pack / Day 3: 100 Arcane Dust / Day 4: 1 Old Gods Pack / Day 5: 1 Journey to Un'Goro Pack / Day 6: 50 Gold / Day 7: 1 Journey to Un'Goro Pack / Day 8 - Day 14: 50 Gold) :)

It will depend on what the set contains. It certainly doesn't hurt to start saving though just in case.
Way to late to start saving gold.

Your too late, should have started 2 months ago. There will be no saving your wallet. Rip

Even though i really want kazakus, but im saving for next expansion for two reasons.
first, my fav hero is pally.. and i want to get or craft pally legends/decks.
secondly, from the dust i get from the next expansion, i can do kazakus.. because i really didnt like this expansion
Minions, servants, soldiers of the cold dark! Obey the call...of Kel'Thuzad!
I won't be saving up for it, because I want to keep opening packs from all the other expansions, and then dust things that go wild.

I was thinking about it too, wanted to spend 3000 gold on tgt, but blizzard can't even balance standard...
You should start a little earlier, i have 3k now and going to save 5k for new expansion.
